MESA Plumbing, Heating and Cooling

We hired Mesa to clear a clog and replace a shower head in a rental property. They cleared the clog and supposedly replaced the shower fixture (a 20 min - 30 min service visit). When I went to check on the work, the complete shower fixture had not been replaced, only a small part inside. Mesa incorrectly billed us $515 for the work (invoice #50931437). I brought this to their attention, when they called for payment, and was told they would "get back to me." Instead, they waited several weeks and called again for payment. This time, I was out of town and they got my assistant. He paid the bill, not knowing the invoice was incorrect. The work itself was acceptable. The overcharge for work not done, subsequent billing snafu, and lack of follow-up was extremely unprofessional.

Update: An employee of Mesa plumbing ("Patrick") followed up after finding this review, agreed that the work wasn't done as indicated on the invoice, but did not offer to credit/refund or do anything else to address the matter. He literally hung up on me. The one star review stands.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WOULD NEVER WORK WITH THEM AGAIN. TOTAL LACK OF TRANSPARENCY AROUND HOW THEY BILL. According to people in the industry I was really overcharged for the work that they did. They were going to charge $325 to come out and give me an estimate, which would not have been applied towards the work if I contracted with them. I said I was going to check with other places and they called me back as I was doing that saying they "wanted my business" and they would come out and do the estimate for free. Because I was under time pressure I said ok. However, I had asked multiple times what the cost of creating an easy access to my sewer line would be (they also did a sewer cleaning at an acceptable cost) and the office manager insisted that she did not have access to fees. This is my main gripe with them - that they have a TOTAL LACK OF TRANSPARENCY AROUND WHAT AND HOW THEY WILL BILL YOU OR WHAT A RANGE OF COST COULD BE. So what happened is that I was billed $560 for less than an hour's worth of work and for about $25 worth of parts. Once the plumber was on site, and with the company's knowledge that I was under time pressure to get the work done, I was told that the cost would be $560. I approved that cost because I never imagined that the work would involve so little time and so little in materials and I didn't want to lose another day or more getting another plumber. The office manager will not give any indication of how things get billed (is there an hourly fee?...) and the plumbers simply plug something into their device and out comes a price so they don't know how things are actually priced, either. 2 good things - they were able to do the work quickly and the 2 men who came out, 1 each for the two jobs, were very nice to work with. But, the office manager is all sweet sounding until you ask her questions she doesn't want to answer and then she is terrible to relate with. My advice: find another plumbing company if you are considering Mesa

Our kitchen sink was clogged on both sides and started filling water into our dishwasher. MESA Plumbing (Robert Acosta) was able to come out the same day to fix it. Robert was very friendly and professional. He explained in detail everything he had to do to fix the clog. He was very thorough and truly cared. He triple, triple checked that the drain/pipe was clear before he left. He also made sure to clean up after he left. One thing I would say is that $300 seemed a little steep to unclog a pipe, but the fact that they were able to come out the same day made it worth it.

Aaron went above and beyond. He was very thoughtful, knowledgeable and patient. He answered all of our questions and is a delight to work with. We are looking forward to our spring AC checkup.

After hearing so many were pleased with Mesa we gave them a shot when our sump pump failed while away and we came home to a swimming pool inside our basement. The technicians spent hours working to fix what had happened.
True professionals who are punctual, knowledgeable and very kind. They promised us an 8am appointment and didn't disappoint giving room to driving in mind so they were there at around 8:12 which was beyond fine. We were just ecstatic they could get to us so soon when no one else was calling us back or were already full up. When they were done they cleaned up their mess and even straightened some things that they didn't have to. This is a company that cares about their customers. I feel bad for the poor boy who took my frantic request but even he treated me with kindness and patience.
Edit: Just had more great service with them today and still the best around!

So happy they were so responsive and helpful. Technician was on time and wonderful. The call team was very considerate and also very helpful.

Aaron was great! Very professional, courteous, and thorough. He explained everything he did and I feel good about the state of my furnace. I will definitely use Mesa again in the future.

I have nothing but praise for this company and the tech that solved my issue, Spencer Mochal. I had an emergency with a broken water main, and MESA sent Spencer to help the same day I called. Due to some difficulties contacting the people in charge of disabling the water to my unit, the problem couldn't be fixed that same day. I was able to get in contact the next day, and MESA and Spencer again made time to come out and the issue was quickly fixed.

Spencer was consistently friendly and professional throughout the process, answering all my questions, explaining my options, and helping me understand my current situation as well as the overall plumbing situation in my home. Many thanks to Spencer, and many thanks to MESA!
