I am still reeling in shock from the repair quote they gave me. No breakdown of the charges to show labor, parts, sales tax, nothing but one huge amount on a blank page. They also added a diagnostic charge which doesnt even make sense since I already told them what was wrong and which part to replace. In recent years I have seen these prices go way beyond reasonable. This is price gouging in my opinion and I will not trust Moncrief for my heating and HVAC service again.

I hate to give a 1 star review, because the service was fine. The prices of this company are so outrageous!! I needed a part switched out on my HVAC unit. I paid $323 for the technician to come out and diagnose the issue. I was told we needed a new part and they would send an estimate over. The estimate for was $1440!!! I asked for a breakdown and was never provided with one. When I looked up the part online, I could buy it for $471. That is almost $1,000 worth of labor, and the estimate said 1.5 hours of labor. That’s over $600 an hour just to swap out a part! I called a competing company in the area, and they quoted me $659 for the part AND for the labor! Had a great experience with them for almost $800 less! Definitely call around before going with this company if money is a factor.

Filled out their online form and heard back from Leaf Guard right away. They tried to sell me on their product which I did not ask about. I wanted downspouts installed. They said Moncrief sends them leads. I never heard from Moncrief. Not only did they NOT help me, they wasted my time with a spam call from another business I was not interested in. Bad form. If I could give a negative 5 stars I would.

I had Moncrief come out to make sure everything was OK with my AC unit, they were right on time, found some problems, communicated well with me, and took care of the issues immediately. They wore dust covers on their shoes whenever they came into the house. Overall they were great and I was very satisfied with the service.

Moncrief sent a crew of 2 technicians to install a brand new Trane 2 ton air conditioner unit at my home. Lucas and Pablo were on-time, friendly, and efficient. They addressed all of my questions and concerns and more. They did extra work in my crawl space to fix an aircon water leak by installing a water pump and replaced the pipes to ensure water drains out properly outside my house. I also checked online and confirmed that Moncrief’s charges were in line with the industry’s is terms of air conditioner unit and installation cost. I am really impressed with their technicians’s strong customer oriented attitude and would highly recommend Moncrief because of this experience.

I called to try and get someone to come out an evaluate my HVAC system to see if it needs to be upgraded/replaced, etc. They wanted to charge me if a tech came out (all the other a/c companies offer free quotes). They said they could send an engineer out but the engineer could not “diagnose” anything. After some confusion I told them that I would just call another company. They just said, “ok.” They didn’t offer to help solve the situation and gain a customer. I guess they get enough money from elsewhere but I’ll pass. Not professional in my opinion.
