Five star rating for Ike's Air Conditioning. The professionalism and responsiveness shown by the staff (Priscilla, Richard, Brandon, Nathan, and Scott) is first class. I have been using the services of Ike's Air Conditioning for over 20 years and they have never dissapointed me. I highly recommmend Ike's AC for any AC/Heating repairs.
IKE'S Air Conditioning has always been there for me. Whenever I have had an AC problem they have always came out promptly. A couple of weeks ago my 16 year old AC system went out and I decided to replace it vs repair it. I was really impressed how fast they came out and installed the new system. It’s a combination of a good price and great customer service that will keep me as a customer for life!
It is a shame that I have to give this company at least a 1 Star. On the fist day of this 2 day job, I was charged $750 just for the labor to replace the coil. This was the second evaporator coil replacement since they installed a completely new unit in 2013. On the second day I was charged almost $3000 to install new refrigerant lines because they claimed that the original lines had a leak somewhere in the walls of my home. Just recently they charged me $350 to blow the mold out of the condensate line and that job took approximately 25 minutes. After I complained by email, the owner emailed back and said he had torn up the $350 check. Grease spots have happened on my carpet because they did not lay down a tarp. My furnace closet door frame was busted and not replaced when it had to be removed to install the 2nd coil. Sharp shards of sheet metal were left in my back yard when they did the refrigerant line replacement. Lastly, no matter how hard I try, I just cant seem to get an itemized invoice from them for any of the jobs completed. I want to know what the parts cost and the labor as a separate line item. Please do research before choosing this company. Check Yelp, Google Maps, and the San Antonio Better Business Bureau.
Excellent work by John installing a new compressor on an existing Mitsubishi ducted mini-split system. Very knowledgeable, thorough, and the company is quite responsive. They were even able to get a Mitsubishi wireless controller properly programmed that another company didn't do. I highly recommend these folks! If you are getting a quote on a Mitsubishi (or other) mini-split somewhere else, you would be wise to check with this company too. They know their stuff with Mitsubishi.
We had our upstairs AC unit blowing hot air. Over 95 degrees upstairs and making our downstairs unit work hard making it 80 downstairs. During this time of COVID19 everyone is home. IKE’S was super quick with getting someone (Richard) out. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it, ensured both units are 100% operational and was very friendly the whole time. Richard explained everything to us in details and terms we would understand. Richard is amazing and though we hope not to see him until our fall check up he and IKE’S are welcome any time!

Each spring I have my 2 AC units serviced and inspected in preparation for the hot San Antonio summer. Last spring I heard a noise coming from the smaller unit and had to use a AC company dictated by the home warranty company. Since then I got rid of the home warranty company and went back to the the AC company that has always done a terrific job for my home, Ikes Air Conditioning!!! They were professional, polite, informative and conscientious. I had noticed that the smaller unit was struggling to keep up. The service team at Ikes found the issue (it was what the AC company last Spring had supposedly "fixed". Ike's were thorough and took time to explain things. They cleaned up and took care of everything. Great Job!!!
The technician arrived on-schedule, was very thorough and methodical in his investigation of our A/C problems. The repairs were accomplished quickly and the charges were reasonable for what he did. We are glad we contacted this company. I am certain we will call Ike's for future repairs or equipment replacement.
I just wanted to give a review that is overdue... two years ago, Ike's Air helped me when my air conditioner kicked the bucket (a short life span of 5 years) and replaced it with its upgraded warrantied model.
Yesterday, the compressor was diagnosed and fixed, all within hours of finding the problem. Like all emergencies, it was over the weekend and never convenient. My daughter had to go to Camp Grandma, while my husband and I had to endure a house with 90+ degree temperatures. Thanks to Jeannette Morales , Gerald, and others (I apologize--I think it was Henry and Victor) for the fabulous response time and work to make our home habitable again during a typical Texas summer.
When Ike's was owned by Ike, they did a great job for me. Then something went wrong with this company. They over charged me for an A/C tune up. I watched the tech from the bedroom window and he did nothing to the unit. He said he cleaned out the unit of leaves, but he did not. He then said he added a pound of refrigerate. He never even touched the unit. He also said to add Drano to the drain line instead of vinegar. Drano does not work because it just sits in the pipe. Vinegar has worked for me since 2005. I will NEVER use this provider again!
