Used Clark Cooling for about a year to maintain our HVAC system (we have 5x 5 ton units on our roof). During a recent storm, we sustained some water damage in the building that was, obviously, expensive and was caused by a clogged condensation line that was neglected during routine maintenance.

We would have likely been more than satisfied if they had offered to reimburse any part of our maintenance fees or if they had offered to pay for the damage caused to my building. However I was left with a basic apology and my own repair bills.

If you're going to use Clark, I encourage you to document your service well, and check up on work that they claim to have done... or just hire someone who does the job right the first time.

Gab and Hector from Clark Heating & Cooling came out to replace the motor, fan, and a number of other parts in our extremely noisy room air conditioner/heater unit. They were on time,, very diligent, caring, friendly, and hard-working. We noticed how skillfully they worked together as a team. They wouldn't leave until they checked everything was running pristinely on the unit in the room and the condenser unit outdoors. You will be in great hands if you call Clark Heating & Cooling for your AC/Heating needs... be it for repairs or a new units.

We have used Clark Heating & Cooling for several jobs over the years (both residential and commercial) and found Dave and his team to be reliable, punctual, and thorough. They will do a great job planning and executing as well as clearly communicating scope of work. 5 stars all around!

I was able to get an technician, Elijah, to come by the same day that I called. He arrived early (thank you!) allowing me to get my AC serviced and make it to work on time. During the appointment he was very professional and efficient. He explained what the issue was and made sure I didn’t have any questions. The company’s quick response and professionalism rectified a stressful situation; I would definitely recommend and utilize them again.

I had a service agreement with Clark to maintain my HVAC system for over a year. Recently, when I called them out to look at one of my HVAC units, the technician informed me that a separate unit (not the one I called about) had a freon leak. I appreciated that he had looked into the other units until he told me what he needed to do to make the unit right.

He said the unit had a leak and needed to be emptied of freon. He did confirm that the unit certainly still had enough freon (possibly as much as 8 out of 11 lbs) to cool my building without anyone noticing. He told me that in order to restore the unit to full functionality he would have to drain the remaining freon and refill it entirely with new freon. He said that he could not reuse the freon that came out of my unit (despite the fact that it was mostly full), and I would need to purchase 11 lbs more the completely refill from zero.

After 40 years of owning and running commercial buildings I have learned a few things. For one thing, I know that you can reuse freon, since they don't sell it anymore. You can reuse it and top the unit off to fill it up with reclaimed freon. I also followed up with a few other HVAC companies to confirm this. The tech from Clark cooling clearly thought he had a way to get an extra $1900 out of me for freon I didn't need.

This frustrating point made me reach out to another HVAC company who assessed the unit and could not even find a leak. The proper solution to this issue (as my new tech pointed out) is to put some leak sealant in the unit with a dying agent to locate and seal the leak - a service that only costs $250.

If your budget is important to you, make sure you get a second opinion when get really expensive advice on maintaining your unit. The Clark Cooling tech was clearly trying to sell us a bill of goods. Be careful.

They installed a mini split ac in my garage. They were very kind, professional, on time and cleaned everything up after installation. I would recommend Clark Heating & Cooling. I'm very satisfied with their work.

Wow! Great service and very friendly people!
I have high efficiency condenser units (20.5 SEER) and a person from another company left after 2 minutes saying that he was not qualified to fix these units. Ivan, from Clark Heating and Cooling, was able to fix both units (both had different issues) and the charge was affordable! They just got another loyal customer.
Thank you, Michelle, for setting up everything swiftly!
Thank you, Ivan, for not giving up and fixing my units!!!

We recently had our entire hvac system and ductwork renovated by Clark in our 1960’s Tempe home. The work they did from start to finish was excellent. From measuring and designing to installing the system everything went great and they were very responsive to our questions along the way. The new system has made a dramatic improvement in our comfort and it costs less to run than our old system. We would highly recommend them for anything from basic maintenance to full renovation like we did!

David, Gabe & Sam did a great job replacing the ductwork on my house. I appreciated the work they did, and also that they were professional, courteous, and efficient. They came when they said they would come, and they were done when they said they would be done. Thanks so much!
