We came back from a beach vacation and the inside temperature in my house was 88 degrees. Called Patco at 12:30 am and they responded quickly and it was on a holiday weekend! This is the third AC installed for me by Patco and it won't be the last for sure. Great service and trustworthy people!
I'm going to first start off by saying I've been a customer of Patco since 2015. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, with fast service. I've never hesitated on making them my first choice when needing service. However, today's experience was unexpectedly outside of the norm.
I have never had any technician repair an issue without first informing me of what the cause was, what next steps/parts were needed to remedy the situation, and what the cost would be. The technician today repaired the issue (replaced a part), which I was very grateful for, but did not tell me what it was until it was time for me to pay. I was basically told that he had fixed the issue and it would be costly, but if I did not want to pay he could remove the new part and put my old part back on.
I've never received this type of deceitful, unprofessional service before and will definitely not chance it with this company again.
Update to the response: the technician supposedly checked his pad AND called the office (while outside, once I told him when my unit was installed). He insisted the part was out of warranty and provided an explanation. I was disappointed by this info but don't mind paying any company for services rendered. The warranty was not my reason for the review. Again, I received no information from the technician until he had already replaced the part. I would never trust anyone from any company to undo a repair, and risk a possibly upset employee damaging my property. That's nonsense.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I was very impressed by Shelton. He did great work, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond and if he is any indication of what to expect from your company I will definitely call you next time something goes wrong. He is a great asset for this company. Give that man a bonus!
WOW! These guys are awesome and there's a reason they are the only A/C service company that I use. The owner himself Mr. Pat came out to troubleshoot my system and found the problem with my system pretty quickly. It ended up being a short in a wire that was difficult to spot if a person wasn't looking really hard and trying to proficiently troubleshoot the system. This man was proficient, friendly, professional, and just an all around great person to interact with. He was also very patient because I am an annoying person that likes to be involved when someone is working on something I own. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!
Our A/C decided to go out just the other night and with this Alabama summer we are having it for HOT really quick in our house! We tried to hold off on calling a technician so we wouldn’t be hit with after hour fees. We made it until around 4:00 am and at that point the tempature was 85 degrees in the house. My elderly mother and my children were feeling the effects of it so I contacted a couple of repair companies with no luck. I made a post on Facebook about our problem and within minutes a comment popped up from Mr. Patco himself Pat Copeland! He said” I’m getting dressed and I will be on my way!” Within minutes this wonderful man was pulling into my driveway! He got out of bed,got dressed,& was here literally within mins! He was so polite and treated us like we were family! I will NEVER do business with anyone else and I truly mean that! Patco has our business for life! I couldn’t thank them enough for what they did for us!
Patco is the best! Our ac went out during this terrible heat wave. I called Patco in the morning and they were at my house by early afternoon…and had the ac back up and running in no time. And the charge for the call was $0.00! We’ve used them for all our hvac needs for years and couldn’t be happier. They are reliable, prompt, courteous and reasonable. Thank you, Hank, for making my house cool again.
I have had nothing but issues with this company. Just paid them $900 to clean the ducts and “fix the problem” but today not even a month later the ac has completely stopped working, it’s 85 degrees outside and hotter in my house. They want $150 to come out and fix it or I have to wait until Monday (it’s Saturday rn). And I feel like with all of the issues we’ve had and how many times we’ve had to call them out they should be fixing it asap for free because everytime they come out they don’t fix the issues. Don’t waste your time or money on this company.
Pat and his team are by far the best AC service in Mobile! Price, service, professionalism, integrity... they place a high priority on all of it. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
This is actually my 2nd home where I have had a new unit installed by Patco. I can’t even put into words how incredible this entire operation is. After the unit in my previous home was installed, my power bill dropped dramatically. I expect I will see the same results with the unit that was just installed today. When I placed my first call for this residence, Patco had a technician call me within 10 minutes. He was able to come out that same day and this was on a Saturday! The gentlemen who came to install were on time and very professional. I had plants near the outside unit. One of the technicians actually came and asked me if he could move them and replant them in another location! I was so impressed that he took the time to do this. That is just one example of the type of people working at Patco. I have to also mention Ms. Jennifer in the office....hands down the best customer relations person you will ever deal with! I absolutely recommend Patco!
