First heat of the summer and my air went out. Called on Tuesday and they were out on Thursday morning! Nate made the repairs on my AC. He was friendly, knowledgeable and informed me every step of the way on what repairs were needed. I appreciated his suggestions for furnace filters and future maintenance as well as providing me with warranty information on my unit. I highly recommend S&R. Nate did a great job with the repair! Loved the friendly and attentive service!
Rob and his crew have been extremely responsive and professional! My water heater flooded my basement and the S&R team were able to get there the same day. They are always reliable and make the process less painful. My AC/furnace went out a couple months later and Rob talked us through all the options. He was very thorough and didn’t pressure us into anything we didn’t want. We did add the extra air purification system and I’ll tell ya it is amazing and so worth the extra!! I would highly recommend S&R to any family member or friend. Great company and family business!
I utilized another companies service for a free HVAC tune up, figured what the heck its been a few years. Not only did that other company attempt to sell me on $5,000+ on parts repair, they told me that those parts were a month on back order, so they recommended I purchase a brand new furnace and AC. Worst news yet, they RED TAGGED my furnace, shutting it down saying it had to be repaired before turning it back on. Well none of this was sitting right with me and so I had to put my tail between my legs and give S&R a call and explain what was going on. The reason for the tail tuck? I've used S&R for my garage heater, washer, dryer, and water heater, so I felt stupid that they weren't doing my annual maintenance. Scott and his team has always been good to me, what was I thinking? Anyways, I call and they get someone out to me right away and explained the diagnostic testing they use to determine if a unit is starting to go bad or not and it helps them start their diagnosis. When the tech shows up, we discussed how the part that the other company red tagged me for is actually under the 20 year warranty from Bryant, so we'll have options no matter what the test shows. Regardless though, before getting into that, we need to do some test, okay. So, they ran a carbon monoxide test and explained to me how the numbers work to 'red' tag something. A normal furnace operation omits 0-100 ppm (parts per million) of co2. A Yellow tagged furnace operates at 100-400 ppm showing it needs repairs and a Red tagged furnace operates at 400+ppm. After explaining everything, he ran the test with me watching and it came back at 20. He then looked over the furnace and had his own opinion on the unit, with his experience believed that it still have a solid 3-5 years at least left of life. We had a furnace/AC system that was nearing the end of its service life. Scott and his team were wonderful to work with throughout the process of 1) trying to fix the old furnace, and 2) purchasing a new system when it was clear the old system was on its last legs. Great service, attentive, flexible, transparent, everything you want in a service provider. Very happy with the new system they installed and their quality of service along the entire journey.

I had S&R install the SecureAire Electronic Air Cleaner due to our allergies. The product works great. Our daughter use to get stuffed up when she came home for the weekend, but since the installation she has been fine.
S and R was quick and professional in helping me resolve my issue with my furnace and get it running better. With another company I got a “discount cleaning and tune up and they did almost nothing. S and R took their time and did everything they said they would. Will use again!
Rob the owner, and his crew was courteous, timely and efficient! We had no heat and it was repaired same day in a very professional manner. They did the initial installation of our Bryant system which is top notch, very quiet, and high quality. We would highly recommend S and R for installation and service of furnace and A/C systems
We had S&R Heating and Cooling install a new hybrid heat pump & AC system; along with a new upgraded hospital grade air purification system. We were impressed with Rob Langer and his whole crew. They were able to completely remove the old system and install the new replacement system within a day. Rob and his crew were very efficient and extremely helpful and courteous. As a homeowner for over 50 years, I feel great confidence in their professional work. We would definitely recommend S&R Heating and Cooling for any heating and cooling issues.

Our old furnace and A/C dying, and I knew it was time to look for replacements. After talking with a few different companies, I was impressed with what S&R proposed for replacement. They talked through the options as well as why I might want to select specific ones. I felt like I was under no pressure to go with the whatever they wanted to sell me. It felt more like they wanted to find out what I wanted so they could recommend the right systems. The installation went well with no unexpected issues. I was surprised with how quickly everything was installed and working. I wanted to wait a few months after the installation before I wrote the review to see if I was satisfied with the products and the work done. And I am very satisfied. Everything is working great - even with the sub-zero temperatures we've had lately. It's working exactly how I expected and how it was described to me when I was selecting the desired options. I haven't yet had a reason to call S&R since the installation, but I just know that I would get a quick response to whatever question I had for them. They were not the cheapest company I talked with when looking, but the quality of the service and systems I received were worth every penny.
Update: Another great service experience on 12/13. Excellent technician. Great experience! New furnace and air conditioning system. Owner spent several hours at the house to determine the best system and answer my questions. On installation day both owners and their crew were working. The installation looks great and the house is very comfortable in heat and cold. Also installed a water softener and bathroom fans which work great! Recommend 100%.
I worked with Scott for the replacement of my heating/ac system for a new heat pump system this past summer. Scott was very responsive on the phone and came by in person several times to be sure I understood the details of the systems he was proposing. The system has been working well and so far I'm happy with the performance. There were some issues with a faulty thermostat and Scott was quick to come out and get it replaced. So far I've loved having a heat pump system on my house! Have barely used any natural gas so far this winter and the comfort of the home has been superb! I'm looking forward to years of reliable low carbon, low cost heating and cooling! Thanks for the great service! Chris
Rob and team did a wonderful job installing a new HVAC system, on demand water heater and softener. the project was very complicated. the HVAC system was moved from the utility room to the attic. Most companies I contacted either didn't call me back or said it couldn't be done or they wouldn't do it. Rob took on the challenge and the results are amazing. we had just downsized. My wife summed it up best. the project turned a tent into a functional home for us.

We have been using S&R Appliance for over 25 years, since we moved into our house in 1997. They have installed and maintained the furnace, A/C, and hot water heater. They have also maintained the clothes washer and dryer. The staff is always professional and courteous. The cost represents great value. Wonderful team providing much peace of mind!
Have used S&R for several years to service my furnace, AC and gas fireplace. Techs know what they are doing, have always been on time, have been courteous and have answered all my questions. I received prompt service after hours when my furnace failed.
I had my water heater replaced by S&R Appliance fall of 2022. Jim and Jake did a fantastic job. Very timely, professional and communicated well throughout. Nothing but good to say about the entire experience. S&R also replaced my furnace and AC unit a few years ago with Scott and team doing a great job then as well.
This company does an amazing job! The day before Thanksgiving my family woke up without heat. We called another heating company that lives in my neighborhood no less and they wouldn't even come look at the problem before stating what they thought was wrong. I was told I need a new furnace, and not in a very pleasant way! I looked at facebook for recommendations and S&R was on the list so I took a chance. So glad I did! Rob the owner came over within an hour of my call and was so friendly and knowledgable and didn't make me feel like I was being ripped off.
