On June 13, Richard was supposed to come to my house to repair a refrigerator (had a defrost issue but it was still working), but he called in sick. Someone called me (Christopher maybe?) half way through the day of the original appointment and said they had to reschedule. Because this is a rental property, and I want to protect my tenant from any possible Covid spreading, I requested a different technician. They told me June 20 was the next available date with someone else. I accepted. On June 20, the technician arrived, and I found out it was the same technician that was previously sick. Not only did Sears send the wrong technician and go against my wishes to help protect my tenant, the technician gave an estimate of about $450 labor plus parts. This is a job I called two other contractors to quote and they said it would take about an hour. When I called Sears dispatch to take care of the problem, they said they would call me back in an hour but they never did. Now the refrigerator doesnt work at all and everything had to be thrown away. I dont know what the technician did but he broke the refrigerator completely. This is unacceptable. This company is terrible, from the technicians, to the dispatch office. And over the last week I've received two calls from Sears companies to get both an extended warranty service as well as to replace my roof, siding, windows, doors, and heating/air conditioning. Let's focus on my refrigerator ok? And even that you cant do right. Go somewhere else. Sears isnt what they used to be.

Is Sears still around? YES! At first I was skeptical but this piece of Sears became part of Transform Home Improvements. They are based out of Florida. That isn't a problem since they used a local HVAC contractor to do the installation and a local team to size up the project. The only problem being in Florida caused was that my Android phone kept thinking it was spam until I added them to my contacts. For HVAC, the Sears Kenmore brand is now a Carrier system under the label -- right down to the serial number and model number. To register the Warranty, I had to go to Carrier. But, hey, I don't mind. Carrier is at the top of the list for HVAC. The Sears sales person I had was super professional. He happened to be trainer for the region and still stays in the field to keep in touch with what people are looking for and the questions they ask. I totally enjoyed talking with him and explaining my needs. After the sales process, we got to the installation. The installation team arrived promptly and assessed the job. For this install, Sears used Yoss Heating and Cooling out of Waterford WI. They were an awesome team. Given the work site inspection, they suggested a few adjustments that they would make in their own home. It didn't make the job easier for them, in fact it added a couple of hours to the job. But it will make future work easier and will be easier for me to do typical maintenance like change the filter. Much appreciated. The job to replace the furnace and AC was done in a day and looks fantastic! Pricing for the job was reasonable and the workmanship was top notch. Both Sears and Yoss are now on my list for the next heating and cooling project I have.

I was very impressed considering the installer was alone no help, and he did a very very very awesome job installing the windows… very efficient and what I loved the most was how he cleaned the windows from smudges etc. afterwards….

Replacing 13 of our windows, they were the only service that would provide us with the options we requested of 9 companies we contacted... Hahn was professional, personable and knowledgeable. The install crew was fast, cleaned up completely, prompt, and polite. we will be using their service again... THANKYOU

We had siding put on our home. We did not order the color we received and when we called to say the color was wrong, we were told, that is what was ordered and basically "Oh Well", in addition we were told that the order was placed several months ago which was April 2021, we got it installed August 2021. Not sure of how that is my concern as I did not write up the order. The guys that did the actual work, did a great job and although the color was not what we expected, it looks good overall. The guys do not actually work for Sears and are contracted employees. The representative from Sears who was in charge of this job was very unprofessional and did not return phone calls in a timely manner. When I called to speak with the supervisor about my concerns, I basically was told the same.

We had a great experience. The sales rep (Hahn) was professional and so personable! He was so thorough and explained everything so clearly. Then we asked him about our roof and also our front window and he gave us quotes and information on those products as well. Hahn spent a great deal of time with us that I'm sure he did not plan on. He was a delight! The AC/furnace installers were very professional. They called ahead and told us what to expect and what time they would arrive. They also called the day of installation to let us know exactly when they would arrive. They were professional and they left everything as clean as they found it. We are very impressed and pleased with the entire team and products.

Right from the start of the process, when the Sales Rep, Hanh Tran, came to the house to look at our HVAC system and give us some suggestions, everything went as planned and on time. Dave and Jim showed up to do the install of our New Furnace and A/C Unit, right within the time frame they said they'd be here and finished up in the acceptable time frame that it would take. They took away all of the old equipment and cleaned up all of the debris that it took to get the job done. And the best part, everything works very well and is a lot more quiet than the old unit. We are very pleased with the whole process and would recommend Sears/Transform to anyone who needs HVAC work done. Thank You. Jim and Jan V

Had windows replaced by this outfit. Went well until the contract was signed and down payment made. Then a Project Coordinator took over and the delays kicked in. She wouldn't return phone calls or answer emails. Had to contact her boss several times. Finally, the installation appointment was made, then cancelled a half hour before they were supposed to show. The Project Coordinator was supposed to call me the next morning to reschedule, but did not. Left voicemail, sent email, no answer. Had to contact her boss again, which delayed the rescheduling several days. The installation went well, the windows seem to be of good quality, but I won't be considering this outfit for the bathroom renovation that is the next project because I'd likely get stuck with the same unsatisfactory customer service level from the person supposed to be coordinating the project.

Terrible experience. Not only did WE have to f/u for weeks just to get someone to come out to measure our doorway for the door we bought, not only did they react very slowly to get this addressed, then lied about attempts to reach us which contradicted the many stories each of them spun individually, they accidentally broke a window pane in an interior door & ignored f/u calls and emails regarding getting it fixed. Once it was escalated to a manager because WE had to seek that recourse out ourselves, weeks later our interior door was fixed...however, the WORST part of this experience was the fraudulent bait & switch move they made. The salesman offered us points towards more product or the option to convert those points into a reduction in cost for our purchase which we chose. It brought our door that was about $2700 down to $2300 & less our $500 deposit/payment our new balance financed was $1800 but when we received our statement from the lender, our balance was over $2400!!! $1,800 is far less than $2,400+ & they are unwilling to honor what the salesman showed us on his iPad before leaving that night & since he left w/o giving us any documents providing that price, they will not adjust the price of the door. Talk about adding insult to injury. This is the most unprofessional, shady company we've ever had the displeasure of working with.

I ask him since it was so cold did i need to reschedule and he said no to my surprise!! He installed my door in just a couple hours and he had done a fine job!! I checked it out to make sure that it was done to my satisfaction!! it was and i signed off on the door!! I would recommend sears to any one!! I had siding put on my other home down south and they had done a fine job on it to. sold the house and it has been 27 years on it and it never faded or stained!! I highly recommend them!!

We had previously used Sears with great success. Did our floors, counter tops and roofing all with Sears. Due to a water leak we needed our wood flooring replaced. What a nightmare! Install date was pushed back without explanation or communication. Did not have the floor transitions on the first day...was going to install cheap metal until I really complained and they finally had to come back and replace the metal with the wood ones. Project coordinator was less than helpful. Doubtful if we will ever use Sears again.

I do not understand why people feel the need to continually list bad reviews on google when all they need to do is contact the office with any concerns with their installation. I just completed my 5TH PROJECT with Sears Home Improvements and once again the ordering process was simple, the installation impeccable on a far superior product quality that YOU CANNOT GET FROM A BIG BOX STORE and with any issues I've had in the past they've always taken care of me and made sure the situations were resolved. You get what you pay for - if you want cheap, you'll get cheap and no follow up service when you actually need it. Sears provides a far superior business model and that is why I will continue to pay a little more to make sure all my projects are taken care of correctly by a company that actually stands behind it's work.

I was not impressed with the overall service SEARS provided. They didn't provide the items specified in the order, and took my $245 Nest without letting me know. Not good at all!

I contacted Sears as I had replacement Windows from them at my previous home. The Window quality is very good on these new Windows but I have come to find out that they are not Sears Windows at all, rather Wincore windows which I could have purchased and had installed for 1/2 the price I paid for these. Definitely misleading, bad business practices, and over-charging occurred.
