Josh found a wire that had broken at the compressor. He fixed it, added freon and replaced a capacitor that had failed. He did all this at a reasonable price. Good thing I got a second opinion, the first HVAC co. wanted to replace the whole a.c. unit for $5,000. Not needed. Thank you for being honest Josh.

Once again, Summit saves the day! Our furnace was working intermittently And I called and Josh came out first thing in the morning. As always, super professional and it turned out just to be a switch that needed replacement. We really appreciate his help and professionalism. We have used him multiple times. He is the only person that we will ever use for HVAC. Also it’s great that he’s a small business owner so it’s nice to support locally instead of some big box HVAC company.

Had Summit come out to do an estimate on a new furnace. Never heard back. Called and left a message….nothing.

Summit Heating & Air are absolutely fantastic. When installing my units they were very thorough in educating but not selling me, unlike others. I don't need them much but over the years when I do they are ALWAYS responsive (same day) in getting to my house. I feel like I am their only customer. It seems service standards have waned over the years in many service sectors so when I get great consistent service, I am compelled to tell others as well as the great team at Summit! Thank you!

I called Josh about an issue with my Furnace not working. He called back immediately on the next business day right as he opened. He was able to schedule me in for a few hours later. He even subbed earlier than expected. He addressed the issue right away and got the necessary parts needed for the repair. Pricing was very good and my issue was fixed in less than 2 hours. We interviewed several HVAC contractors to replace our 25 year old furnace, AC & heat exchanger. We selected Summit to do the work. Josh owns the company and does the work himself. We were looking to replace our heater and ac in our house. Had another quote from a company but felt they called more about upselling me then actually helping me. Called Summit and Josh came out told me what I needed and explained why there was no benefit to go with lager sizes. Sold me exactly what I needed and didn't try to sell anything additional. And he used higher rated equipment. Took about a week to get the new units, Josh showed up exactly the time he said and installed it all within a day. Can't recommend Summit enough.

Great service. Air stopped working yesterday evening (95 degree day). Called Josh at 6:50 PM, left message. He called back at 6:57. Seven minutes later. Said he could come by tomorrow between 9 & 11. He showed up at 9:50. Replaced a failed capacitor and we are back in the cooling air. How great is that. Service, service, service. He also installed a furnace for me 11 years ago that is working great. Call him, you won't regret it. I see nothing but 5 star ratings for him. I asked him if he has that many relatives but I know from my experience his service is exceptional.

Wow! Owner Josh Mahoney is responsive, skilled at his job, and extremely knowledgeable. My house has both a furnace AND a boiler (several additions by previous owners) and the kids and I woke up to a 55 degree house in early December. Even the dog was shivering. I contacted Josh and he was there within a few hours. He discovered the problem right away, completed several bits of necessary and overdo radiator maintenance, gave us a temporary fix so we were comfortable and promised to return the next day to solve the problem. My 30 year old furnace needs a new motor, and instead of up selling me to replace the furnace, Josh found me an appropriate motor at a great price. I am so glad I can rely on Summit Heating & Air to provide great service, at fair prices. I recommend this company to anyone and everyone. *I’m a newly single mom, and I sometimes feel that because I have no experience with home maintenance that I will be upsold a Galafrasian Dereulator when I only need a Flex capacitor. *

A few weeks ago, our AC gave out. It was a Sunday, so I spent a little time researching who to call on Monday morning. Summit Heating & Air, and Josh specifically, was highly recommended on Next Door. I looked the company up on Google, and there were nothing but 5 star reviews. I also looked the company up on Facebook, and again, nothing but 5 star reviews. Well, now I know why. Josh loves what he does, and it shows. Josh installed a new furnace for me a couple weeks ago along with a Nest thermostat and a whole house humidifier, replacing a 30 year old furnace on which the fan was starting to go bad. Today is a recent record -50F windchill in the twin cities and the furnace is running like a champ and keeping my house warm. I called Josh for an estimate on a new furnace. He was a pleasure to work with; he keeps it uncomplicated by staying small. He owns the company, installs, services, and even sets up his own appointments. I’m always happy when I find a professional who does good work at a fair price, but Josh seems to go a step further. When I had a hunch that my thermostat was creating issues with my existing furnace, he was willing to test this out for me while I waited for my installation date. He was interested in my online research and even suggested that we put my hunch to the test by changing my smart thermostat for a wireless one. My old furnace is now working fine, and Josh seemed truly happy for me even when this meant not selling me a new furnace.
