When we purchased our home, we included a home warranty with a pre-season tune-up option. We scheduled the maintenance as required and our home warranty company sent out Precision Heating & Cooling. The contractor came out on a Thursday and in the process of completing the inspection, the technician disabled the blower motor to the furnace. He never re-connected the motor after completing his inspection. After giving our unit a clean bill of health, he left. The furnace was disabled, but due to the temperature at the time we did not notice this until the weekend.
When we noticed the system was not coming on and had not been on since the scheduled inspection, we contacted Precision Heating & Cooling. The technician told us there would be another service charge for him to come out and diagnose the issue. He told us to go through our home warranty company to arrange the next dispatch. Our home warranty company informed us that the contractor has 48 hours on the weekend to get back to us, and scheduled the call with another contractor.
I went into the attic myself to see if I could determine what was disabled in the unit after their inspection. Within 2 minutes I was able to see the disconnected wire to the system. I took pictures and contacted the contractor after verifying the system was operating.
Everyone makes mistakes, and I will not fault someone for an honest mistake. However, this mistake could have easily been caught with a quick visual inspection. Additionally, if the system was tested after the inspection the technician could have determined there was an issue. None of this was done and I paid a $75 service fee for a technician to come out and disable a working unit. If I was not able to troubleshoot the issue myself, my family would not have had heat the rest of the weekend, and I would have been charged another $75 on Monday.

This place is very unprofessional and has little to no ethics with service. They will come to repair and will not honor the service warranty that comes with the service. Will never use this company again. I advise that you run far away from this company.
