If you're seeking a company that presents itself as friendly and provides in-home services, but unfortunately ends up damaging your minisplit system while attempting to sell you an $800 repair job due to your being a woman alone at home, with your husband at work, and then misinforms you about the lifespan of minisplit systems, claiming they only last 5 years when they typically last between 12 and 20 years, this is the experience you can expect. To make matters worse, when you contact them about the broken unit, they inform you that their manager is unavailable on Fridays, causing delays in addressing the issue. After your wife contacts them, they promise to speak with a supervisor, but subsequent follow-up calls reveal that they still haven't received a response from the manager and need to determine if the necessary part can even be ordered. Eventually, they inform you that they have located the part and it will arrive in 5-10 business days, at which point they will contact you to schedule a replacement for the broken unit. However, a month goes by without any communication from them, prompting you to write a review due to the absurdity of the situation. In exchange for an $89 fee, all you received was a technician who not only damaged the housing but also failed to check the freon levels, citing unfavorable weather conditions as an excuse. If you find yourself in need of such an unprofessional and frustrating experience, then this is the company for you.
We had a new AC and Dual Fuel Heat Pump installed along with new ducts and were very pleased with their work and crew, we highly recommend Sanborn's.
The technicians were thorough and listened to my concerns. They educated me on the process and were very courteous and professional.
Called in today 2/27/23 to request a part got a quote for $375, but my is still under warranty meaning that this part should only cost me whatever shipping is. The total cost of the part is question is $35. This place was going to up charge me $340 for just the part alone. So the part and an hour of labor would have cost me 440 plus tax. This place is horrible never do business here.
I use the Sanborn's for all of our heating & AC. They have very reasonable prices. They're customer services is amazing! I love using their seasonal service to help maintain our unit. They do everything they can to help save us money which is uncommon. If you are looking for honest and reliable than you cannot go wrong. Will definitely continue to use them.
We asked for some clarification on a proposed list of upgrades to our system. Nate came out to discuss our concerns and explained very effectively what each item included and its potential for increased service and reliability -even though we have a 17 year old system in two houses. His honesty was evident, which is what we have come to expect from the Sanborn company for our 17 year history.
Had a technician out for a quote in November and they were friendly. Felt good about the answers to my questions and was pleased with the visit. But they never delivered the quote to me. Called back to follow up after a week of no word and they still couldn’t give me a quote. Too bad. The other reviews looked enticing. But someone else has my business now. Not good business to ghost a potential customer. Good luck to everyone else needing a new hvac system….hope you’re not left in the cold. I had to take off work to meet the associate and then to not hear back was extremely disappointing. I don’t have infinite sick time. Very inconsiderate.
Armando did an excellent job of servicing our furnace. He was professional and courteous. I like how he took the time to show me pictures of the work he did when he was in the attic. He also provided a clear explanation of what was done and why it is important.
The gentleman from Sanborns was very professional, and knew exactly what needed to be done to fix my electrical outlet, I highly recommend this company. He arrived promptly, and he fixed my problem fairly quickly, thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it!
I'm very pleased with Sanborn installation of my AC/Heating System. They were there from the start to the end of the job. They took care of all the paperwork required and helped me with the rebate from the city. Thank you very much Don F.
Great and quick service. We purchased the yearly membership to maintain our air conditioning unit. Everyone we have interacted with has been friendly and knowledgeable.
We have a yearly maintenance contract with Sanborn’s- during our recent fall check of the heating system the representative was so cool- he thought he saw something that wasn’t right and instead of passing over his concern he researched it and clarified the next day! It turned out to be the correct part but It was great that he took the time- thanks Robert!
The team was effective and respecrful. Everytime we called they responded immediately. However, they had to return twice to remedy issues after the initial install. Even still I had make modifications to the settings in the attic. Considering the investment I would not expect to have to resort to any DIY. Overall, effective, a departure from excellence.
I discovered the wonders of mini-split air conditioners five years ago and one bedroom and home office were economically comfortable as a result. With our recent (2022) heat wave I checked into adding another mini-split for the master bedroom. I had very specific installation and electrical requirements and Sanborn did not only a first-rate install of the main Mitsubishi unit, but worked with me on every detail to achieve my electrical and HVAC goals. I was very impressed. I recommend them without reservation.
Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Karla is very friendly when calling for reminders and scheduling. Additionally, Tom is a good dude and he knows his stuff. He came by for heating maintenance and was thorough with his communication, polite while I was working and respectful moving between outdoor and indoor service making sure to wear the shoe covers each time he came inside. Thank you.
Very helpful and professional indeed, really liked the service from Tom. Highly recommend their service. First called them during the off-hour and the lady who answered the phone was not patient so I was very disappointed. But Sanborn's reached out to me shortly after that call and explained to me that lady is not Sanborn's employee but just responsible for taking calls during off hours. Sanborn's has also followed up after the service and apologized again for what happened this morning. Therefore I edited my original review and give them 5 star because that's what they deserve.
We could not be more impressed. In the heat of summer they were able to come out quickly, assess our issue, acquire all the necessary equipment(amidst a shortage) and install without a hitch. Definitely would recommend!
Jerrod was fantastic! We contacted him on a Sunday evening and he came up the mountain to look at our furnace that wasn’t working in Lake Arrowhead. We had renters staying and he was great to work with, letting us know when he was arriving so that we could relay that to them. His communication was incredible. We also appreciated how knowledgeable he is, he taught us a lot! He was great to work with and we look forward to calling them in the spring time when we add AC to our home. Thank you so much!
