    Called on a Saturday that my a/c wasn’t cooling. The tech promptly showed up a short time later. He was very professional and talked through each step of the process. Very knowledgeable young man and worked as if he really did enjoy his job. Got our a/c back to cooling again. Will definitely use their service again and highly recommend anyone needing a/c service to contact them.

    We could not be happier with Barrus Heating and Air! From the professionalism that we encountered from our first phone call with the lady that answers the phones to the expertise that we saw when James first came out to check our system, Barrus is definitely a first class establishment. They were very thorough in the process of discovering our AC system issues and Bill Barrus had different options for us to choose from in terms of how to rectify our problems. He spent plenty of time explaining each option to us and helping us to understand what our choice would mean for our final outcome.
    Our home has required the services of many AC companies in the past but we are thrilled to have finally found a company that we can be with for the long haul and trust to do a great job.

    Great company. Our compressor locked up on a Saturday night. I waited until Monday AM to call on a recommendation from my neighbor. (He said, Barrus is the best.) I explained Monday morning to the dispatcher my wife was 8 1/2 months pregnant and we had no AC. They got a tech out that morning, diagnosed a locked compressor, had a quote ready all in the same day. Also it turns out they moved some scheduling around and came out the very Mr day to install the new unit. James was the veteran tech on site. Very professional and knowledgeable. They had the unit installed in no time and running. Eat work, above and beyond for their customer and great follow through on their word. This level of customer service is a dying art and people should know just how much I appreciate what this company did for me and my family! Thank you!!

    It usually takes really good service or really poor service to drive me to leave reviews of companies, and in this instance I had an incredible experience. Our A/C unit stopped blowing cold air and the company was able to quickly and professionally respond to our request for a system diagnosis.

    The lead technician, James, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and willing to share every minute detail; which I appreciate being an engineer.

    Our issue turned out to be a capacitor and quick fix. We also had our Freon levels properly adjusted. The pricing for all of these services were clear upfront and very reasonable.

    While this was only my first experience with Barrus Heating and Air, based on their customer service and professionalism, they have totally secured me as a customer!

    I have dealt with Barrus 2 separate times. Both times they have been super punctual and always arrive the same day that you call. I found out that I needed to replace my whole unit, so the owner of the company, Bill, came to my house to discuss my options with me. He was very thorough and very informative. He even got a crew to come out on the Saturday before memorial day, instead of having to wait until the following week, due to the high temperatures.

    I would recommend Barrus to anyone who asks. They always do an amazing job, are honest, informative and extremely professional.

    Up until today, I had only good things to say. While Bill and his crew maybe a little more expensive, they do excellent work. Today, I called because I needed help with the ductwork that was installed by Bill and his crew but was told that they no longer service our area, not even for an extra fee. While the issue with the ductwork has nothing to do with the workmanship or any kind of warranty, I was still very disappointed for having been turned away. Considering the business we did with Bill in the past and the money we spent (2 a/c units ~$13k, ductwork and minor repairs ~$2500k), turning us away is simply not acceptable and I am sad to say that we will no longer conduct any business at all with Barrus Heating & Air. However, if you are in their service area, I can highly recommend them, but be careful as you might end up outside their service area as well.

    EDIT: the driving distance is exactly 37.9 miles and per Google Maps, which is usually very accurate, the drive time is ~1 hour and 3 minutes.

    We woke up on a Monday morning with no heat. I called Barrus and they had somebody out to my house within an hour. James was very polite and thorough. He found the problem and was able to fix it quickly and ensured our heat was working again before he left. The cost was much lower than we were expecting. If we have any problems with our heating and air in the future, Barrus Heating & Air will be our first call.
