Zach is an absolutely incredible technician. Very professional. Nice to work with. The company was the least expensive for a diagnostic cost and they also were the first ones to respond by phone and the ones who could come out the quickest. (I called several companies trying to get service in the area). Zach showed up early. Called before he came. Was incredibly polite and fixed the problem quickly. I plan on using this company for years to come. Thank you so much!

Amazingly great experience!! Let's break it down. Sales--while several other companies felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman, Dean was honest, patient, and a pleasure to deal with as we revised the scope of the job several times. In fact, When faced with similar estimates, it was Dean's responsiveness and knowledge that tipped the scales towards Smileys. Quality—Trane, what more is there to say. Timeliness—The install guys (Campton, Matt, Josh, Nick) arrived when they committed to and worked their tails off in the heatwave. Supervision—Nick arrived on on day 1 & Dean on day 2 to make sure everything was done right. Curveballs—being that we have a 100 year old house, there were several unexpected challenges (uneven floor, old wiring, etc.) and these guys rolled with it without extra charge even thought it required them to come out for two days. Attention to detail—the installers made sure all the small details were attended to such as foam fill for small holes in ceiling to make sure heat from attic didn’t come into our living space. Pricing—at the lower end of estimates but not the cheapest, I guess you get what you pay for. Financing—0% for 72 months is unbeatable. Office—Michelle was a delight to speak with. OVERALL—I can recommend Smileys as the goto for HVAC. So nice to have an honest and hard working company that does what it says it will do, when they say they will do it, for what they quoted, with attention to detail and customer satisfaction!!

Never again. It felt like pulling teeth from the technician to understand what was wrong and I'm not sure if anything is wrong with my heating system.
No report, no suggestions/explanation to address the reasons I booked the appointment.

Serious shout out to Josh! He was amazingly fast, knowledgeable, friendly and did not leave until he found the issue and solved it. My other A/C company who has-to-date gained over $11,000 from my business through the past 5 years did not care to help, from rude customer service to just not bothering to help. Meanwhile Smileys went out their way to find a slot for me and did I mention how reasonable they are?! Do not hesitate to use them. I definitely will going forward.

Affordable, dependable and customer oriented company!

Tyler and Nick arrived early and worked all day removing the old system and installing the new AC system. They did a wonderful job, checked every aspect of the work carefully, and did a thorough clean-up of all the old parts, cartons, etc. By evening we had a cool house. We couldn't be more pleased with the service.

Without heat just before a winter storm, I used Smiley's website to put in a request for service. Because it was after midnight I thought I'd have to call their business office in the morning anyway. While the email contact helped me feel better about getting a jump start on getting an appointment I'd dealt with other places that never read them. But I did get a response from Smiley's first thing the next day. I was told that a tech would be there that day. Sure enough, Josh came to my house, found the problem, found the part, got the part and installed it even though it was well past quiting time. It was Friday evening and he didn't want me to be without heat over the weekend. Now I'm toasty warm thanks to the awesome team at Smiley's!

Very professional service technician for the semi-annual maintenance inspection for the new HVAC I purchased last year.

EDIT: This review is for the PORTSMOUTH, VA location. We have used Smiley's for years and have been so happy with their work, we keep coming back. We've had them perform HVAC installation, annual maintenance, crawl space encapsulation and dehumidifier installation. Kurdis has been our go to person and he's been a blessing. Answered our many questions, showed us detailed pictures of issues in the crawl space and was always there if we had any issues. They are HIGHLY recommended and their offering of easy financing or cash discount with purchase was convenient. Their pricing was comparable and in several instances cheaper with our initial HVAC estimates from several businesses but the customer service alone has been worth it! Also, we love supporting local business vs big box stores so that's another plus! Always give Smiley's a chance to give you an estimate so you can compare. We're so glad we chose them and everyone, from office staff to installers to maintenance crew have been professional, courteous and extremely helpful!!

Service manager had my unit set up to install next day so we did not have to suffer the hot weather long. Techs arrived at 9 am and were done by noon. They were very perfoessional. They cleaned up everything behind them and did and outstanding job on the installation. I was very impressed and would highly recommend Smiley's for your heating and cooling needs. Kenny B.
