Had 2 Nests installed. Robert did an excellent job. He knew what he was doing, was efficient, and explained things along the way as well as gave tips. Southland also called me back the very next day after going through Nest to find an installer. Great experience.

This was the first time I used Southland, so naturally I was a little apprehensive of a new vendor. Brian checkout out our heater and found that we had a clogged air line on a control valve- a simple fix that a clean out solved. No parts needed, no sales pressure, just great honest service. Highly recommended.

The crew installed my air conditioning very efficiently and was very considerate of my time. They kept the noise down and made sure everything was taken care of. They worked together as a team and I truly enjoyed watching that. Really great company!

We had substantial smoke, soot and ash damage from the recent Woolsey Fire. An inspector from Ventura County came to inspect all our damage including to our HVAC system. A completely new system was needed, including new ducting, heater, condenser, air conditioner, etc. He also recommended our heater and condenser location be changed from a closet near the laundry room to the attic. The inspector wrote a complete report of all the damage and recommended Southland Heating and Air Conditioning as the best company for me to use. I called Matt Alba, who came out quickly to meet with us. He was extremely knowledgeable and quickly came up with a thorough plan for us to have all this work completed. He also worked with me in regards to my concerns about air quality and included an air scrubber in my new system. My insurance company had questions and Matt spoke with them directly and went through everything that was needed and why it was needed. This was invaluable to help my insurance claim go very smoothly. Once we had the insurance company’s go ahead (which only took a couple of days after Matt’s conversation with them), Southland’s team efficiently and thoroughly completed the work. All work was done excellently. We also had a new Nest thermostat installed. The team was quick to respond, knowledgeable and communicated completely with me regarding my options, brands, size of units, etc. They communicated completely with me, answered all my questions and shared so much information with me, I feel like I know so much more about all the options, the equipment and how it all works. They also came by two times over the following months to assure the balance was good. I can’t say enough about the job they did for me. I couldn’t be happier with them. True professionals!

Robert Alfonso was our technician he was excellent in his workmanship and precision he was knowledgeable and intelligent. Robert took his time to fine details and tested his final completion of work to make sure the system was 100% operational. I highly recommend Robert Alfonso and ask for him as your technician.

Southland came out the evening I called and repaired my AC same day, during a heat wave in July. My unit was difficult to do maintenance on due to the way it was installed (maintenance door opens against house). Our technician, Christian, had to work in darkness, laying in rose bushes, but got it done. He was a bit later than the call-time window of 5-8 PM. (He arrived 8:45 PM.) I didn't mind one bit. Just so happy to have a functioning air conditioner. I feel the price was fair for the labor and parts involved. I would use Southland again for sure.

Highly recommend Southland Heating and Air. Techs replaced two AC units, heat pumps and thermostats in our unit. Everything from start to finish was well coordinated including a crane to lift the condensers to the rooftop and city permits.

Easy to work with, prompt, courteous and Covid compliant.
