Rob, Angela and Don are fantastic to work with for all your HVAC needs. We just recently had Don out for a service call and he was professional, friendly and got the job done quickly and efficiently. I'd rate this company with 10 stars if that was an option.

Don did a tune up on our AC. An email was sent telling us Don was coming. The email contained his photo. We also received a call telling us he was on his way. Don spent a long time cleaning, testing, and fixing our AC. He explained what he was doing and what needed to be done. He always wore shoe covers while in the house. Quality West and their employees are a first rate, dependable, and trustworthy company. We are grateful we can depend on them to keep us cool in the summer and warm in the winter. We renewed our tune up plan for the next two seasons.

Very happy! Don completed a thorough inspection of my furnace and identified several problem areas (it's over 20 years old), but didn't give me a hard sell for a new one. He found the exact reason my blower wasn't working (the controller board) and fixed the clogged drain pipe that caused the problem. After replacing the board, the furnace was back up and running again.

Rob and his guys (Bob and Dave) showed up on time and made quick work of getting my new high efficiency furnace/AC up and running and hauling out the old stuff. They kept everything nice and clean-wearing booties in the house and putting down a drop cloth. Couldn't ask for better service or pricing. Thanks!

This team has been working on a project at a building I lease for a few weeks now. They have been timely, flexible, polite and professional. They are replacing a water heater and 2 air conditioning units and have done great work so far. They explained the process and showed us around the new appliances.

We first met Rob when he installed our A/C about 4 years ago. We were very pleased with his work, and started to use him to service our boiler. When making his annual service call, he discovered that our boiler was leaking carbon monoxide, and so he replaced it with a new unit. The plumbing is a work of art! We would not hesitate to refer him.

QUALITY WEST HEATING & COOLING -- These guys are competent, but their labor appears to be $450 per hour.

Two Fridays ago, the boiler for the hot water heat in my rental property went on the fritz. The boiler would ignite but would quit firing after 4-5 seconds. My tenant had called Quality West three months before when this had happened, so I called them myself. Josh answered the phone, looked up the record, quoted me a $99 service call and said he could get someone out there on Monday. Don arrived at 9AM on Monday morning and took about twenty minutes to diagnose the problem. He then explained to me how the boiler is on its last legs and should be replaced. (Admittedly, it is an old boiler.) Off the top of his head, he quoted about $11,000 to replace the unit. I said this was a rental property and that was not in the cards. He punched some stuff into his tablet and came up with an estimate of $1014 to get the unit running again, and because of its age, there would be no warranty on the work. I was shocked, but told him to go ahead since it was cold and had been all weekend.

He completed the work within 60 minutes and presented me with a bill for $1064. When I challenged the extra $50, he told me that service calls on forced air units are $99, but calls on boilers are $149. He said Josh had misquoted the amount (even though Josh had been looking at the record of the last repair when I talked to him on Friday). Don would not budge on the $50, even though I had been misquoted. Don took my credit card. I asked for a detailed receipt. He confirmed my e-mail address and told me I should have the receipt right away. He then went on to tell me that a replacement system would be $13,000 to $17,000! I told him that I had just replaced the forced air system in my own home for $3400. He said the process was completely different, telling me that just the shipping of the unit from manufacturer to distributor cost $4000! He then proceeded to show me photos of a recent installation that included all new piping, an in-line water heater, along with the boiler itself. I reminded him again that this is a rental property. At that point he left. The e-mailed receipt never showed up. I ended up make three calls to the office over three days, before I got the receipt. They claimed they had the wrong address, even though I had confirmed it with three people, Josh, Don and Lynn. When it showed up, it contained no detail other than “replace universal ignition module” and an amount of $540 and “replace intermittent pilot assembly” and an amount of $375.

So based on this information, I did some research. The price for a universal ignition module ranges from $81 to $101, with an average of $91. The price for a boiler pilot assembly ranges from $32 to $60, with an average of $46. So total parts appear to equal $137. With a 20% mark-up, that’s a total of $164. If you subtract $164 from $1064, you’re left with $900.00 in labor for about 1.75 hours of work. It’s not often that I get taken, but Quality West is a firm I will NEVER use again.

Thank you quality West (especially Chris) for installing my brand-new boiler system. HVAC companies around Colorado act like they know what they're talking about when it comes to boilers, but they just don't. Thanks for being my "go to guys" for my new system. Your installation was prompt, your price was competitive, and we couldn't be more pleased.

Don B called before he arrived and gave an accurate ETA. While he ran diagnostics on several parts of the furnace, he explained what and why he was doing. He had the furnace running in less than an hour and ran several tests before leaving to make sure all was in order. I highly recommend Quality West!

This company attempted to charge me an additional $70 for a HVAC service and clean solely because I am selling. They then instead of writing me a receipt for the clean and service wrote up that I declined a bunch of work which in turn meant I had to have another company come out and redo all of their work so that the sale of my place did not fall through. It also turns out that the work they quoted me for cost $350 less than they quoted me. My suggestion is to call another company or at least do some cross referencing on the quotes they are giving you because they are ripping you off. If I could give a 0 stars I would.
