Our 19 year old system was leaking refrigerant so it was time to replace it. I called Total Temperature Control to get an estimate. John came out two days later, looked over the system, and provided me a quote the same day. We chose TTC as we've done business with them in the past and they are local. The install was scheduled for the following week. Prior to install the project manager came by to double check the measurements. On install day the crew showed up on time (7am) and were back 7am the next day to finish the job. Everyone involved was polite and willing to answer my questions. I highly recommend TTC.
Almost killed me and my family in a road rage.
I had two other different HVAC companies come over and each spend half a day and hundreds of dollars. Both had to come back multiple times and misdiagnosed the problem and tried to get me to order unnecessary parts and ultimately couldn’t fix it. John came in and found the issue and fixed it in literally less than ten minutes. Couldn’t ask for better service.
I purchased a whole home heat pump system from total temp about 18 months ago, and Total temp has been fantastic from start to finish. As with any big job (it was huge, a whole home ductwork installation with two heat pumps and air handlers) problems arose, but John and his team made sure I wasn't charged a penny more than the quote and they worked hard to get it all done on time. Their service team, in particular are incredibly polite and professional. I recommend John and Total temperature control without hesitation.
Installed new water heater and AC/heat system they are great! Honest and good value.
Great company. Just moved to town and needed my HVAC repaired cause it was leaking. Other companies wouldn't schedule me for weeks because I was a new customer. They got me on the schedule in two days.
Terrible service, would not use again. Extremely rude. Avoid this company.
Great Company to work with. Did a great job on the projects I used them on. Always kept in touch with me throughout the work. Highly recommended.

We have dealt with TTC for over 10years and would readily give them a five star rating but our last experience was the worst example of customer service ever. They didn’t show up the first day. The second day they were late but called. The technician had van trouble and was more worried about that than servicing our heating system. After the problem with his van was fixed it was left in our driveway all night long prompting a call from the police at 11:30 that night. The technician left the cover off our tankless water heater. Not even an apology from them after I emailed them. Lots of choices out there... off our list. Very disappointed.
As a local Condominium in Melrose, TTC has handled our heating and building needs for several years now. The technicians I personally have worked with, Ryan Murphy and in the past Joe Eason, are truly dedicated and knowledgable. About 5 years ago, in our building, we had Total Temp Control install 3 new Lochinvar boilers Knight boilers along with all the new Grandfos pumps. The Tekmar control system allows for fine tuning the 3 boilers for efficiency and a warm weather shut down calibration handles the separation between our HOT water (Domestic) and our Heat Loop thru the building. Ryan has that system down to a science and has us running efficiently this year, better than we have ever been. He's adjusted the hot water for heat, to vary depending on the Temperature outside so we were not unnecessarily heating water hotter than necessary. Having a great installation and service company close to our ''Homes'' has been very helpful and the staff (Laurie and Owner John) have been very receptive to emails, phone calls and inquiries that I personally have had over the past years As a new Retiree, and a Trustee'' of our Condominium Association, have been available work a little closer with Total Temperature Control and the staff and thought it was appropriate to take the time to recognize the company, the technicians, front desk staff, and the owner John! This is the second 5 star review for Total Temperature Control!! John, the owner, called us back promptly and arranged for tech Jamie to come out to ensure us that our recent installation was working efficiently. Jamie, the technician, is so knowledgeable and thorough. Jamie went out of his way to make sure that customer satisfaction comes first!! We not only recommend Total Temperature Control we also highly recommend their commitment to service and putting the customer first!!!
I was given three companies by American Standard for my Water Tank. The first on the list told me they don't do Residential. The Second, Aspen Wall Plumbing told me they were too busy. The Third, Total Temperature Control were busy also; understood my position having no hot water and sent someone that afternoon. The Technician knew exactly what he was doing and after trying several solutions concluded I needed a new part. He arranged for me to have it shipped overnight. It arrived the next morning and the tech return in the early afternoon and completed the job. Without reservation I would recommend this company. A Caveat to this would be to maintain your receipts. A year and a half I was billed for the services which I had paid for at the time. I called and was told to send a copy of my Credit Card Statement which I did. A year later they billed me again and claimed they never received it. I told them I would send via email and the next time they asked for it I would show it in COURT!! Horrible staff in the Office.
Dissapointed in our experience with TCC as they refused to correct an error by one of their technicians, who cracked a cap on the condensate drain line and resulted in a leak all over the floor and into the ceiling of the bedroom below. They refused to acknowledge this as their responsibility (even though i had seen the tech remove and re-install the cap in question and no one else had touched it). Full Story We had contacted TCC to perform service work on our home system (recently purchased new house - so this was the system's first winter) which was experiencing an Error code issue (Error 31). On the first visit from a tech he investigated, took various items apart and rebuilt as part of the troubleshooting. This included taking a cap off the condensate drain line, adding tape and goop and putting it back on. The system was able to turn back on after his visit, but then about 24 hours later the error reappeared. That was understandable - diagnosing errors can be tricky. A second tech visit was scheduled, this time it was delayed by multiple hours because of a school delay for the technicians children. This was an annoyance and we wish they had reached out about the delay (before the end of the 1 hour window they had given which is when we called them to ask) but not the end of the world. The second tech was able to find the correct issue (a plug that hadnt been removed by the install team) and the system finally started working consistently. A few days later we notice water dripping from the ceiling of the room below the system and on investigation noticed that the cap on the condensate line had been cracked. We know it wasnt leaking before the TCC team had visited, i know the first tech did interact with the cap, and i know no one else in the house touched the cap but TCC wouldnt take ownership of their mistake or take steps to fix the cap and damage. I was hoping to find a new HVAC company to use for service work in the future but am very dissapointed tha
I used TTC for the first time today to fix my AC. Jonathan was courteous, friendly, and efficient and the fee was reasonable. I plan to use TTC for all my heating/AC needs going forward.
My work experience with TTC. After finishing work in Peabody and little John and Dave arguing if I m going back to Reading job, I go there with Nate, just to find out that Nate has no silver tape at all(basic stock very HVAC company must have in the truck).After letting Dave know(he does not talk to Nate) don't ask me why, 2 hours later with Dave and Paul going in and out the job site in the meanwhile, John came from Peabody with the tape.OR having Nate and little Johnny(the vaping boys) telling me every day, every other hour this is not slavery slow down WOOOOOW.OR Nate telling me we can have a long lunch bc Dave just got at the Belmont job after Nate getting off the phone with little John.2 hours later our lunch break was over.I mean everybody screws off on the job here and there but the vaping boys and TTC was a first for me.
Total Temperature Control came out this morning to take care of my furnace that was acting up - The technician, Steven, was really helpful and diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently. He went out and got the parts, made the repair, and the furnace seems to be working great. I was impressed by how quickly their office called me back (I had called them during non-business hours) and set up the repair. Thanks again - you all made a stressful situation a little less stressful (especially right before a big storm!). Cheers.
We have used Total Temp over the last 10 years for excellent annual maintenance and service. Most recently we had to replace and upgrade our air and furnace units. John the owner sets the stage for great personal service! The office staff, his family and installation crew provide A+ service. Mark the service rep was very friendly and informative. He was able to troubleshoot my issue and provide options for fixing. The office was also very friendly to deal with. It was a positive experience all around.
