    I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for A/C install for June 23. They gave me a 5 hour appointment window when the other companies I contacted gave 2 hour windows. I waited the entire 5 hours and nobody showed up or contacted me to let me know they weren’t coming. I went to the “contact” section of their website and let them know what had happened and asked them to contact me by email. On June 29 (6 days later) I received a phone call message saying that they saw my appointment had been cancelled and to call them if I wanted to reschedule. When I called and explained that I had not cancelled my appointment they claimed that they no longer service my area even though I live 10 minutes from their Cotati location, am listed in their service area on their webpage, and frequently see their vans gassing up 5 minutes from my house. When I again mentioned that I was never contacted about a cancelled appointment (but did receive an email confirming my appointment) she said they should have notified me. I don’t know how this company stays in business!

    I reached out to Smart 72 in August 2022 when we were experiencing problems with our split AC/Heating system. Bianca arrived the next day and sold us an annual maintenance plan as we had several systems on our property, we thought this would be useful. I really wanted to give Smart 72 five stars and tell everyone how great they are but we have been extremely patient and disappointed! Over the course of the next 8 months we had service calls that were “no shows”, incorrect parts ordered (delaying our project), & used parts that showed up with our technician (unable to be installed). At one point a technician had installed a part incorrectly which caused our system to arch (& it was smoking and could have caused a house fire!). We have paid @ $4,000 to this company and our system is still not repaired! Now we are being told that all of the employees quit in the North Bay & that things are being managed from San Luis Obispo!?! All we want is a system that works! At one point a Manager (Gene) told us that they would complete our repair at no additional cost to us. We are still waiting for Smart 72 to make good on that promise!

    I can't say enough positive things about Smart72 HVAC. They are one of the best HVAC companies I have ever worked with and as a facilities manager for a multi-site statewide company, I have worked with MANY. I was replacing TWO ancient furnaces and adding A/C into a duplex and the cost estimates I received from multiple vendors came in very high. After seeing Smart72 at the County Fair, I decided to give them a shot and I am so glad that I did. The ENTIRE crew from start to finish were spectacular. The estimator was informative and took her time going over all the options and energy efficiencies with me--when I explained that I was going to have to put off the replacement for another year in order to save enough $ for the job she asked what my budget was and moved heaven and earth to make it so that we could start the install right away. They beat competitors prices by five figures. The units they installed were quality and the installers were timely, professional, clean, thorough, and VERY hard working. They worked 11 hour days to get the job done quickly. They even noticed that my dryer vent was not properly exhausting to the exterior and they ran a new vent line while they were under the house working on the A/C. The units have been in for 6 months now--through extreme heat and freezing temps and they've been working wonderfully. When I scheduled the winter service the website was easy to work with and they fit me in same week! The service techs were thorough and helpful. Smart72 has a customer for life, I will be using them for my mom's house next! I recommend them without hesitation.

    Sadly, I would have given them great reviews. However, they do not return calls and we are running out of time to have the inspection signed off. I paid 13k for new installation and I have no idea if it will meet inspection or is up to code. Have been trying for several days to get them to call me back. Don't pay them in full until all inspections are done! I wish I hadn't. They also sell their services by saying that seasonal inspection/maintenance is part of the contract for the first year - oh and they guarantee their work. Sadly, can't schedule them for the spring maintenance and not sure what I will do if I have a problem. Nobody will return calls and now, when I try calling the call is dropped before it goes through. At this point, I think I may have wasted 13k. I wish I'd gone with someone else.

    I cannot remember the last time I contacted a business that personally answered the phone, made an appointment, and followed-up with a reminder call as promised. On the day of the appointment, I received another call telling me they were on their way. They arrived 10 minutes early. Two technicians checked my aging heating system. They thoroughly explained what they were doing and what they were looking for. They were polite and knowledgeable. After checking the heat output at the room registers in the house and changing the filter we have not only a comfortable temperature but we have peace of mind. The amazing part of this story is that I phoned Smart 72 off of an ad that came in a "ValuePak" of multiple local business services. This service call was for the bargain price of $20.00! I will absolutely call Smart 72 in the future and recommend them without hesitation.

    Met Bailey from Smart72 luckily when he came to our home in response to our filing a home warranty claim related to our heating system. We are evaluating air conditioning installers and Bailey went above and beyond to evaluate our current heating system and educate us on our options, and delivered an estimate based on our goals the same day. If we move forward I will update review, but I recommend getting an evaluation and estimate, you’ll come away better educated on your home and options!

    Jesse was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He explained the maintenance and what potential issues he was looking for. Luckily my system is working well, but he did let me know about a few things to keep an eye on. No pushy sales pitches, only education and expertise!

    We are American Homeshield Service clients and Smart 72 is subcontracted to fix our heating system. Took them almost 4 weeks to fix our heating problem. They had the part(s) mailed and received by them but they did not come service our house because they prioritized their regular clients and did routine maintenance on smart 72 clients over our broke heating system smack in the middle of winter! We thought it being locally situated (Rohnert Park) that our issue could be resolved conveniently and expediently was clearly false and of no consequence whatsoever. Good thing their technician had the heart to understand our predicament that he intervened with their scheduling staff that he would come earlier than their initial schedule. I commend technician Jesse for his compassion and understanding but smart 72 clearly lacked professionalism and good judgement, treating us AHS clients as second class customers because we are not directly their clients although when they signed their agreement with AHS to be their contractor, they (smart 72) was obligated by their contract to treat us as their clients as well!
