When it is hot waiting 3 days before the air got fixed is too long but they only work Monday thru Friday. The air conditioner went out on Saturday and wasn't fixed until Tuesday.

Easiest Hvac company to deal with. Steven came on time as promised, diagnosed the issue and fixed it. I wish Homeowner Warranty will send them for all Hvac repairs I need.

Stephen accepted my home warranty assignment and diagnosed that I needed a new fan motor, but refused to put in a generic easily-available part. The impression I had from him at the time was that the home warranty company's policy to order OEM parts, which I later found out was not true (he insisted he told me it was his personal policy because he has high quality standards). I made very clear when he made the diagnosis that my priority was to get a working AC as soon as possible, since it was 95+ degrees in Phoenix at that point. I waited for the part to arrive, then Stephen was on vacation for the following week so was unable to install it. After that, he got into a dispute with the home warranty company over their standard rate they offered to install the part. That dragged out for another few weeks before I finally escalated the claim and got it reassigned to another contractor, who came out within a couple days, put in a generic replacement motor, and did a few additional electrical repairs get my system back up and running. Though Stephen was generally prompt with communicating, I felt he was handling things in a way that was not considerate of my needs, and not fully honest about the home warranty process. After getting the repair completed by the new contractor, I called back Stephen and he insisted that he had told me it was his personal quality standard policy that required him to refuse to install a generic part, but that was definitely not my impression - otherwise I would have requested a different contractor as I wanted to get my AC working ASAP.

*I have adjusted from 1 star to 3 after Stephen has called and emailed me multiple times to ask for me to change my review. I have made several small adjustments to the content of my review (mostly where I had made assumptions about Stephen's motivations in handling things the way he did), but I stand by the overall frustrating experience and sense of less-than-outstanding customer service I had working with Greenwood. I told Stephen he is welcome to comment on the review to add his perspective and I expect he will.

I'm just writing this review because I'm really happy with the work that Stephen and his company did. The old AC unit in my house was in bad shape and I had to make some tough, expensive decisions. Stephen spent a lot of time on the phone with me weighing the options. He never pressured me or seemed bothered by my many questions.

In the end, I have a new system in place and it's working well. The price was fair and the installation happened without any problems.

I'll recommend this company to anyone who asks.

The warranty company hired this company to repair our AC. The bearings in the motor were destroyed and the technician, Stephen, was notified. This company replaced the capacitor(a 10 minute easy fix) and told us the motor didn’t need to be replaced. He was dead wrong. He took our deductible money and refused to come finish the repair without putting in a new order and paying more deductible money. We hired a competent company instead, and got a new motor installed. Now it’s good as new. I do not recommend this company at all.

I work nights and came home to a non working AC, decided to wait till the morning and called several AC companies who were either placing me on "brief" holds or giving me appointments several days out even though my house was reaching the high 90s. I luckily found Greenwood Air and Stephen was able to get me up and running same day, even earlier then expected. Quick, professional and fair priced. No pushy agendas or shady warranty talks!
