Kilowatt Heating, Air Conditioning and Electrical

Thanks for installing a great AC system for my mom’s home and putting in a 200 amp panel. Sorry we couldn’t convince her to move it up to the attic. That would have made for a nice bathroom upgrade!

Francis came out recently and performed excellent and cheerful maintenance on our heating and air conditioning system. My wife and I have always appreciated Kilowatt's service.

Kilowatt is fantastic. Initial call was with Dean who was at my house same day to look at the setup and give an estimate for HVAC replacement. Received an estimate the same day as well for a heat pump.

Where they stand out:

1. Not the cheapest but you get the most value. This isn't to say they are 2X but I'd say within 10%. With that being said, there were a lot of unknowns discovered during installation and his crew took care of it (including running an additional 50ft of PVC for condensation drainage). There were other things that came up and they were great about dealing with it. LADWP has a $3000 rebate if you go heat pump and Kilowatt took care of the paperwork.

2. Cleanliness. Everyone cleaned up at the end of each day and left it spotless. I've had other contractors before who just dump things into my trash can but these guys took everything.

3. Crew. This should be #1 but they were super nice and friendly. Some of the guys have been working for Dean over 20 yrs - that says a lot in my mind.

4. Options. Dean laid out options and didn't try to recommend a specific solution. When I asked him for details, he shared the pros/cons of each.

Overall very happy with Kilowatt and have now hired them for electrical rewiring too (yes, they're a licensed electrical contractor too!)

Showed up on time. Professional, courteous, neat, respectful...made sure I was satisfied before leaving...definitely recommend. Have used them before for repairs and experienced the same professional services.

I've been using Kilowatt for 16 years now. A/C and heating, electrical panel upgrade, attic insulation and Dean and his team even cleared my gutters! The service is white glove amazing! They are honest, professional, friendly and leave your home spotless. I will continue to recommend them to everyone who needs home services.

During the first big heat wave of the summer my AC went out.
I called Kilowatt and was immediately connected with Dean, the owner. He was very competent and concerned and he took my system info.
This happened on a holiday weekend and I couldn't be happier when Vernon arrived in the afternoon and went to work on the condenser. 2 hours later, a few new parts and more importantly, a lot of hard work, technical knowledge and good communication with me the AC worked again. I was so pleased.
I highly recommend both Kilowatt and Vernon.

I was looking for an emergency hvac repair and called a bunch of places in the valley. Ana, the receptionist, was so kind and went above and beyond to get me a same day appointment! She was very professional and made the all thing very easy and personable. I was actually able to get ahold of my home warranty in the end and they sent someone else out, but I had a really great experience through Ana and plan to use kilowatt in the future for repairs! Thanks Ana you were awesome!

Byron arrived on time. We asked few questions about the gas bills and the HVAC systems. He answered all questions. He was pleasant, polite and professional. We are very happy customer.

Kilowatt did a fantastic job replacing our HVAC unit, which went out during the 2020 record breaking heatwave. An added challenge was getting the new unit from the street onto the far end of our two story building roof. This was deftly handled by Dean and his crew. We highly recommend them. If you need heating and AC work done, go with them. You'll be glad you did!
