Second time we've called this company. In both cases, they arrived as promised. This time, they delivered a diagnosis that wasn't good news, but so had another company. Coastal had a next day solution. We are cool again, and that is all that matters!
On the hottest week of the year, our AC stopped working. Coastal was able to get out same day. Although our repair took a couple visits, Coastal was wonderful with communication and the owner, Melissa, was so friendly and helpful. We have used other local companies in the past and felt like they were overpriced and dishonest. It is refreshing to see that there are still honest business who still care. We look forward to working with Coastal again if we need a repair or upgrade!
Updated review: The owner, Melissa, made sure to give me a full refund and assured me that this is not how they run business and I believe her. She was very apologetic and professional. A bad egg shouldn’t ruin the entire batch because the owner is golden. I will give them another chance in the future. Previous review: Called for a diagnosis due to AC dripping, was told nothing was wrong by the repair man and was ready to pay $79 diagnosis fee but was handed a paper that said $178 was very confused. Was told I had my ac pipe drained AFTER it was done. I said “why didn’t you ask?” The repair said “it needed to be done, so I went ahead and did it.” I said “but you’re charging me an extra $99 for this that I wasn’t prepared to pay for. I didn’t give permission. He said “it’s too late now. It’s already done, you have to pay. I don’t need your permission.” I was confused and upset and just paid for it. They hustled an extra Benjamin out of me but lost my business for the long run. I will never use this company again.
Right from the beginning I knew Coastal Heating and Cooling was the right choice for my new AC. Melissa explained all the choices and what would work best for my house. She made me few informed but also didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, which I loved. Will and Mike arrived at the scheduled time and went straight to work. They were professional, clean and trustworthy. I was amazed that only after 3 1/2 hours they were completely done and I was set with a brand new indoor and outdoor unit. I was expecting it to take up to 6 hours. I would definitely recommend Coastal Heating and Cooling to everyone. This business is run my fair, honest and hard working people. Thank you again!

After my regular. A/C repair person passed away, I had no one to call. My 3 year old unit went out during a typical heatwave and no one could get the part I needed. I called Melissa and through some research, she found one in South Florida. They had it in and running in a few days. Because of her extra effort, I am cool again. Her technician, Vern, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend them.
Where do I start? How about Excellent, Professional, Trustworthy, Timely to start. From the phone (Melissa) to the end (William and all the techs), these guys are the best. We have used them on several of our Flip houses as well as our own home. Called at 7:00 am this morning and problem solved by 10:00 am...beat that! My message to you is CALL COASTAL first and you will never call anyone else again!
Melissa and her team of professionals truly go above and beyond, and stand behind their products and service 100%. Call them day or night, and they will be there! I have used them multiple times at multiple locations, and they have always performed top notch service at competitive prices! Give them a call for your HVAC needs!
Coastal really is the best company and nicest staff of people in the area, and I've tried several in my 35 years in this house. They were great at helping my daughter with a problem created by another company, and today they really saved me from this awful heat. From the time my system quit working they were here in less than an hour. I wouldn't count on that every time, but I think Melissa really understood that I'm elderly and not that well, so she sent someone right away. The tech did an awesome job of quickly and skillfully getting my house cool again. Most importantly, they're honest and have reasonable prices! I wouldn't call anyone else now that I've found them!
We cannot say enough positives about this company! From Melissa who takes the calls, to Vern, our HVAC go-to guy, this company is First Class! The previous homeowners used Coastal and we called them when we moved in for HVAC maintenance. Vern came out within 3 hours, serviced the HVAC and gave us a tutorial on maintaining the units. Recently, our AC went out and the capacitor needed replacement. Since it had been replaced previously by the former owners, it was under warranty and there was no charge for the call! How awesome! What an upright company! Call them! You won't be disappointed! GREAT COMPANY!
Will picked up this year's maintenance appointment and diagnosed a freon leak. He came back on Wednesday and fixed it, making sure to check everything for any other issues. Very professional. This will be my go to heating and cooling company!
After having issues with multiple big name companies over the years we called Coastal based on a friends referral. Glad we did! We now use them for our business and home HVAC units. They are always very reasonable, on time, and they never try to sell me parts we don't need. Thank you!

I called on a Saturday in the middle of July because I thought our unit might be acting up. I was contacted an hour later and had someone at my house the same day. Lucky I called! Vernon showed us the issue which was getting worse and fixed it the same day. He was wonderful and explained everything. It was terribly hot but I made sure he was shaded and hydrated- take care of your technicians they are people working in horrible conditions (my very hot yard)! This company is family owned and delivers phenomenal service. They have our business for life!
Melissa gave the most excellent communication, coordination, and customer service when our A/C went out in the hottest time of the year. The technician was there within a few hours and I was so pleased with their proactive communication to let me know when he was on the way and what was needed to repair our unit. (Also, I called Donovan A/C too, but was so turned off by their customer service and annoyance at my call.) I highly recommend Coastal!
Called Coastal at 10 am when my home wouldn’t get below 80 degrees. Very uncomfortable in July! Spoke with Melissa and she was very easy to speak with as I explained the AC issue. Vernon came out at the scheduled time and within an hour, diagnosed the problem, made the repair and my home was back to comfort temp with a quickness!!! I highly recommend Coastal and will only be contacting them if future AC needs arise. Thank you Melissa and Vernon!!!
My AC recently went out and Coastal Heating & Cooling was an amazing company to work with. Melissa got me a quick appointment and Will was on time and great about explaining problem and next steps with me. The prices were good and there were no "hidden fees" or added expenses after I received my quote. Coastal Heating & Cooling will be my AC Company for life!
Great owners fast and affordable service they do not try to oversell you if your equipment still has some life to it they will do everything possible to get you up and running.
What an awesome company! Got to me same day, was respectful of my home and provided very thorough inspection and explanation of the issues that needed to be repaired. Great customer service and definitely will use again. A+++
The technician was polite, but we were dismayed he didn't wear a mask, as we're in the middle of a pandemic, and we feel a business sending someone into a private residence should have them wear a mask out of prudence.
