We've had Midlothian Mechanical service our HVAC systems for 13 years now, and we've been very satisfied with their service. Just yesterday, our heat went out; Patrick came very promptly and fixed the problem quickly.

We have been using Midlothian Mechanical for several years to service our AC/Heating systems. They service those units well. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Patrick Anderson did a thorough job on the last semi-annual maintenance call.

Jeremiah and John did a great job of installing a new Heat Pump system. They were very efficient, informative and professional. They were also personable and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves, even cleaning the floors upon completion where they had to come in and out several times. I have used Midlo Mech for several years and think they have great service, especially their maintenance contract!

Midlothian Mechanical did an excellent job maintaining the HVAC system at my house in Midlothian for over 12 years. They were professional, courteous, honest and competent. I would recommend their services without hesitation. Unfortunately, I had to relocate to find work, and no longer live in Midlothian.

These guys keep coming through. Years ago, we had an upgrade heat pump put in. After work, I came home to the new unit, that was supposed to be installed that day, pulled apart about 10’ long on the grass with several technicians around it, and the team leader having a slightly heated conversation on the phone with the manufacturer’s rep. The manufacturer’s new unit failed to hold refrigerant due to faulty coils, and it seemed MM was being encouraged to do a ‘field repair’. To sum it up, the MM worker firmly required a replacement unit the next day and recommended the manufacturer do what he wished with this unit. The new unit was put in service the next day after all the necessary rework, and has worked great for years so far. This quality ethic was the best recommendation I could have had, so we’ve continued with MM.
More recently, I was interested in a better filtering system (dust and dogs). MM recommended April-Aire, which the research showed to be excellent. I had them install a system, which required some special work for a convenient service installation in a tight area, as well as a standard installation on the main. The air quality improved to a quality higher than we have ever had within 24 hours. These filters are changed once a year, which is very convenient, and one of them could even go longer, but I don’t push it.
Most recently I called about the possibility of air purification considering the current outbreaks. MM had a recommendation and sent information I needed for review concerning an ‘air scrubber’ system. Being generally familiar with the chemistry and physics of the system, I ordered a unit. I expected it would naturally kill mold, bacteria, viruses and other biohazards as listed, even eliminating odors naturally due to the disinfection properties. I guessed it would take a couple days to a week to eliminate the perpetual dog odors in the den. The unit was installed in the morning, and I came home about six hours later to an odor-free den. The air handler had run 50% of the time since it was installed. The air throughout the house was odorless and fresh. Our den smells better than it did before we had pets. More importantly, I know this disinfecting property is being distributed throughout the vent system and over all surfaces in the entire house. I easily recommend MM. Jim S.

Their workmen will repeatedly litter on your property and have no regard for cleanliness. Thus far I have watched them litter an invoice, a Wawa coffee cup used for tobacco spit, the lid from said cup, boot covers, packaging foam, and a few other sundry items. I'm tired of picking up their trash.

We brought 2 HVAC units from this company and one of the units is an absolute lemon. In less than a year, this company has been out to our home to complete repairs greater than 6 times (on a brand new system). We have asked the company to replace this malfunctioning unit in which we paid thousands of dollars for and continue to get the run around. There is no regard to the inconvenience we have to indur (time and energy). Overall, this company is exhibiting poor customer service with the inability to ensure customer satisfaction. I suggest you think twice before deciding to purchase a new HVAC system from this company. Who has time to waste when you have shelled out money for a brand new system? Will update this post as to the final outcomes in the near future. ** Looks as if we are about to make our 7th call**

I manage a retail store and Midlothian Mechanical left us waiting in the heat for over 6 weeks during the Summer and NEVER fixed the problem.

Midlothian Mechanical originally came out quickly to diagnose the problem, and determined it was some faulty wiring. They repaired the wiring, but the issue returned about a week later. On the second trip, they figured out that the motor in our ceiling fan unit had burned out, but they were unsure how to get to the unit to repair it.

After about a week with no contact from them, I called my contact, Trey (Commercial Service Manager). I was told that they had to order the part from somewhere in Europe and it would take about 4 weeks. They also said that they would have to cut a hole in the ceiling to make the repair. The repair estimate was about $3000. Since they had a good reputation, I told them to go ahead with the repair.

After 4 weeks, I called them and Trey said that the part should be on its way. That was the last that I ever heard from Trey. After another two weeks of me calling with no response, I went with another company.

The new company got the part within about 5-7 days and repaired the unit without ripping a huge hole in my ceiling. (They had the intelligence to check with mall maintenance about the ceilings weight capacity.) The total repair was about $600 (That's $2400 less than Midlothian Mechanical).

So Midlothian Mechanical may be fine for home service, but business owners should look elsewhere.

I have been using Midlothian Mechanical for my home HVAC for several years - not sure - at least seven or eight - maybe more. I use them for regular maintenance, and repairs as needed. They have always been timely. In addition, they replaced both my heating/cooling units and installed a tankless water heater. They also provided HVAC and venting support during a major kitchen renovation. I have found the personnel they send to my house to be courteous and professional. I plan to continue to use their services and would recommend them to other homeowners.

The tech came and did some service, charged over $300 and left. He said our humidifier was working correctly. The next morning we found it on the floor. It had fallen from our heater and broken.
