LaVerne & Son Electrical A/C & Heating

We were pleased with our experience with Laverne and Son. So pleased, in fact - we chose them after seeing multiple vendors for quotes and consultations. Out of 5 different consults over 4 years - they were hands down the RIGHT fit for us.
We didn't feel pressured or sold to. We were quoted a fair price. While theirs was not the lowest bid, theirs was the most fair and just seemed honest.
We made a decision on a Monday, and installation started on a Wednesday. Three long days for the installers, as we had to essentially gut everything and start over.
When the job was finished, I almost felt guilty for the great price we paid.
I can only think of one negative, but it isn't really worthy of commenting here. Maybe just a personal preference.
I'd say for the size of the job and the experience we had, leaving with only one negative thing to say is hardly a deterrent.
We will do business with and refer this local, family-owned business forever now.

If you call them for a quote for a new Hvac system they will still charge you a service call fee. I got a super high quote on a replacement unit and when I said no thanks the guy started shaking and got upset. I went with another company for a lower price.

Laverne and son was very professional after having a bad experience with another company. They were able to fix the installation after the previous installer left us high and dry with a bad install job. They genuinely cared and felt bad that the other installer had basically taken our money and not delivered. They were able to schedule us immediately to make sure that we had heating in the house and safe. They have gained a customer for life. Great pricing and genuinely caring people. Plus my dog really loved them, lol

My experience was awesome!! I contacted Laverne and Sons to get a quote for a new Package unit since our 15 yr old unit needed a major repair done. Kyle arrived on time to give us an estimate and very professional. The price is reasonable and comes with good warranties. The unit they installed is quite and works great. Overall they have great service and I highly recommend them!

I was not asked to complete this review as I've experienced in the past with previous businesses I've dealt with, but rather felt other consumers might find it useful when searching for a reliable HVAC company.

I needed to replace two 28 year old split system units and over the course of one month I obtained 4 bids from well known HVAC companies in Bakersfield. LaVerne & Son was one those bids and it is very unique in that you're dealing with the owner of family owned business where it's obvious both business and family reputation are at stake.

The owner, Rex, prepared the bid for two Trane HVAC split systems and was very responsive to my change requests and made adjustments as necessary offering me more than one option. The installation went smoothly and was performed by his son, Jr., who made it clear that our satisfaction was their main objective. The equipment works just as promised and I'm extremely happy with the entire project.

Before and after the installation any calls I've made with questions are either immediately addressed or my call is promptly returned. You would not find this type of personal service with a larger company or a Costco special (which I NEVER considered). I highly recommend LaVerne & Son if you need HVAC services or installations. The company provides a quality product with personal & professional services.

LaVerne & Son was great. It was 100 degrees out and my thermostat stopped working. I call them and Emilly was soo professional and curious. She sent one of the technicians that was supposed to be off over to make needed repairs. Victor (technician)was the greatest, he made necessary repairs in a timely matter. Very professional. I will definitely use them, and I highly recommend them to everyone.

Very professional staff and high quality installers. The installer/technicians were on time, professional and paid close attention to the details of making my installation perfect. I was very pleased with their work and the Trane unit installed works great and is extremely quiet! I’m very happy with the product and work I received from LaVerene & Son AC.

Life savers!
Came over to my cabin house and my furnace wasn't working! It was Sunday and I was worried no one would be able to drive into the mountains to help. I searched them up and gave them call and offered to help me. They assured me I would be taken care of and made the journey from Bakersfield to PMC.
They were able to find the problem and fix it with no issue. Pricing is very reasonable considering the last minute call for help.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has property over in this direction, or for anyone who needs work done on AC/heaters.

Great experience with this company.

My heater went out last week. I Called on a Monday around mid-day and a technician was out within 2 hours.

My heater/AC system was installed in the early 90’s and was informed it was needing to be replaced. Wednesday morning their crew was on time at 8am and done by noon.

No complains with personnel. They were Quick, polite, and professional.

Excellent customer service! The office answered the phone right away and scheduled me a same day visit. Kyle arrived that afternoon and was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the issue to me and found a cost effective solution to get a bit more life out of my older AC unit. Very impressed and will go with them when it's time to replace the unit.
