B & J Refrigeration Inc. - Heating and Cooling

I had a 2 year old AC unit stop working. The condenser quit running. Kevin showed up right on time and after minimal troubleshooting, he found the problem. The housing had become a home for pack rats and they had chewed through 2 wires. One of the wires was inaccessible, so he bypassed the wires with new wiring and got the unit started. Kevin also showed me how to prevent any pack rats from making the unit a home. He was very knowledgable and pleasant to deal with. All in all a very good customer service experience for me.

Our home has a Filter-Vent Air Purifying Ventilator and for 6 years, since we moved into the home, it has worked very well. It blew up in August 2019. The company that made the product long ago shared with us that they no longer make the parts to fix it, so I contacted several Tucson HVAC companies to give me bids on replacement. Some were perplexed and never installed one before. Some provided bids which were a varying degree of prices, and one came out, said we would get a bid in 2 days and he never responded again. Based on reviews I saw online, I called B&J refrigeration to come take a look and see what they would bid. They sent Lawrence out to look at the unit. He took pictures etc and said he would get back to me. Within a short period of time, he called and asked if he could come out again and look at it again. This time he stated he may be able to find a fan motor to replace the bad one. He said if he couldn't, he would send a bid for replacement. He said he really wanted to find a solution. Well, today he installed a replacement fan motor that he researched and found for this unit. Not only did this save me money, redoing duct work and everything else, it gave me a peace of mind that there are businesses that are honest, have integrity and are true professionals. You have to seek them out. Lawrence went above and beyond in this case and I am so grateful! I would highly recommend this company and they have my business going forward. Thank you Lawrence!

Scheduled my annual routine maintenance check up for the 1st time since my A/C unit was installed last year. Randy came out, did his inspection and confirmed that everything was running properly and efficiently. As I watched him perform the inspection, he patiently answered all of my questions and showed me how to make the most out of the settings on my thermostat and Nexia phone app. We set up the agreement for me to receive maintenance check ups twice a year, I referred another potential customer to him and boom! we were done! A big shout out to B and J Refrigeration for continued high quality service after the sale!

Very knowledgeable and very helpful. Installed a completely different style of HVAC system then was previously installed on my house, had 3 hvac systems and yet figured out a way to condense down to a single unit for all my heating and cooling needs that will use way less energy and will take advantage of the solar power system I'm installing.
The crew that came out did an excellent job with install and did an amazing job at cleaning up after themselves

They came out within a few days to service and turn on my furnace. Pleasant and professional and cleaned their work area.

I reached the office in the morning after shutting off the gas to the furnace, after smelling a gas odor, the evening before. After explaining my home was without heat all night one B&J technician was dispatched to our home and arrived 15 minutes after I finished the call with them. After I explained the issue with the gas odor the technician did his diagnostic examination, found the bad part and contacted the local supply business for a replacement. My furnace was up and running before the day was done. My family couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism demonstrated by the office staff and technician on the job. B&J Refrigeration Inc installed a new compressor & coil last week. Lawrence did a great job walking us thru the procedure and the installers Martin & Armando did a great job. Martin even went above & beyond when he relit our water heater pilot and checked and connected some ductwork that came apart. A great experience all around. Thanks guys!! Would definitely recommend them for any heating and cooling work.
