JAKS was outstanding. They were professional and on time. My Motor upstairs died and my org outside unit was 40 years old. While I waited for the new system to arrive they provided me 2 window units for my upstairs because it was going to be 10 days before they could do the install. When they arrived at my place for the install The JAKS team was polite laid down covers to keep from damaging my flooring and stair case. Whole install took around 2 hrs. They went over the new thermostat and I was extremely happy with them throughout the whole process.
I thought I had an heating issue. I called and was given an appointment later the same day. I was informed of the time the technician (Kyle) would arrive and then he called me as well. Kyle checked the system thoroughly and kept me informed of the progress. After a couple of hours he determined that the electrical panel I had had replaced did not have an adequate breaker installed (the other folks missed it when they installed the power panel). Rather than charge me for a larger breaker and moving on, The owner (David) suggested I call the folks who changed the panel out and see if they would repair it. He told me that if someone had made an error on his team he would want the chance to make it right. That is the kind of company that I want to do business with. I have found my new HVAC/Electrical company in JAK Services. I got an email today letting me know that they do appliance repair now also. If I have any issues they are who I will call. Thanks JAK!
JAK Services, specifically ALLEN, came to our home today 5/15/2019 to inspect our A/C units. Allen did a wonderful job of representing himself and JAK Services. He called me ahead of time to tell me he was on his way, his office called me as well, he was courteous, conversational, candid and very professional! Allen is a great Ambassador of his company. 5 stars indeed, and I’m a tough critic!
No doubt, I would recommend Allen and JAK Services to friends and family!
Owner said my wife should have received a price quote before they proceeded with the work. The tech didn’t and my wife paid over $560 for a simple capacitor and contactor swap. I even told the lady on the phone when I scheduled this morning that is what needed to be replaced based on what the compressor was doing (or not doing).
Owner only told me he was sad to lose a customer but that it’s very expensive to run a business and he’s going to charge what he’s going to charge. I guess less than $50 in parts and an hour of time is worth over $560. Beware of very high pricing from this company. Much better value alternatives out there.
Note: In response to the owner's response below, my wife signed the quote as she paid at the end when the work was already completed. She had no other choice at that point. Had we been informed of the price beforehand, we would have declined the repair and paid the $79 service call fee and gotten a more reasonably price repair with another reputable company.
Update- 2. In response to Piper below, that’s not an apology. You were not simply explaining anything. You were rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for. I filed a complaint with Home Depot and they said it’s not the first time you’ve been complained about.
1. Sadly, Piper is very unprofessional and condescending. I simply called because our dryer started making the same noise it was repaired for days after it was fixed. I forgot to call and we are now 15 or so days out of their 30 day warranty. I get it. I should have called when I noticed it. I don’t appreciate being spoken to like I’m ignorant or a child in slow, drawn out tones and words. It’s incredibly unprofessional and sad that the unskilled hourly person that answers the phone can ruin the reputation of a company and what the owners have worked so hard to build.
Very impressed! We had warranty work done on our dryer and had two other companies flake out on us. JAK's was awesome! Not only did they quickly work us into the schedule, they were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, & considerate. We will defiantly use them again for other services and repair needs!!
Thanks to JAK Services for the GREAT service we received this weekend at our home--I called at 4 PM on Saturday when I discovered that our AC wasn't cooling the house. Within the hour, David Horton was at our house! He inspected and diagnosed our problem very quickly and even came back on Sunday to complete the repair. I highly recommend this locally-owned business to anyone in Keller or the surrounding communities.
David with JAK HVAC replaced my air conditioner last summer which was my first encounter with his company. Being an insurance agent, my clients frequently ask me about services such as what JAK offers. They did an excellent job and offered me options before replacing my system. I have since referred them to many of my clients and all have been very satisfied with not only the service but the very reasonable pricing they offer. In addition, he is incredibly honest and knowledgeable and not unlike them to find less expensive solutions to customers outside of simply replacing a system if applicable. Great company!
Very impressed with the professionalism and punctuality. I needed 5 pounds of Freon added and not once did I feel I was being screwed around. AC already feels like it’s running better within 10 minutes of them leaving. Randy was the tech and did a great job. Very nice guy. Would highly recommend this company and will be using them when it cools down to update my ductwork in the attic. Great job JAK!
