I love the pancakes I only get the tremendous twelve.
Put in a request through Angi. Mr. Bill called right away. He then had his tech call to set up a time to come out. Should have been by the next afternoon but ended up being a week later! So after an hour or more, he quoted me a $700 repair on a 3 yr. old system.....hmmmm! Things just didn't sound right but he was coming to do repairs the next day. He never showed up and Mr. Bill wanted to make things right so he called Terry Williams who also has an HVAC business. Terry and his associate came out at time scheduled and found the problem, fixed it and was done in close to an hour or so! When I asked what I owed, Terry said Bill was paying him because he wanted to make things right. I thought well how nice! NOT!!!! About 20 minutes later I get a call wanting payment from Bill in the amount of $225 with the $85 service call fee comes to $310 total. I thought well, I'm going to let Terry know that Bill wasn't making anything right after all. Terry then let me know that he only charged $150 total to Bill. Soooo NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.....USE Terry Williams Heating & Air instead. I don't mind paying for work done but charging double for a job you couldn't and didn't do is just wrong!
Mr. Yearwood and his assistant were quick to respond to my call and were professional. I didn't want to pay overtime hours for the issue with our heater, but was told it was $85 for service call and estimate and they came at 5:30pm. They proceeded to explain it could be one of two issues after looking at it for a few minutes- board or flame sensor as the unit was short cycling. After a few more minutes outside getting his meter, they decided it was just the flame sensor that needed to be cleaned and the high limit sensor and proceeded to do these things in about 15-20 minutes. I finally learned the price of this visit when the bill was being written up. $165 to clean the flame sensor (brand new part is $10-20, but just cleaned it from what was said) and I assume they replaced the high limit switch (again $10-20 for part). Those two items were $375 on top of the $85 visit charge. I'm glad it wasn't the control board as those range from $150-350 and I'm not sure what that would have cost me in the end. I'm not sure what the cost of heating repair is these days, but thought I would share my experience and let others judge for themselves if this seems fair.
I've used Mr. Yearwood since I moved into this house. Initially I called him because he is based out of Collierville also. He responds promptly to requests for service. The tech that came out recently (Mike) was different than the one I had dealt with before (John), but a very nice and thorough guy. I will continue to use this company for the foreseeable future.
Very friendly and they were able to come out to fix our A/C the same day I called. The technician was friendly and transparent about what he was doing and what the issues were. He fixed the problem easily and was prepared with the parts he needed. He was also kind enough to explain some ways to help prevent the same issue in the future. Would definitely use them again.
We needed our gas fireplace repaired and came across Yearwood Heating and Air. Things were kinda of rocky being October/November and everyone in the Memphis area is needing the fireplaces serviced for winter but Bill and John worked with us to get it fixed. Bill would keep in contact with us and made sure that he kept us in the loop regarding when they would be out. John is a true asset to this company. I don’t think I have seen anyone as dedicated to making sure that everything was repaired properly. Plus he has a tremendous work ethic. If you should need someone to work on your fireplace keep these folks in mind. Do yourself a favor and do it before the cold weather hits as they get very busy. It’s a lesson well learned for me. My hat is off to them for their hard work and making sure that we were taken care of.
To busy to high not dependable
They were very professional, John explained everything to me so I could understand. The prices were great! Highly recommend this company to do any of your heating and air problems. Thanks so much for all your help!
We've used Yearwood Heating and Air for both heating and air conditioning needs. They are a small company where you get the best personal help. They show up when they say they will, they do good work and you are treated well. I would recommend them to anyone in the Collierville area needing heating or air conditioning repairs!
Fast, knowledgeable and reasonable rates. I enjoyed working with Mr. Yearwood and his employees. I will recommend his company to all my friends!
had a complete 5 ton change out for a 20 year old system excellent service and very satisfied . highly recommend Yearwood
Would recommend them to anyone!
The Yearwood team did a wonderful job of communicating with me throughout the entire installation of my heating and air units. They worked through tremendous heat, and I truly appreciate what they went through to get my house cool again.
I just moved to the Moscow area, knowing that I was far away from anything. When both my units went out, I was referred to the Yearwood Team for servicing and repairs. Mr. John and Mr. Garry came out of there way twice to make sure the new units were running smoothly. Service after sale is a great customer-retention strategy! I will definitely be recommending them! Thank you for your service!
I called for a quote on new a/c and the installer (John Smith) arrived in 25 minutes just as was promised. John was excellent at his investigation and showed me that the duct work would not support a larger unit that I had ask for. ( condition not provided by other installers). The quote provided was far better than any other and did not attempt to sell me any thing I did not need. Good job John and Bill.
I am surprised to see this guy reviewed this high, that is how I fell in to his trap the first time. He went away with almost $300 without doing nothing. He is very deceiving. May be because he was an older guy, I trusted him more than he deserves and that costs me. I would say be watchful.....
Called Yearwood Heating and Air Conditioning to service our Ventless Firepaces based on internet reviews that I read right here. I was greeted by Bill Yearwood who was pleasant and helpful on the phone. I was able to schedule service the following day! John, the service technician, arrived on time the next day, and did a fabulous job of servicing and repairing our 2 Ventless Fireplaces. Great experience, I won't hesitate to call them again for any of our Heating and Air Conditioning or Fireplace needs!
My wife & I can not stop singing the praises for Yearwood. Less than a week before Christmas, and we needed a fireplace replaced. Not just an insert...the ENTIRE FIREPLACE! Oh, not to mention that our system is propane. Well, Yearwood said they would sent someone over to look at the job the next day, Not only did the guy show up ON TIME, he did more than just look at the job...he started on it! His name is John. John worked, and while working, explained every single thing he was doing...and needed to do. Our fireplace looks incredible! We did not know until after the install that the previous home owner had a lot of things within the exhaust and the power supply that needed "undoing". John stayed late, completed the job! And after completing the job, John removed all the trash...ALL of it! The old fireplace, sheetrock, all tossed into his truck and removed!!! Who does that?!!! WOW!!! Yearwood's prices are very reasonable. Can we go any higher than 5 stars? God bless this company...true spirit of EXCELLENCE!!!
Mr. Yearwood could not be more amazing to work with. Called him in the morning and had new gas logs installed same day. Will call for any heating and air needs we have!! Referred to two other people and he was able to get to them the same day as well. I would give 10 stars if possible.
My family and I moved to Collierville almost 4 years ago. In the first 2 years when I had an A/C or heating issue I would call around and had maybe 3 different companies come in and do work for me. I happen to find Yearwood Heating and A/C from Google and called to have a tech come and find out why my upstairs A/C was not cooling down. Not only did Bill show up that day, but he had my A/C cooling down as well. His prices were very reasonable compared to the other companies I had used in the past. Since then I have never called anyone else for service or repair. Bill is always prompt to return a phone call or even a text to answer a questions I may have. His service for his customers goes way beyond just something he can earn a dollar for. He wants to see return customers and is the reason why he has reasonable prices, but is very professional and courteous as well. I will not call anyone else other than Yearwood Heating & Air Conditioning and if you're reading this you shouldn't either.
