    We hired Haddon to install central AC in our Glen Ellen home. They came and sized the system for the property. Installation went smoothly. Unfortunately the system they sized was not able to actually cool the upstairs of the house. They came back and said we would need a dual zone system to be able to actually cool the whole home with a very high cost because of the ducting work. Would have been nice if they told me this before we paid the $10k but ok, mistakes happen.

    When they installed the A/C unit the central heat stopped working. We figured this out later when the weather cooled and we needed to start using the heater. I scheduled an appointment for Haddon to come out to inspect. This is not our primary home so we needed to make arrangements (including taking the day off work) to be able to be home on a weekday since Haddon does not work on weekends. On the day of the appointment they called and said they could not come at the scheduled afternoon time but could come earlier. So to avoid having to reschedule we took our kids out of school for the day and head over early for the appointment. Time passes, no tech, call. I call to check on the appointment and they said tech was running late but would likely come at the original scheduled time. Ok all good. Time passes, no tech, no call. I call again and they said they would call me back to confirm. No call back. I call again near the end of the day and they said they’re not sure if what the situation is but they would check and call me back to confirm. No call back again. I left a message sharing my disappointment with the poor service and communication. No call back again.

    A really unfortunate situation end to end. Mistakes happen but at the minimum I expect a company to make it right. Or at the minimum give you a call back when they say they will. Very poor customer service. I hope they take this feedback and fix the issue.

    We had old HVAC system replaced and new A/C system installed by Haddon team. Had good experience starting for estimates, model selection, scheduling and installations. They performed the needed work with professionalism and with timely inspections. Initially had some back-and-forth on the model selection due to limited space needs, but once agreed upon, they worked towards that with no major outstanding issues. I would recommend their service to anyone who is looking for better service for complex or simple work and they do provide comparable price options.

    We chose to replace our existing HVAC with a new, Bosch heat pump dual fuel system. While Haddon finally got the system working correctly, there were issues throughout the process.

    First, the installers had problems. They needed to upgrade our 5 wire thermostat to a 7 wire and running the new wires caused them nothing but issues. And once they finally got the system installed, they had the wrong dual zone board and had to leave the system partially functioning until another tech could come and install the proper zone board.

    After that, we had lots of problems with the system. The gas furnace wouldn’t run for more than a few minutes without shutting down and the heat pump wouldn’t run until it was over 50 degrees outside. After 4 appointments where they changed the zone board configuration, put in a larger flue and tweaked many things, they finally discovered the gas furnace had been mounted out of level and that was causing the shutdowns. After they leveled it, the system finally worked as we expected.

    One final issue was around a Home Depot $1500 rebate our sales rep said we would receive after our installation. A few weeks after our installation we hadn’t received anything from HD. Upon calling HD rebate center, we learned that they had no knowledge of a rebate due to us. We tried to contact our sales rep via email, text message and phone message and never received a single response. We finally had to contact management at Haddon and, after a few delays, received our promised rebate from HD.

    All in all we had a fairly frustrating experience with all of the system issues and the time it took to troubleshoot and resolve everything. Our feeling was that Haddon didn’t have much experience installing and troubleshooting a non-standard system. Yes, the system did finally get fixed and configured correctly. But the process to get to that point was not smooth and required lots of work on our side to help diagnose the issues.

    I had a heating system that worked, but not efficiently and no air conditioning. Installed a new Reem HVAC system from Haddon that is 97+% efficient and quiet. Right after installation, we had a major heat wave and the system worked beautifully. I have asthma, and there is even an air filtration system built in. This was by far the best investment I've made in our home. In comparison to other companies, it HVAC was the best quality, the best price and the most professional sales and installation team possible. They were really exceptional. They adhered to the estimate (no surprises), the installation time and duration was exactly as quoted. I would recommend them to everyone and give them 10 stars if I could.

    The final product was fine. But they initially sent the B team for my initial install and it was not ideal. Once they sent a seasoned technician to finalize and fix any mistakes from the B team. Everything has been great.
