Shawn cleaned, serviced and got my 20 year old, never been cleaned gas fireplace up and running quickly! When I called him with a follow up concern he quickly returned to take a look and fixed the issue. Super nice and friendly guys, highly recommended!

I use a combination of Google and Yelp for project research. I needed someone to service a gas fireplace that was having pilot light issues - so my search began. Green Bear was highly rated and fit me into my schedule, which was nice. Got Scott as my tech and was really happy about that. He was straight with me about the internal workings of my fireplace - which was installed in the early 90's - explaining what the likely issue was. Also warned me about it being a significant cost to replace the pilot light assembly + the thermocouple - with the upside being 10 - 15 years of likely trouble free operation with continued yearly maintenance since this is the main source of heat in our condo. He showed me the before and after pilot light to coupler readings of the fireplace operation to validate his assessment for the final fix - much appreciated knowing he wasn't feeding me a line of BS. I can say I trust the work done, the advice given, and feel like I was treated fairly. My mom needs a service of her gas fireplace and I'm going to get Green Bear (Scott) to do it. Fantastic service! Another local, popular, company diagnosed for $140 then quoted us an additional $2000 for parts, repairs, and labor on my gas fireplace. Something didn't sound right so we called Green Bear. Sean was extremely helpful in getting us an appointment soon. Turned out we were being scammed by the other company. No repairs needed, only maintenance and cleaning! Saved us $1000+

Scott came out to talk through our fireplace concerns. He answered all our questions and was very patience and helpful. He even identified and sealed the area around a pipe for us to stop cold air coming in. We’ll definitely be calling Green Bear back for any future needs.

Scott came out to kind of a mess of a situation and didn't flinch. He was super friendly and explained everything in a way that was easy enough for someone who knows nothing about this stuff (me) to understand, along with presenting multiple options for solutions moving forward. Finally someone competent enough to fix our gas fireplace. After several attempts with our usual HVAC company, I gave up and looked elsewhere. We were told a replacement of the unit, which would also entail redoing the surround in order to remove the unit was the only option. Green Bear was so efficient at repairing our fireplace it not only works, but looks brand new. I think he could fix a fireplace with his eyes closed. Plus he's very patient and answered all my questions while he worked.

Scott and Shawn are excellent. They showed up on time and on budget. They did a terrific job replacing my furnace. I would highly recommend Green Bear to anyone.

I hired Shawn of Green Bear Heating and Air to install a new fireplace insert. I was really impressed with Shawn personally as well as the quality of his work. He installed an Enviro fireplace insert for me late 2019. He actually had intended to put in a different brand, but it turned out that brand wasn’t going to fit in my fireplace. Since I had already paid, he installed the Enviro and paid for the extra cost himself. Unfortunately, after working for a few months the pilot light went out, it turned out to be defective. When he couldn’t get another pilot light he replaced the Enviro with a Heat & Glo. He didn’t charge me, he basically ate the cost of the Heat & Glo as well as his installation work. Shawn said it was important to him that I was happy, and he really went to extra lengths to do that. I really appreciated his integrity, honesty, and ethics as well as his technical expertise with installation. So I highly recommend him!

Shawn and his team are very professional and proficient! They take the time to explain any questions that you may have relating to your furnace. A good Company to do business with.
