A big shout out to the wonderful business and greet people at TJ Fannon and Sons. I know this is a very busy week, with the coldest of temperatures, and they are getting many emergency calls. I called last evening and left a message (non-emergency) for them to come out and get our furnace running this morning (we had enough heaters to keep ourselves comfortable through the night ). Not too long after their office opened, I received a call from them. Their technicians showed up an hour later, changed the clogged valve nozzle, put on a new filter, and gave everything a once over. After making sure things were firing properly, were out the door in about 30 minutes. Many in the community depend on them for heat and comfort throughout the year. They are truly unsung heroes. I sincerely appreciate your constant and dependable reliability.

Fannon's sons are great guys who know everything about the heating and air conditioning industry especially for residential use. They sold us our heat pump! But you have to make sure you talk to the right people.

The fan in my furnace stopped working. I called over someone that had done work before and they said it was the furnace computer (a $500 repair) and it'd really be better if I just replaced the whole system since I likely had $5000 sitting around. So I call these guys out and with competence and no desire to upsell shows me where the issue is (the fan as I had assumed) and quickly replaced it for $300. Between making the call and having a warm house was less than 3 hours.

Top notch company, fast and friendly service calls. During a bad snowstorm a few years ago our furnace quit working. I called Fannon and explained the situation. The service tech came out *in the middle of the storm* to fix the furnace. The storm had knocked out our electric power and evidently the generator I was using had enough voltage variation that it fried the furnace & thermostat circuitry. The tech worked on it for *six hours*, basically rewiring the entire thing. Since I had a service plan, the only charge was for the cost of a non- standard replacement part. I give Fannon an A+!

We have had our a/c and heating systems serviced by T.J. Fannon & Sons for over 26 years now in our three different primary residences in Fairfax County. Everyone who has ever provided service to any of our homes has been nothing but friendly, courteous and very professional (to include the people in the office). Fannon follows the job through to completion each and every time. Whenever anyone asks who we go to for a/c and heating problems, we always highly recommend Fannon!

The rental unit I’m in has had so many random AC/Heat issues this year that I’ve now met 4 different technicians. They are all professional, personable, and always resolve the issue. Each service has been a pleasant experience.

The prior owners of a home I recently purchased had T.J. Fannon install a new heating and air conditioning system in the attic a while ago in a home that is now 60 years old. The duct work was poorly done according to my new heating and air conditioning maintainer. The connections between air handler and the sheet metal duct work were not sealed with duct tape, only the insulation was taped, allowing the escape of cooled and heated air into the unconditioned attic. A number of the straight runs of flexible duct were much too long adding curves in the run which reduce the efficiency of the air flow. A number of runs for flexible supply ducts have tight 135 degree or tighter turns that reduce air flow. One of the major supply ducts supplies only 2/3 of the air flow necessary to supply ducts for two levels of the house. Fiddling with the dampers does not allow adequate regulation of temperature throughout the house. In the attic one insulated 9 inch flexible duct (actually 13 inches diameter with two inches of insulation on each side) was crammed in the 7 inch space under the flooring, reducing air flow and increasing humidity issues in a slightly below grade basement. In a basement flexible duct the company used to much duct and crammed the duct into a tight turn which substantially reduce airflow to the two registers in a portion of the basement. It has been tedious and time consuming to locate all of the problems. My current heating and air conditioning contractor has recommended that I spend over $17,000 to junk all attic duct work and start over because of poor installation. Whew!

My uncle is 81 & in frail health. He lives in an old house with a lot of issues. His heat went out and Fannon - - the company has been keeping the heat system going for many years - - couldn't get the system running the same day, so, in order to protect my uncle, the folks at the company collected their personal portable heaters and placed them around his living space. You can't beat that for customer service!

Tom Fannon knew that I had other contractors waiting on his work, and he didn't show up. No call, and no warning... just a total no-show. If that's not the definition of unacceptable I don't know what is.

I found this company via Nextdoor reviews and I am so happy that we did. They are professional, always on time, and know what needs to be fixed right away. I highly recommend them and will use them from now on.
