Kappl heating and air condition is hands down the very best HVAC pros out there. I was very impressed by how professional, kind and efficient they are. Tony L. Was right on time and even gave me a courtesy call exactly 30 minutes before arriving. He made me feel less worried about my thermostat not working and was able to fix it and the unit within minutes! He was so thoughtful and careful. He even brought his own shoe covers when coming into my home which I appreciated so much. He also offered services that might be best for my unit. They are even coming back to help me again this week!

Andrew was also so helpful over the phone even on weekends. They have services for emergency assistance and diagnostics as well. He helped me feel less worried about my unit problem. I was so thankful I called him.

I will only recommend Kappl for any HVAC needs. Their prices are unbeatable and their service impeccable! You won’t regret it!

Kevin Kappl was very helpful. Long before I ever signed a contract with his company, he came out to my place three times to answer questions and to help determine the optimal installation for my home. There was never any pressure. His installation crew—Nelson and Ivan—was first rate! When issues arose, they had solutions. They are highly skilled at their work, on time, and very neat. I couldn’t have had more capable people doing the installation.

If I could give zero stars I would and I said I used this business but in fact I only TRIED to use this business, as they were listed on LADWP's list of HVAC maintenance companies that could be called upon for the summer rebate to give a tuneup to the HVAC system, but after repeated attempts to have their service, they fell down every time like clockwork.

Yes, things couldn't be more "professional" on the phone; yes, they have availability; yes, they call the day before to confirm (and in the first round of this, they even called to bump me up a day...only to then cancel the following day, which would become the norm).

In the initial appointment, after moving me up, they then refused to honor my initial appointment ("it had been given away"). Ok, disappointed, I rescheduled weeks out, as it was still early summer. Then, I was again confirmed the day before when then morning of: tech was unavailable due to "an emergency." With some displeasure but still cordial resignation to sometimes "things happen," I rescheduled for another 2 weeks out. Then, day before, confirmed; and morning of: "Tech called out sick." Exasperated, at this point I explained that this was unprofessional and I knew it was a little job on behalf of LADWP but it was wrong to keep adjourning me and taking on other jobs in the meantime. "You're welcome to go with another company," I was told politely...but as I explained, they were in my neighborhood, well reviewed online, and I was in months at this point and just looking to get the job done. "We can schedule you for a little under two weeks out." I took the bait. Now, yesterday, appointment confirmed again. This morning, again, "The technician called in sick."

I'm not the sort of person who likes to go online and leave negative reviews. In fact, it takes A LOT to get me to this place. But this company either is going through an atypical massive problem with its technicians or, to my mind anyhow, simply isn't interested in small-time business, was happy for the promotion on LADWP's website though, and is happy to book you for tune-ups just in case work slows and it is the only place to grab a buck.

Now I'm also sure it's not atypical in the world of home repair contractors to be unavailable for work, but it has been quite awhile since I have had an experience this repeatedly bad. So my advice based on my experience: Caveat emptor! Kappl, thanks for nothing but a long waste of my time and failure to tuneup my system in the name of the energy savings rebate that led me to you in the first place. Never again!

Christian did an amazing job along with working with ADT tech. He explained all the things he was going do and need. Clean up and very professional. Josh helped with coordination and updating. Great service and informative team.

Christian was great! He was courteous and conscientious. Did a thorough inspection and offered a reasonable repair option. Christian made the repair quickly, and took pictures to show me the repair, which was great. He took extra time to look over our outside unit, and give advice on maintenance and potential future issues. I will definitely call on Kappl again!

We've been using Kappl for a few years and have been happy with their services. Recently our very old HVAC system died and I called Kappl. They gave me the best quote for one of the top of the line HVAC systems. The whole installation from quote to installation to inspections was seamless. I want to thank the entire team, starting with the installers, Ivan, Nelson & Mitch, the technician, Josh & Christensen, the office Andrew and Kevin. Josh was very responsive to my quest regarding services we needed. He also followed up on scheduling a technician to come out sooner when there was an opening and for the next maintenance service for our heater.

Tony came to the house on time. He gathered all the information to better serve and assess the heater effectively and efficiently. He was very knowledgeable and his communication style is easy to understand.
