Our heater was not working, so Bill Smith sent a man out. He checked the switches and they weren't dead. He replaced the filter. He said the AC tower was all clogged with dust. He called his boss and they referred me to a duct cleaning company that wants 700. for a cleaning! Now I'm out the money for Bill Smith and I still have a broken heater! Couldn't he have cleaned the AC tower so it would work now? Grrrr....Feel ripped off. And cold. Won't call these guys again.

Terrible customer service, not customer friendly. $60 trip charge & $120 an hour, or $30 for every 15 mins. Repair guy who was here made sure to stretch a 15 minute job into a 33 minute job by taking his time, sitting out in his truck for 14 minutes just to write a receipt (yes they count that as time too) to turn the job into a 45 min fee. Most repair people would have not counted 3 minutes as an additional $30. Feel very much taken advantage of. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

They were called to see why the AC kept tripping the breaker. I think safety is one of the most important considerations when hiring a tradesman. How can I not share my experience when Bill Smith's tech and staff recommend swapping out a 15 amp breaker to a 25 amp so it would stop tripping. As a note before I proceed a licensed electrician has said a 15 amp breaker is the max that could be safely installed. They essentially wanted to bypass a safety measure because they couldn't figure out anything else. I equate it to covering a smoke alarm because it keeps going off or swapping out a GFCI outlet to a normal outlet so you can shower and dry your hair at the same time. Point being this was a dangerous suggestion.

A few notes:
-Bill Smith staff admitted they are not qualified to handle electrical issues
-According to them the minimum amperage should be 13.6 amps
- they didn't know the wire gauge and if it could handle the larger breaker
- if they would have done their job and done what they are qualified to do there might not have been a problem. Just because you cannot figure out what's wrong doesn't mean you should put people's lives in danger.

Bill Smith Plumbing has done consistently excellent work on the plumbing in my older home, from repair to remodeling to replacing old pipes. Rates are reasonable and the personnel are friendly and efficient.

Lance is one of the best workers they have it's upper management that sucks. Upper management will not answer phones. They want Lance and two or three of the ladies to answer the phones. When there is like five lazy guys sitting around. Lance was the best plumber until personal stuff. Then he became office help he is the best at customer service he really is. It's upper management and owner that's running customer service and family friendly business into the ground. So when you call a business and you feel like it's that person dont . Just remember greed takes over alot of people .I wish the company would go back to the way they was everyone was family. The plumbers and office personal stuck together like family. So they treated customers like family.

Called them to get an estimate on leak in my crawlspace. They told me over the phone it would be 60 dollars to come out. They spent 15 minutes in my crawlspace and then gave me an estimate for the repair. I then get a bill a month later for 90 dollars. 60 for the call and 30 for "labor". According to the not so friendly customer service guy I talked to over the phone, the "labor" that it takes to get into a crawlspace and look at a leaking pipe is not covered in their 60 dollar house call charge.

my property management company has used Bill Smith Plumbing several times int he last year. The results have always been satisfactory and the work completed in a timely and professional manner.

Bill Smith's people are terrific. Solved my older gas furnace problem right out of the box, no hesitation for a fraction of what the much larger, heavily advertised plumbers estimated. Would use them again.

Improperly installed a $25 thermostat for my 93 year old mother in law and then charged her $318.00. They didn't even check to see if it worked. Seniors be aware.
