I have used this company for 2 big jobs on 2 separate occasions. One was for a new electrical panel and the other was for a new air conditioning unit. I was very pleased with both projects. They are honest, offer fair pricing and clean. Recently, in this heat wave, our air conditioning unit went out. They were able to come out the next day to take care of us. Franky was the technician. He was both down to earth and professional. Also, very knowledgable. I highly recommend this company. I have always been taken care of in a timely manner.

I called Kilowatt to come out because my system stopped working. I wasn’t sure what was going on, but the office staff made everything so easy! The office staff made sure someone came out the next day and they diagnosed the problem! They changed my filters and explained why it is important to do maintenance, I had no idea I had to do routine maintenance! I’ll be replacing my system soon because it hasn’t been changed and I will be sure to call Kilowatt. The technician was clean and extremely thorough. So happy I found them!

Hands down, they are the best service company we have ever worked with. We are selling our 1938 house, which is need of some major updating, including our HVAC and electric. Definitely a stressful time for us, selling a house and having to get new "systems." But Dean Gilford and his amazing crew of technicians (most notably Joe and Hector) made the experience anxiety-free and smooth with their professionalism, good humor and humanity. This is a company that functions like a family. They all like each other, which makes for a calm, smooth, efficient operation. They got our major work done quickly and perfectly. We love our new HVAC and sub panel so much that we wish we could stay. One thing's for sure: whoever buys our house will have not air, heat or electrical complaints. I can't recommend Kilowatt enough. They are amazing!

Because I did not take the time in making this major (HVAC) buying decision which I had promised myself I would(!), I was too focused on shopping for a lower price (cheaper is oftentimes not less expensive!) and I ended up being too vulnerable to the sales pitch delivered by the salesman I signed up with. Had I actually really taken the proper amount of time to consider ALL aspects (there is a lot to consider) involved in this decision, I feel that I would have gone with Kilowatt.
So, even though I personally can’t say much about the work Kilowatt does, their reviews of work done over the course of many years clearly indicate that they’ve made their customers very pleased and satisfied with the work that they’ve done in the installation of HVAC systems.
Another important factor to consider:
I can say that, without a doubt, that their office/administrative staff—and this is said without being hyperbolic, are the best office staff I’ve dealt with in a long time, and you’re going to find that what I say is right on the money when you contact them. Even their after hours/late night answering service personnel are professional, polite, and very willing to help you pass along a message to owner Dean Gilford and/or the office staff. For me, that is a first. Never have I experienced a late night answering service that had such nice and professional personnel. None even close to Kilowatt’s. This obviously is the result of Dean’s dedication to running a totally professional business.
As far as the office staff, there is Jessica, then Debbie, and Valerie. I spent most of my phone time with Debbie, and she was, to make it brief and leave out all the applicable adjectives, very personable, patient, knowledgeable, and totally there to serve you the best way that she can. Jessica I didn’t speak with a lot, but enough that I can say she is as well a very nice person who is there to provide the best in customer service. Valerie I spent very little time on the phone with, but she also is very nice and helpful, and, judging from the service that Debbie and Jessica provided, would surely provide excellent service for you.
The office staff is as great as it is surely not by a great stroke of luck that Dean benefitted from. They are who they are because I know that Dean would not have it any other way.
You should definitely have Dean appraise your house and give you his ideas about a system best suited for your house and your needs. My hindsight tells me that I made my purchase decision too quickly, which is the wrong way to go when making such a major buying decision. I feel that the better decision would have been Dean and Kilowatt Heating & A/C. I will, without any hesitation or reservation, recommend Dean and Kilowatt.

I called to get an estimate for a new ac unit for my townhouse. Then, the owner showed up in my home in less than 15 minutes. We bought 3 new high quality units in our HOA.
Now kilowatt takes care of the maintenance through their maintenance club they sold to us. All 3 units are working excellent and we are very happy with their professional experience how they take care of their customers.

Thank you so much for the incredible job your company did installing my new A/C and heating system. Rick Gomez was WONDERFUL, so friendly and professional, and all his guys were top notch. Everyone worked with speed and efficiency, and took careful pains to protect my home during the process. I can't believe how clean they would leave the workstation, even when just leaving to go to lunch. I stayed home while the work was done (it forced me to do my taxes), and sometimes I even forgot there was a crew in the house. Everyone was so polite and respectful, I was amazed how un-disrupting it was.
I thank all involved for a stellar job. I look forward to using my new A/C as it gets hotter and hotter...
