Mike showed up when he said he would, gave us an estimate on our AC replacement which we accepted and then showed up on time for the installation. System is working great. Would highly recommend Mike and prescription to anyone who has HVAC issues
I have used prescription heating and cooling 3 times in the past couple years. They've done a great job every time. They are courteous and always do a great job explaining what they need to do to keep our heating and cooling operational. They leave things cleaner than they were when they came in. They also have very competitive rates. Thanks for the awsome service.
Mike is an incredibly knowledgeable person. He has been here for emergency repairs on weekends AND holidays! He has honestly NEVER LET US DOWN! So glad we found him by personal referral from friends.

We had a new AC installed. It cost $1,200 less than the two other quotes we got. The job took him a half a day and when we turned it on two weeks later, it worked so well that we had to turn UP the thermostat.. Just had you do the fall maintenance thing and you were on time and fast - as usual! Thanks guys!
Mike is a talented HVAC technician. He installed a modern ultra high efficiency boiler with on demand hot water in our 1901 Oakdale home. It took him longer than he thought, but he stuck to his estimate and was very fair on price. He is the only place we will go to for plumbing/mechanical work that I will not do myself.
As usual Mike did a first class job on time and the right price.

Over the past 5 years the aging appliances in my townhome have needed to be repaired and eventually replaced; these include my air conditioner, furnace, water heater, and water softener. When I first needed an AC repair I went to google and when I decided to call Mike at Prescription Heating and Cooling I found a gem. He is very knowledgeable about the equipment he services and always explains things so you understand the issues and options and can make an informed decision. Mike will recommend replacement appliances based on their history and performance and not on their name; which ends up saving money in the long run and you still get quality appliances. I grew up in a small town and have learned to trust the small, local, independent contractors because they work for themselves and their reputation is important to them; not like the bigger companies who are usually out to make a buck. Had Mike out for a furnace repair, he was able to resolve the problem quickly and at a reasonable cost.. The furnace is 20 years old and in addition to the repair he ensured the furnace was running safely and efficiently - and no up sell for a new one (like Standard and others). Mike is highly skilled, friendly and trustworthy - he should be teaching this stuff. I highly recommend Prescription Heating and Cooling - Mike won't let you down.
Mike, the owner, was very responsive and was able to book a boiler maintenance visit in a reasonable amount of time. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain his work. There was no pressure to pay for unnecessary services or parts. He even diagnosed a gas pressure issue that several other HVAC companies had overlooked. He explained how to work with Xcel and get the problem resolved at no cost. If you are looking for a small, local, trustworthy HVAC company, give Mike a call.
