Found out yesterday that One Hour Heating & Air changed ownership. Called to schedule semi-annual maintenance/tune-up where I was told about the name change and was informed they would still honor all annual maintenance contracts - scheduled for noon appointment. Later in the evening AC started putting out an odd chemical/electrical smell, and after a couple hours stopped pushing air altogether. It was strange it crapped out the same day I scheduled maintenance, but what can you do? We were out of power all day Sunday following an intense storm which knocked power out to not only my town, but most surrounding cities. Tuesday evening rolls around and it looks like we'll be spending another day without AC. Apparently it's common for abrupt power outages to cause central HVAC units problems. I called Lifetime'z up and was told they could be out at 8 am. Now it looks like we'll be without AC today, Wednesday, as well. Turns out we're dealing with a pretty severe electrical blowout. Was ecstatic to hear Lifetime'z honors all One Hour warranties and contracts. Can't complain, they made it out fast and didn't make any attempts to wiggle out of warranty obligations (an issue I'd had once before with One Hour, though One Hour did eventually see reason when pushed). Hopefully we get this sorted out soon, but at this point I'm more than pleased with my experience. Will update later with any news. Tentative 5/5, anyway.
