We are very pleased and satisfied with our recent central air replacement. We received everything we were looking for with Gross Heating and Air Conditioning, and chose them over two other quotes.
Very professional but friendly group of guys. First impression was the we felt comfortable making this big purchase with this company. Big thanks to our installers Brad and Dan. This week I had a crew from Gross heating, install a new Unico air conditioning system. It was a week long very intense project. The crew lead was Jesse, working with James and Colton. I have lived in my house for 35 years and had many many workmen come through over the years, but this crew of workers was far and away the best I could imagine. They worked extremely hard in very warm conditions in my attic, never complained, went the extra mile to make sure every day of the week they left the house, spic and span, Answered every question I had, and just generally did an outstanding job, and took incredible pride in their work. Jesse is a wonderful leader for younger technicians to learn from his vast wealth of knowledge. I would absolutely recommend Gross heating to anybody, and they are definitely going to be our go to company for all of our heating and air conditioning needs.
Gross Heating and AC has been servicing our furnace and AC for many years and without exception, are always the most professional, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, efficient, cost effective service company we have ever dealt with. They do customer and technician service correct, right down to a T. Thank you for being able to trust in your company. (unlike many others)! And thank you for keeping our equipment running reliably and great.
In late January 2023, I was out of the state when I received a concerned call from my 86-year-old Mom and father in law, telling me their furnace and heat were not working at her house. They had called an HVAC company (not Gross Heating) and this HVAC company said they did not have the part needed and they “might” get the part in the next few days. They gave them space heaters and left. I immediately got on the phone as I was driving back to Wisconsin, to call my HVAC company, Gross Heating & Air Conditioning. It was a Saturday at around 7 pm, and there was a major winter storm happening at that time. The Gross Heating representative stated this was too risky, especially when the space heaters continued to trip fuses. I was blown away when the representative at Gross Heating said…they would get over to my Mom’s house immediately as they were worried about her and their situation. Keep in mind that it was later in the evening on a Saturday and there was a major winter storm occurring at the same time. Gross Heating made it to my Mom’s house that night in 10 inches of snow, THey identified the part that was needed, installed the part, fixed the furnace, removed the space heaters, and fixed the fuses that were tripped from these space heaters!!! I cannot say anything more about Gross Heating & Air Conditioning other than the fact that they are AMAZING!!! I normally do not provide reviews online, but Gross Heating & Air Conditioning went above and beyond and I can say they are best and most reliable HVAC company and they do the right thing for their customers. Thank you again Gross Heating!!!!
Brad and James did an awesome job. They were here in time kept a neat and organized work area. They were well educated on the installation of my new furnace. The new furnace works nice. I went with the Lennox 70k 2 speed furnace. Also I was credited with a recent furnace repair cost. Nice little perk. Thanks Gross Heating.
Brad and James did a great job installing a new furnace yesterday. They were very organized, efficient and careful. They covered all floors and stairs so that everything was in perfect condition when they finished. They explained the new furnace and thermostat when they finished.
Randy Belongia is one of the best and his great personality is the reason I will always call Gross Heating & Air Conditioning first! He is a true professional and extremely knowledgeable. As a young (newer homeowner) I appreciated his willingness to take the time to educate me about my HVAC equipment and how to properly maintain it. Every interaction with Randy has been wonderful and he continues to go above and beyond. I highly recommend Randy for any service you may need done!
Could not recommend this company more! We called for a furnace repair and had a technician at our door within hours. The technicians were prompt, professional, and very educational. We ended up needing to replace our furnace, and they kindly guided us through the process every step of the way, at a very reasonable price! Everyone we spoke with was so kind, and took care of us as though we were family. They had a new furnace installed within days from our first service call and made sure we were as warm as could be until the job was finished. You will be in good hands with these folks!!!
Gross installed our new furnace, central air conditioner, Aprilaire humidifier and thermostat. Our crew, Mike, Daniel and James were on time, pleasant and professional. This was all done in one day. They thoroughly explained the extent of their work and the operation of our new equipment. We dealt with the owner, Joe Mechenich, during the proposal process. Joe is very knowledgeable and clearly explained our numerous options and provided very competitive pricing. We had used Gross for service at our former home and have found them to be very honest and reliable.
Gross Heating has always sent qualified and responsive service techs to service my home system. They are thorough and willing to listen to my concerns doing more than just follow a check list and leave. Really no reason to call elsewhere for HVAC work.
On Easter weekend our furnace died. Would not restart no matter what. I decided that we did not want to pay for off hour fees to have Gross come out, so we threw some wood in our fireplace and kept the house warm enough to enjoy the family festivities as we were hosting 15 people for our house. I called and a message to schedule someone as soon as possible Monday. I received a call that following Monday morning and they were at the house by 10AM. What they found was a small chickadee had crawled into the output pipe and the furnace could not get oxygen to burn. I paid a nominal fee to remove it and it has worked perfectly ever since! Thanks Gross again for quickly fixing our problem and getting us up and running quickly. Heat to you all!

The team arrived on time and started working right away. Everyone was polite and professional. I was given a detailed how-to with both my new heating and air conditioning systems. They even turned off all lights and didn’t leave any mess behind which I really appreciate! Def recommend this company.
Great experience. Jerry has a top notch staff. Prompt. Said they'd start at 7:30 a.m. and they were here and ready to work. Colton and James were polite and introduced themselves to us. Very neat. They put floor coverings over our carpet. They took all old equipment out and cleaned up. Jerry stopped by to check how installation was going and oversaw connection of thermostat to WiFi. Explained use of thermostat. Colton showed us how to change filters and explained maintenance. Very honest and reliable. Highly recommend.
THE. BEST. There simply are not enough superlatives to convey the excellence that is Gross Heating. My old furnace died Saturday night. Today, my new furnace was installed! From my very first distressed phone call placed after hours on Saturday night, to the very last moments with the installation techs today, my interaction with Gross Heating has been exceptional. Michelle, Randy, Nels, Greg, Colton, Mike, Cody and MJ all performed their jobs with a level of customer service rarely seen anymore. While each of these persons played a different role, (all significant), each made sure the process was efficient and seamless. Their attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction was their end goal every step of the way. I had used Gross for years maintaining my previous HVAC system, so when I needed service I knew exactly who to call! I will continue to use Gross Heating for all regular maintenance on my new system! Amazing! From the office staff, to the technicians, everyone was great! When I called in to let them know my furnace was not working they were very responsive, confirmed a date and time right away. Randy came out today and was on time, very professional, friendly and informative. I cannot recommend them enough!

I couldn’t ask for a better experience. About as professional as you can get. I can’t say enough good things about the experience from quote to completion. The guys were on time, friendly, knowledgeable and cared about the aesthetics of my historic home. Two thumbs way up!
We are so pleased with our salesman, Jeff, who completed the primary installation design and followed up with us before and during the installation. He prepared us for what was going to happen. We were just so confident that what he told us was true and accurate. He presents as both experienced and knowledgeable. The installation team spent nearly half a day reviewing the plan within the context of what they saw in our house then began installing. The team communicated well, usually telling us when they would leave or return. They were so neat and precise with their work. There was no mess left behind in any of the 5 rooms in which they installed the mini split units not outside where they ran the lines. Every step of the process they seemed to check and double check to make sure the work was done correctly. They even made several calls to Mitsubishi to ensure that they were correctly installing. The installation team worked well together. In addition to the salesman and installation team we are very pleased with the Mitsubishi mini split system. It is working for us exactly as we had hoped and exactly how Jeff described it. My wife and I are totally satisfied customers and would confidently recommend Gross Heating and the Mitsubishi mini split system to anyone who asks!
