After calling, I was immediately scheduled for a day/time that worked best for my schedule. They have a text system that let's you know when they will show up that I found very helpful. The techs were able to quickly diagnose the issue. I have an older system and some parts are pretty much obsolete. I've worked in replacement parts ordering warehouses before and know very well how some parts can stop being manufactured after just a few years. These guys worked tirelessly to get parts for me and get them installed ASAP. I know the work that went into that and know they went above and beyond! They were professional, friendly, and I highly recommend them!
Was assigned this company from a home warranty company. Saw the reviews but figured they couldn't be possibly that bad, probably issues outside of their control being a company who deals with warranty companies. I was wrong, I can't even begin to share what a nightmare dealing with this company was. Tech who came out was fine, despite waiting over a week for a diagnosis. The communication with this company is basically non-existent. You call and they send you a generic text asking how they can help, which they don't answer either. Despite numerous messages/phone calls trying to get an update, that they had ordered the part, making sure things were on track, they still managed to completely drop the ball. I went over 6 weeks (through July/August in a record heat year) for a the part the warranty company was supposed to send them, that I was told was on the way. On our appointment day, tech was supposed to come out at noon. 7 o'clock, I'm still waiting. Finally, after pleading with them for some type of update, I was told the fan motor was "stolen" out of his truck and they didn't have it. I'm almost certain they never even ordered the part and they just blatantly lied to me. I called Batjer, who came out same day and had a whole new unit in my house within 3 business days. Trust the reviews.
Took my Freon to change my compressor, charged me 850 for new Freon plus parts and labor. 3 months later had to have another company come install a new compressor. Took 3 months after 1st call. Worst business ever
They came out once and said the issue was the filter, which to be fair it might have as we did not realize what we thought was the return was actually not and we had been replacing the filter in the hallway. Come to find out the return is actually under the inside unit. The forced air started working again. 3 days later the outside unit & fan began to make loud screeching noises. I informed them & they asked me to put a recall on my order. A few days later the fan stop spinning all together again. They scheduled us a week out which would’ve landed on this past Monday. I call the receptionist back and ask if there’s any way we can expedite it due to this being an issue bc they didn’t fix it properly the first time. She began to be rude and condescending. The ruder she got, I gave it right back to her. She later send a text to let me know they rescheduled me for Wednesday (I think this was bc I got rude back with her.) They came out yesterday (Wednesday) and said the fan cap was the issue. We had finally forced air again. I did not notice the fan was still making that loud sound until after he left. I immediately notified her. Later on we noticed the fan cap wasn’t changed out as it was still the old one. I had to miss work twice to take care of this, no all she can tell me is put in another order or call the warranty company to have it transferred to another vendor. I asked for escalated contact information and she has refused to give it to me. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM! At this point I have no clue what they actually did bc as of this morning (less than 24hrs later) the fan isn’t working AGAIN. Poor quality. Terrible customer service & bad business.
Do not use this company. 247 American AC/Heating was hired through my home warranty and they received a deposit. They scheduled 1st on a Friday, then re-scheluded to Wednesday at 5:30 to 7:30 (through text, they won't answer the phone). My work is 30 minutes from my house. The technician text at 2:22. I told him he would need to be there at his scheduled time. He drove out anyway and text me back at 2:53 that he didn't have good phone service and didn't get my message. I live there, we have fine service. I called (again they wouldn't answer) then text to make sure he would be coming back at the scheduled time. I finally got a text back saying he was out of the area and they would have to re-schedule. Of course they told the home warranty company they showed up as requested so they could get their service fee.
Our home warranty company assigned us this provider. I don't like that you can NEVER get anyone on the phone, they don't return calls (only use text and don't always answer texts). They left my gate open and let my dogs out and didn't call back with an update when they said they would. Definitely do not recommend.
DO NOT USE THEM!! This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. The technician broke my A/C unit and didn't bother coming back out to fix it. The manager, Linda, couldn't care less about our issue and provided the worst customer service. She also sends you text messages instead of answering what seems to be her cell phone. When I had another company come out and fix my unit, they found that 247 America Air Conditioning left wires dangling and didn't bother to put them back. This company is also NOT ACCREDITED by the Better Business Bureau! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
The technician that was sent to my home to fix my Ac issue caused secondary damage to my home. The only reason I even used them was due to my home warranty company's decision now my own...
My laundry room essentially flooded due to the poor job of 'fixing' the indoor portion of my AC unit. The owner refused to dispatch their 24/7 emergency services to my home until almost a full day after the fact even though via text he advised me my ac unit could fall out of the utility closet due to excessive water damage to the supporting beams that HIS technician caused.
Fast forward...
The owner and receptionist refused to acknowledge the secondary damage to my home. I had another company come out to access the damages. Low and behold I was quoted over $1000 in damages. I had to HOUND American air.... I mean like call every 1-2 days used different phone number over the course of weeks to get a hold of them, because they were intentionally not picking up to my out my out of state area code, to the mistake made. Numerous messages were left to inform them of the predicament we had found ourselves in.
Fast forward about 1 1/2 months...
FINALLY got them to own up to it. They contacted their insurance agency. Sent out an adjuster. Accessed the damages $2,000+ in his perspective. The owner was even dodging his insurance company who was trying to update him on the situation. To the point they had to made an executive decision on how to remedy the situation
Unprofessional. Horrible. Joke. Do not use this company. A simple job turned into a complete nightmare lasting 2+months of a fiasco.
Terrible service! This was a HORRIBLE experience. I have never written a bad review in my life, but in this case, it could not be helped. If there was a way to put zero stars, I would have. I have asked that my home warranty NEVER send America Air (ALSO KNOWN AS 247 America Air conditioning) back to my house. We were without a/c for 4 months (May through September), our compressor was replaced 3 times by America Air and never worked. While waiting for 2 weeks each time for someone to come back and work on your a/c is super aggravating, the worst part was not the mid-summer heat....it was the terrible receptionist, Linda! It's been 4 months and I probably had to have at least 15 interactions with her and everytime she was awful. She was incredibly rude, talked over me when I would try to ask questions and even spoke poorly about another a/c company that had to come fix what 247 America Air messed up. I have never had someone in a service role be so incredibly rude. Their office is impossible to get in touch with and when Linda did call me back, after I called everyday for a week, she tried to tell me that they were too busy and they will only talk to my home warranty. Are you telling me that if a customer calls you and asks for a return phone call, you just won't call them back? My home warranty also tried to call countless times and they could not get in touch with the office. The home warranty rep that was calling on my behalf said that Linda actually hung up on them and then he got sent straight to voicemail. And if you think you can bypass Linda and talk to someone who might have better customer service, that's a no-go. Even though I asked to speak with the owner, I was never connected with him. At the end of 4 months with no A/C, there was never a resolution from America Air. The home warranty had to contact a completely different company to come fix our air conditioner because America Air wouldn't return any calls. If they were any good at all, you would never know it because of the impression they're providing by keeping Linda as the contact. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation and call someone else....anyone else.
