I've used Bernie's for nearly 30 years and they are great. They do solid work at a fair price and I know they won't try to oversell me on services or products I don't really need. Highly recommend them!

I have relied on Bernie’s Plumbing since 1983 and they have never let me down. They are always reliable, knowledgeable, personable, trustworthy, and able to resolve problems.Bernie’s has helped me with everything from maintaining the boiler and replacing the hot water heater to re-routing the pipes after discovering a slow leak under the foundation, replacing toilets, installing faucets, etc. I’m so happy that they’re still in business, because it seems that Boulder has a serious shortage of people who know how to do this kind of work. The folks at Bernie's take good care of me. I have a complicated radiant heating system, and they work very hard to make sure it's running as efficiently as possible. And they're really nice, and good communicators. They are not the cheapest, but they are super quality and I trust them.

Leroy, the plumber that did the installation was simply amazing! A very detailed oriented person proud to do an excellent job. During the installation of the new water heater, he took the time to re-route and simplify the gas supply lines. The result is a very clean installation with all the piping just done right.

We've used Bernie's at least three times. They do very good work at a reasonable time-and-materials cost, unlike some of the area shops which spend tons and tons of money on advertising and charge accordingly. As a general rule, btw, the more times you see ads for "Amazing Plumbing," or whatever, in the Daily Camera or in coupon books, the more you need to avoid such a company. And beware "flat rate" billing. Speaking from experience.

Over Decades, we’ve relied on one Company, BERNIES! for many difficult repairs. Our House was built in 1900 without major modernization. BERNIES is a family-owned business, where all the staff are specialists, a business we can afford and trust, is a rare occurrence.

Good technicians these days are hard to find. I'm so glad I found Bernie's Plumbing. Their service technicians performed the repairs on my hot water heating system with a high level of expertise. Beside that, they were curious and punctual. This is a great company.

Bernie's is the best! They are my first call for any plumbing issues for myself and my clients. Their technicians never try to sell you more than what is needed for the repair. Truly a great LOCAL business. Their pricing is fair and the work is excellent!

We have worked with Bernie’s for a number of years for all sorts of jobs and repairs, and while we have always been happy with the work performed (they are responsive, good service), I am now giving a low-star review because as a consumer, we deserve to know when a company also provides a good value or not, or when we feel we are unfairly ripped off.

I called Bernie’s about replacing a filter that plumbing supply stores would not sell to me directly, but quoted me as in the $30-$70 range for the part (which I could have replaced myself, had I been able to buy it, according to the plumber to originally installed it but was unavailable to replace). The serviceman came, and replaced the part in a matter of minutes. I was charged $354, presented in an ambiguous invoice. When I called to understand more, it was explained that the part was $150+ and I was charged for an hour of labor $155. Again, I have no issue with the quality of the service, however I can no longer recommend Bernie’s in good faith, because when I recommend a company to others, it is important to be satisfied with the product or the work as well as not feel like you are being ripped off. I simply had no idea I would be charged $354 to unscrew and replace a filter I couldn’t purchase directly. Personally, I would have thought that as a client, Bernie’s would have at least disclosed these costs, as our conversation and my additional research certainly implied that this was a small and simple replacement.

After I called, the price of the part was somehow lowered and I received an invoice for $30 less. However, I am disappointed in this experience, and I can no longer recommend Bernie’s because I don’t feel I was treated very fairly as a customer. Again, I have had other good experiences working with Bernie’s but I feel strongly enough now that I choose to use my voice as a consumer to communicate that Bernie’s is not a good value- in fact I feel quite ripped off.

We have used Bernies's for multiple projects at our home including new installations and repairs. We generally get Joe who is fantastic. They are always on target with their quotes, they show up when expected and the work is always fabulous. Our latest project, a new hot water heater, went great. I highly recommend this great company.
