The service we received from Kilowatt was beyond expectation starting with our first contact with Valeria and Jessica, and ending with the installation and inspection of our unit. The unit we were replacing was exceptionally loud and unreliable, and some rooms varied in temperature by as much as 6 degrees. We wanted a quiet and energy efficient system that maintained a comfortable temperature in every room. We were told by other companies that our duct work was likely at fault for the uneven air distribution, and due to the placement of our unit we were advised that the noise could only be minimally muted.
When we met with Dean, he presented several options and thoroughly explained the differences. We were assured that he could install a system that would heat and cool evenly without having to replace the ducts, and he guaranteed a quiet, efficient unit.
The install crew, Ernie, Joe, Armando, Jose and Hector, arrived at the scheduled time, and carefully protected all work areas. Their attention to detail was exceptional and by the end of the day we had a system that met all of our expectations.
We have, for the first time since moving into our home 20 years ago, a whisper quiet unit that cools and heats every room evenly.
Without a doubt we made the best decision by choosing Kilowatt. We have a great system, and had a wonderful experience with everyone on the team.

Our air conditioner condenser fan stopped working during the middle of a heat wave. Wouldn't you know it. The unit was almost 30 years old, so I feared the worst. The tech guy came out the next day and after checking out the AC system, he confirmed my suspicions. We had to replace the system. This is where it gets better. During the middle of a heat wave and the Pandemic with supply shortages, they were able to get me a new HVAC system and install it in just 2 days! All that and at a reasonable price too! (I know that because I had been shopping to a new system for another location.) Dean and his crew were great. They showed up in the morning and worked as a team to have our air conditioner working by that afternoon. And as a fix-it guy myself, I knew these guys knew what they were doing. They do good work-no short cuts. Now for the best part, because it is more energy efficient than the old one, our new system is going to help pay for its self. You can't go wrong with Kilowatt.

Dean and his team were amazing. In and out in 2 days with no mess and no fuss, just consummate professionalism. Even our dog liked his team who were all very friendly. The best part? No one talked down to us, something that was very refreshing for my fiance.
We live in Van Nuys and had no air so this past summer was brutal. We called around and Dean gave us a great price and an upgraded thermostat for no additional charge. They did the works. Ducting, compressor, cut an access in our hallway for the unit to go in our attic, removed the old wall heater, pulled the old swamp cooler vents/ducting, etc. We couldn't be happier.

We needed a new HVAC system he went over everything they would be doing how long it will take how big of a unit it will be and then brought us a portable unit till they get back to do the job. Definitely would recommend them to family and friends.

Kilowatt installed a complex new system, including ducts, in my home last month. We were very happy with their work and expertise, and the entire crew was excellent. They were not the cheapest quote we got, but they were the most professional, reliable, and trustworthy. We were so happy we had them install another new system in a different property a few weeks later.

Please beware! I asked this company to install a new air conditioning system. The installer drilled through my water line. I think this says it all.
I see that you have changed your response below to acknowledge that you did, indeed, damage my water line. Before, you said you “repaired a pipe my contractor damaged”. Now, you are acknowledging that "accidents happen." This highlights my challenges with management there, with the mindless haphazard responses I underwent working with Kilowatt.
Regarding your mention of “discontinuing service to our property”, what actually happened was you sent one of your guys on a service call to my property to repair units we purchased and were installed by Kilowatt. A short time later after the service call, subject units continued to malfunction, and you refused to direct the guys to go back and repair the units after we paid for the service call. So, why not give me my money back and stand behind the work you have done? If you claimed that the equipment was not well maintained, why take my money in the first place? In addition, regarding subject units not being properly maintained; the sticker that has your smiling picture on it that is paste to each unit we purchased from Kilowatt shows many dates your crew serviced the units.
So, I am not sure what you are referring to when you say the “equipment has not been properly maintained”. I just wanted you to stand behind products you spoke so highly of, and you did not do that. Please keep in mind Mr. Kilowatt, I purchased about ten new units from you and all new units were installed by Kilowatt. I thought you would have said thank you for the super business I gave to you! But instead, I was greeted with unprofessionalism and disrespect. And, I will not let you get away with it. For example, I would tell you about the negative encounters with folks in the office; but for some reason, you would immediately discount them without any support for your behavior whatsoever. I simply wanted to be treated nicely and professionally when requesting service calls for units we purchased from Kilowatt. I know that employee relations are challenging sometimes, but such challenges must be dealt with instead of re-directing the frustration back to the customer.
I tried to continue working with Kilowatt because I am a nice person. And, I give folks the benefit of the doubt and time to work out challenges. However, when the same issues continued to happen such as the overt disrespect demonstrated by management and some folks in the office, it became clear over time my concerns needed to be voiced and those conveyed concerns fell on deaf ears. Hopefully, my appearance was not the encouragement for those actions.
The right thing to do is apologize; and, I will continue to share my experience to ensure folks are aware of this company’s misgivings. I pray you will learn to listen to your customers in the future rather than talk over them and minimize their feedback. To all who are reading this review, with Mr. Kilowatt's smiling face on the website, “just because you see the lion’s teeth, that does not mean the lion is smiling”.
