My air conditioner stopped working during the hottest day of the year so far. My call was answered right away on a Friday evening and was scheduled for the next morning. Luke called when he was on his way and found the issue quickly (the capacitor) and fixed it and was very thorough to ensure everything was operating well before he left. He was very professional and knowledgeable.

Bob's Air Repair was the first company to return my call for help when my AC went out on a 105-degree day. They scheduled me in for an early afternoon call, and though it was impossible for them to be exactly on time, they did their best and communicated very clearly about it.
Steven, the technician who came to save me, was wonderful. Polite, articulate, smart—he had the problem sussed out very quickly (that pesky capacitor), with not just one solution in his truck, but two; I chose the one that made the most sense to me.
He was also generous with my ever-curious son-in-law, who is very curious about how things work, allowing him to observe him at work and ask questions.

Bob’s Air Repair is nothing short of the best heating and air business in the Chico area and beyond, and I’ve dealt with a few of them.

Bob, the owner of the business, came out to my house in Corning to give me a quote on a new Heat Pump system, and did the estimate himself, which not all the companies I obtained quotes from did. He was on time, very professional, and obviously skilled and experienced, but the quality that stood out to me the most was his interest and passion in getting the job done right. Think “sweating the details.”

And he made it a point to tell me that, if at any time there were any questions or concerns about the job, I should call him directly, even after hours, so he could deal with it right away. And sure enough, I did have to call him about an issue of ensuring no mice would get into the duct system after installation, which was a concern since I live out in the country. Bob immediately had an idea for the fix, which was to custom fit an extra metal piece in the duct system to keep mice out. And it worked because the Heat Pump system works perfectly, and I still have no mice!

Bob doesn’t want anything going south on any job on his watch. He takes a personal interest in making sure the project is done the right way the first time and at a fair price, and that’s a huge comfort knowing that this is the guy working on the project for my home. And let’s face it — there aren’t many things more important in your home than heating and cooling and the amount of energy it takes to power it all. You can’t go wrong with Bob’s Air Repair!

This was Luke's, my technician's, second time at my house. He was first here during the Labor Day weekend heat spell last year (115 degrees) fixing my main A/C unit, and today to work on my condenser fan/motor. He brought some dog treats for my dog, and fixed my A/C issues both times with friendliness and professionalism. Both jobs were done very quickly, and I was back in my "comfort zone" in a timely manner.

They’ve maintained our antiquated AC and gas heat pump system for years. When we had to replace both, they were informative, helpful, and did not pressure us into an option.
