I live in an old Condominium and the air handler wasn't easy to find but the management office and my neighbors recommended JAMA Heating and Cooling to replace the air handler. I called Walter, he gave me the price that I couldn't find anywhere else. He told me that he can come and install the air handler tomorrow and they showed up on time, got this done quickly. Very professional work and reasonable price. I highly recommend Jama Heating and Cooling.
Great company I have found. The price for the thankless water heater was in my budget. Very clean and professional installers. Very prompt in getting me in the schedule. They are a great company. Will use them in the near future.
They installed a new HVAC unit for my condo that cost almost $10,000. The unit came with a 5-year warranty. I had problems with the unit since the first year of install. I had to call Jama to come back to repair it and pay for their service fees every time. I told Jama that it was not right that a new unit had so many problems, but Jama ignored my complaints and told me the unit was fine. The last repair occurred in 2020, eventually Jama told me that they couldn't repair the unit anymore. I would need to purchase a new unit because the warranty has expired. I called Jama multiple times, sent them emails a few times, but they refused to engage in any communications. This company is the worst!
Professional and friendly. I called them for a duct cleaning and they came out a few days later to do the job. They were friendly and gave advice on how to keep my HVAC system running well. I ended up agreeing to make the recommended upgrades, which they returned a few days later and quickly finished the job. I really enjoyed working with this company so much, I even had them replace my old water heater too.
I had a great experience with Jama. They installed a new AC and coil for me. The price was very reasonable. The were very responsive and professional. I liked being able to pay online after the job was completed. I highly recommend them.
This was the first time that I've hired Jama and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. My AC broke on Saturday afternoon and the next morning they came to assess the situation. They've provided me with estimates to replace a broken part or the entire system. I've opted to replace the entire system (heat pump) since it was quite old. They always arrived when the said the would and also provided a heads-up. Overall, a very positive experience.
Unprofessional services
I highly recommend Jama heating and air. Jama installed a new gas furnace early this year. The service was amazing. The installers were great. The response from the main office was very prompt. Jama heating and air prices were very competitive. Very pleased with t he whole experience. Flash forward... during this heatwave we’ve been going through our AC upstairs has not been working as well as it should be. I called Jama and the next day they came out to look at our AC unit. They were right on time for they time window they said 3 to 5 pm. Turns out there was nothing wrong with our AC unit.(very honest. Didn’t try and sell me on repair etc.) The technician did recommend adding an attic fan to reduce heat in the attic. He also recommended adding extra air supplies in the bedrooms would help cool the upstairs. I highly recommend Jama
I used Jama for the first time after I was not happy with the original installers of my system. They performed an annual inspection and they determined my system was operating fine aside from needing a replacement UV bulb. They arrived on time, were polite, and efficient. I like to know how the system works and asked lots of questions which the technician (AC) happily answered. I will definitely use them again...top notch.
Said they would get back to me 2x to schedule appointment and never did!
Five stars is not enough. I called at 7:30am with a broken furnace; by 9am it was fixed, for well under $200.
These guys are a joke! We had them out May 30th. They cleaned my coils and charged my hvac system. They said they fixed a small leak in my system and charged me 980.00. In mid July the unit wasnt cooling any longer. When I called in to have them check it out the person on the phone gave me a rough time saying it was my fault and I had leaks in the system and I would be charged again for it and a"leak check", this is before I even gave her my address. They wanted to sell me a entire new r410 system..... Finally I got them to come out to figure what was happening. The guy was there a few hours and he could only find the leak "they stopped" a month ago. I told the tech I wanted someone to call me Monday to discuss this since it was a weekend...no one called, I had to call them and gave them one final notice before stopping payment and try to make this right... I called another company, they fixed the leak and added freon to the system over half the cost to these clowns. The tech also stated they shouldnt have used chemicals to the coils because it damages them. Moral of the story, if you are looking for a great company who stands behind their work then dont use these guys. If you want to see a circus, give them a call.
This company is family owned and operated and WONDERFUL! I have dealt with them for 5 years and they have never failed me- If you need this kind of service I highly suggest you give them a try and you will not be disappointed.
I called and told them what I needed and they didn’t try to charge me $120 to come “diagnose” the problem. They quoted me a price over the phone and were able to come that day and install my thermostat. Fast and friendly service, I highly recommend, the bigger companies charge you to walk in the door...stick with small and local companies.
JAMA has helped us twice with plumbing issues. They were very prompt and responsive, and provided great work at an extremely reasonable price. These are the first people we look to when we have a plumbing or heating issue!
I called not only on MDW, but on a Sunday. Jose arrived in just under an hour, after finishing with another client. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it quickly and was nothing but professional and wonderful. I will absolutely recommend JAMA Heat/Cool/Plumbing to my friends in the future. Thank you for saving the rest of my holiday weekend!
