This business is a criminal enterprise , fraudulently alleging unnecessarily duct replacement and abandoning the job with contractual repairs never performed.

They then stole my money, by illegally accessing my Visa account. Smart 72 is currently being investigated by the California Contractor's State License Board and their surety carrier (CNA) has also made a payment on their performance bond. Lying each time they speak, and preying on the elderly are their business model .

Service was very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. They updated us regularly on our appointment and even found an earlier appointment time which was very appreciated.

They were the 3rd party contractors which Home Depot contracted out to replace water heater we selected and purchased at Home Depot. We used the Soquel Home Depot, and the online Home Depot. At the time, smart72 was only based out of San Luis Obispo, so it took several days for them to do the job. As their day started in SLO, they had to drive to Santa Cruz, and would stop working early, to allow them time to drive all the way back to SLO. I see online that they now have a Salinas location too.

We had our water heater replaced, everyone with the company was very professional and friendly, the permit process was explained, and everything went very smoothly from start to finish. Excellent company.
