Flow Star is the best!! Very responsive and professional. An earthquake broke my water heater and it was flooding my garage, I called Monday morning and someone came out that afternoon to replace the entire unit. The service is unbeatable, and the staff really hustle to get parts even when they're discontinued or unavailable without making you wait or having to come back numerous times. This is the second time they've come through the same day to resolve an issue. I won't use anyone else.

It was disturbing to discover a burst pipe and corroded/stuck water main valve in the crawlspace on Sunday afternoon. After controlling the leak somewhat, I researched local plumbers and called two: Flow Star and Blake's. Steve from Flow Star answered my call and told me to call back on Monday morning to schedule an appointment. I left a message with Blake's. When I called Steve back on Monday morning, he advised me to call AWWU to shut down the water and once that happened, he could send somebody out. I was shocked that AWWU was able to shut my water off within 30 minutes after I called them! I was even more shocked that Flow Star was able to fix the leaking pipe and replace the water main valve by 2pm that day! I've found my go-to plumber...I never heard from Blake's.

There are three individuals I want to honor in my little quest to fix my piping in my place. First some backstory: house built in the late 70s-early 80s had the original copper on a specific run for domestic potable water and heating lines as well, all the pipes were run very close together which resulted in electrolysis over time (I'm surprised this issue hadn't popped up prior to my ownership of the place) and this year they decided they'd had enough and started springing pinhole leaks.

Enter Flow Star. First, I called and made an appointment and got Jared (technician #1) out, he quickly found and temporarily stopped the biggest (and I thought only) leak with a hose clamp and recommended that I replace the entire run of copper with PEX piping. I agreed and asked for a bid.

Next came Steve in the office, he sent over a bid and I thought it was competitive (I work with lots of HVAC vendors so I know that this bid was decently good, it was about $50-$100 more than one vendor but about $50-$100 less than another, so right in line). I told Steve I would take him up on this bid once I got back from a trip I was going to take shortly. I got back and asked him to update the bid as it had been more than 30 days since I got the bid and prices probably changed, sure enough they did but it was only a $75 or so change, so it was fine.

About a week before my appointment time Steve made a very tough phone call to me, he called and asked if we could reschedule my appointment about 5 days further down the line as there was a family (dad, mom, three kids) that had no hot water and needed a new hot water heater badly. I wasn't thrilled to let my pipes leak longer but there was no way I was gonna say no to that. I agreed and was very impressed that Steve was willing to make such a tough call on a customer's behalf.

Finally, Shawn (sp?) came through and replaced the run of copper, he did a great job while working around my setup and our belongings, worked fast and efficiently and got it done faster than I expected him to. He even cleaned up the job site of debris and mess that he didn't cause (extra drywall I'd torn out to make it easier to get at the problem areas) without complaint.

In summary, Jared, Steve and Shawn (sorry if I spelled your name wrong bud) went above and beyond for my plumbing misadventures:

- First they accurately and quickly diagnosing my problems and applying the appropriate fix while recommending a good permanent one. I want to emphasize they did this quickly and did a thorough temporary fix that didn't go into overtime, thus saving money.
- Second, the bid I received was competitive, clearly spelled out with good detail and organization and they made it easy to pay it using a e-check on their website. The phone call to reschedule on behalf of a customer in an emergency situation (health and safety) was also a difficult one to make and Steve advocated for his customer and his family, which I greatly respect.
- Finally, they came out to replace the piping in question to remove almost any chance of it leaking again in my lifetime (PEX is awesome) and finished faster than they anticipated. The technician was competent, friendly, knowledgeable about the subject matter and experienced (the fittings and layout were done well in my opinion). Cleaning up the site and removing debris, even though he didn't make the mess, is truly above and beyond.

Flow Star Plumbing and Heating is a great HVAC company and I look forward to working with them again in the future, and I think anyone reading this who is looking for quality work at a competitive price should seriously consider them.

Just wanted to share my experience with Flow Star. Kudos to the crew for coming to our aid to fix our leaking pipes. Their knowledge from owner to tech is awesome and it showed in their work. Even after miscommunication Cordel reach out and explained everything in a very patience and professional manner, he stayed clam even when my husband and I were flustered and irrigated. He worked with us and I'm glad I listened and gave them a chance to fix the issue. After being burned by other "professional contractors" our apprehension dissipated when owner and techs explained and completed their work. We will defiantly use them again in future, if needed. Kurdell @ Flow Star provided stellar service. He was able to get us in quickly, complete the water removal and install a sump pump within 24 hours of reaching out to him. He communicated with me throughout the process. He even sent pictures and video of the repair since I was out of town. I called them two separate times for two separate jobs (one simple job and later one more invasive gas line job) and they got in within the day I called. Each job was finished same day.

EXCELLENT job execution and communication - I couldn’t even tell they were in the house because of how clean it was.

Great pricing as well. Payment process was done after the job was finished and it was incredibly easy to do via my phone or laptop.

I believe I spoke to the owner himself when scheduling and confirming payment - love that!

I highly recommend Flow Star plumbing. The owner came out to look at everything for us himself. He gave us a very reasonable quote for what we needed fixed and was able to make the repairs in the same visit. I got a quote from another company here in town for over double what Flow Star quoted me. He even checked a blockage I had in my laundry room drain for no additional cost. Mr. Robert’s and his team were very professional and thorough from start to finish. I will definitely be using them in the future.

I arrived home yesterday from the store to find my water heater literally busting at the seams (spraying straight out of a nail and over flowing). After being told by another company they wouldn't come out till the next day, I was assigned Flow Star by my home warranty company.
They were out here in less than an hour. And immediately told me I would need a new heater (which I had highly suspected). Tino explained to me what he thought the underlying cause of the issue was.
On the spot they asked me if I wanted it replaced that day, submitted a quote to my insurance company, and got a new one delivered.
Tino did a great job with installation and took the time to explain the pilot afterwards.
