They really PUSH a "club" that costs $20/month ($240/year) for in case you have additional problems. Sorry, but we weren't going to pay an additional $240 to belong to a "club" for services that we don't need. Otherwise, our experience was great. We had an emergency, they showed up within hours of our initial call, right on time. They were very professional, took care of the problem, showed us how to use the new thermostat, what to watch for, and even included pleasant conversation during the visit.
My girlfriends AC unit was only blowing out warm air. Called Rod Johnson Air Conditioning yesterday (Saturday) and Dave from the company came out today (Sunday). Dave was so awesome. Within 10 minutes of quick troubleshooting, he figured out the exact problem (bad capacitor) and fixed the problem on the spot, a total of 15-20 minutes total. The AC is working perfectly now. What was exceptional about his service was that he explained how this problem was caused as well as how to maintain AC units in the future. My own AC unit blew out at my own home and I told him what my observations were when the AC stopped working. Since I live a bit far, he gave me an idea of what the problem is and what to check for when I got home. He was so trustworthy and I’m so glad we weren’t tricked into buying a whole AC unit like some companies will try to have you do. Dave was very friendly and knowledgeable. Although I live about 75 miles away, I’m seriously considering having Dave come out to fix my AC as well since he can be trusted and will provide an honest diagnosis. To everyone in Lodi and Stockton, this company is hands down the best. Quick, honest, and exceptional customer service. Ask for Dave.
Had the winter "service" appt yesterday. The tech Karen Ayon did great. Explained all the procedures and ensure the heating system was A OK. I have used Rod Johnson off and on for 20+ years.
Yong was very helpful in diagnosing the issue with my AC. The unit was installed the next week and Billy and David were professional and on time. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. I'm looking forward to a cooler summer.

Terrible customer service! Its been about a year now..... I finally got a call back but have been waiting about 2 months for a follow up call from mgr miss Steve... I did get an apology after my last review, but nothing has changed. Except my NEW AC is NOT working!!!!! The final permit had not yet been done now a year later. And the customer service in my experience has been far below poor!
Last summer my AC went out. Dead. Called Rod Johnson, I did shop prices and they were average- very fair so I called them back and had my AC installed fairly quick. Then all the PROBLEMS started! The installers lest a mess in the furnace and water heater room! And they left pipes blocking access to the vent where I need to be able to access in order to change the filter!?!? They also left an area of the furnace exposed, missing a tube, they said they would come out asap because it where the carbon monoxide escapes. When more than 2 weeks passes no word I called them and they did come out brushed off my concerns saying it's only an issue if I run the heater which in summer I wouldnt.... months later they finally called to do 1st inspection for the permit... surprise didn't pass! I spoke with Steve a women and I expressed my dissatisfaction. She seemed to care promised a call back and a refund or compensation of some sort. She said she only needed to talk to one of the owners. And now 3 months later I am still waiting to hear from her. They have not yet rescheduled my next city inspection to finalize my Permit. To my family, friends, and followers... would I recommend? NO. NEVER!!!
Glenn and Billy came out and cleaned the evap coil. They did an amazing job and were very responsible workers in response to the Covid pandemic. They knew exactly what to do and got right on it. Definitely using this company again.
The in home quote process was professional and the prices very competitive, i have used this company before and would consider it the future. He listened to what i wanted and provided answers to my questions. 4 stares out of five because While I messaged them requesting a quote via the website that system was not effective and i had to reach out by phone call or email.
