We used their service to fix our HVAC after being diagnosed wrong and charged multiple amounts for multiple visits that didn’t even fix the problem! I’m not confident of their technician, he would tell things he changed when it’s billing time . They shld inform the owner first before doing anything . I will never get their service again.

came back to edit my review posted last night, apparently under my other e mail. Excellent overall, hope compnay expands, and maintains same model, eg quality, professionalism and put out of business the hvac companies that do not deliver as per industry practice and laugh when they do duct cleaning eg viewed as legally stealing "money" and charging , without hyperbole 3 times going rate with attitude "take it or leave it" Claudia, Karen and Ruben of 495 HVAC were excellent, Of course the example is set by the top eg owners and management. I had asked another contractor about a very unique HVAC system in a condo i just bought, eg never seen such before whereby there were more than the ordinary water cutoff valves in a hot water heater, some which controlled the AC. (never seen such system). Other contractor, saw pics , questions, (my wife was talking to him) but did not address such. When i called him, he stated call back but did not state when. Then he texted, unless an emergency call back on MOnday am with questions. CLEARLY TO THIS IDIOT, ONE OF THE VALVES WHICH WAS IN WRONG POSITION AND MADE AC WORK OVERTIME, WAS NOT AN EMERGENCY. 495 HVAC TOOK TIME TO CIRCLE THE VALVE ON PIC AND STATE IT SHOULD BE IN OFF POSITION, THEY GOT A MAINTAINANCE APPOINTMENT THE SAME WEEK, , WHILE THE "PROFESSIONAL" CONTRACTOR WHO SPENDS WEEKENDS WITH FAMLY AND RELAXES (WHICH IS WELL DESERVED AND COMMENDED). NORMALLY MONDAY AM , IN MY VIEW 99% PERCENT OF CONTRACTORS ARE ON A HOT ROOF WORKING ON AC, AND CERTAINLY I WOULD NOT WANT TO BOTHER THEM.
No need to repeat others / there is a reason they have zero one stars / Claudia and Karen at office and Ruben (tech ) all excellent . But credit goes to the top as well( the inverse of Michael Dukakis “ fish starts smelling at the head”/ ownership/management deserves credit/ I owned several properties over past 50 years snd my hvac were serviced by good friend who unfortunately is no longer able to do such / as such July ‘22 I found what I believe is one if best hvac cos in dc area! I hope they do not become like the others and start taking things fir granted : mo eg $$$ can still be made the old fashioned way / abd they are doing it / good service/ price: professionalism / responsive / I was referred to a different company prior to 485 hvac / however owner (and cognizant of fsmily snd dsy off ) told me to call him back w/o specifying time / dud not plan on 3 hour conversation but one simple question prior to setting up appointment- then he texted Sunday’s only emergencies / call Monday am with question / appreciate that , however I did not want to call an hvac guy in summer during working hours eg maybe up on roof in 109 degree heat? “I do not have to beg anyone to give them my $$” He can wait by telephone for my call! I earned my business he has to earn his / 495 hvac responded with e mail Monday am with answer which answer involved office/Claudia and a tech / within 5 minutes I called and made appointment / not missed a best / hope 495 hvac expands with same standards and the market will take care of the charlatans / crooks etc including some of my countrymen thst wanted 7 k to move an ac few feet / word on street was their motto was “our price , take it or leave it” , / even Rome fell gents!
Responsive and competent, if a little pricey.
495 HVAC has been extremely professional, timely and responsive. When I called for new HVAC estimate, they had someone out in a matter of days, and appointments are made within days of calling. The technicians arrive on time each time. They were responsive to my concerns about a rattling noise from the new unit, got someone out the next day and resolved it. The prices seem fair to other competitors. Love the emails and text updates to keep you informed of your appointment status. I'm very impressed with this company and their awesome customer service.
495 HVAC was recommended by a neighbor but still I was not sure what to expect. I was very happy to receive an excellent service in all aspects: from responsive and efficient first contacts with the office (Natalie and Karen) to installation. 495 HVAC outlined different options, was willing to work with me on the budget offering a reasonable price, and immediately provided all the documents required by the building. The timing which was also an important part to me was quick. The crew of three Technicians (CJ, CJ, Mesa, and Mauricio) were punctual to the minute, very professional, courteous, and neat (no mess left behind and following Covid-19 precautions). Most importantly, they did a great job and answered all my questions regarding the equipment, warranties, and maintenance. I am very happy I chose 495 HVAC and relieve the work has been completed so efficiently. Will not hesitate to recommend 495 HVAC to others – you don’t come across this level of customer service often these days. Thank you.
I made an extensive redesign of the way my Trane system is connected to my ducts in order to improve air flow and reduce static pressure in the system. 495 HVAC performed a wonderful job and resolved the issues I was having. Guadalupe and his crew were very professional, arrived on time every day, cleaned up at the end of the workday (it took 4 full days to complete the job), explained everything to me clearly, and paid great attention to detail. The job also involved relocating the air handler, and 495 HVAC demonstrated great technical knowledge of my system, which is an advanced, high-efficiency Trane heat pump. 495 HVAC is a great company, and I couldn't recommend them more!

I’ve used 495 Hvac several times and they’ve always come thru for me in a timely and professional manner and I feel comfortable with their services. Their prices seem to be very reasonable compared to other places I’ve used in the past. Won’t hesitate to use these guys again!
technically the tech was wearing a mask, but it was the kind with a vent, which are not as safe. great service otherwise,
JC and his crew are amazing!!! Karen was extremely responsive and provided excellent customer service. We have their semi-annual HVAC service plan and are really impressed with the level of service and professionalism. I highly recommend 495 HVAC for all your heating and air conditioning needs!

We had a poorly designed air filtration system that was causing a lot of dust and poor air quality circulation in our house. The entire team was extremely helpful in diagnosing the issue, recommending a viable and affordable solution, and completing the work in a high quality manner. They exhibited superior workmanship, were highly skilled, courteous, and professional. We were very satisfied with the service and quality of the work. We will definitely recommend 495 HVAC to our friends, family and neighbors.
After my experience with them, I do not trust many of the reviews on here. We had an issue with our HVAC unit freezing up. It took them 3 visits, multiple tests, and over $500 later to tell us we had low refrigerant. It is also only a few years old and has gotten significantly louder, but we have no explanation. Low refrigerant seems like an issue that should be detected on the first visit. They may seem nice, but they are a total rip off.

I recommended 495 HVAC to my niece. I had met Lupe and liked him. They charged her $600 to put 3 pounds of gas (that's what they said) in her compressor - nothing else was done! Exorbitant! I'm sorry I recommended them.
