Order process went smooth for my replacement windows; they kept me posted as to my order; the installers showed up on time and went the extra mile to satisfy me and the windows look great!

I wrote in regards to a central air purchase I made in June. (It bears repeating it is now mid-September.
I bought a complete new system, including 2 new ducts/vents to compensate for rooms added on to my home since the last central air was put in. It is supposed to be a 14 SEER unit. I explained to Hector who scheduled the install that I needed to take off work for the install and we agreed on July 13. Nu-Temps showed up that day and pulled the old equipment out of my attic. and received the new equipment.

At the end of that day the trash from the attic was piled on the side of my house. The new unit and metal sheeting and various parts were piled in my closet. I was told they would be coming back Monday, July 18 due to excessive heat. I was told someone would be back to pick up the trash.
    .
Monday afternoon, nobody showed. I called and was told quite rudely that it was too hot and they'd call me when they were coming back. I had taken another 3 days off work, without pay. The trash still in my yard, visible from the street.
The following Thursday I haven't heard from anyone. I call, I am told they will be out August 1st. I take off work again with short notice and no pay. And again, Monday afternoon I call because nobody has shown. I am told they will be out August 8th.

Now, this is the first time I complained. I am pretty much told just to wait.

So now, August 8 comes, the unit is put in and the trash is taken away. However, the second new duct/vent isn't put in. It's explained to me that it just won't fit in the space and is unnecessary. I am assured that a larger duct will be put to the existing vent in the master bedroom to compensate.

After a day or two it is apparent that it is uncomfortable warm in the master bedroom. This room was originally about 120 sqft. It is now close to 320 sqft. this single vent isn't cutting it. Also after going into my attic i see that the duct isn't actually any bigger than the one that was there. I was lied to.

I am so tired of typing this all out.

So I make some phone calls, I receive a call from Ross in Customer service. I tell him the new duct needs to be put in. I need a certificate of SEER rating. And most importantly absolutely no, i do not confirm the job is finished. Because it isn't finished. What I have in my home is not what I was sold. And also, I am out a significant amount of money from taking off work at your request repeatedly.

I get a couple phone calls. They want to send the same people out to fix the job. That's rather insulting. I don't want these people back in my house. They lied to my face. Why, because they thought I wouldn't bother to go into my own attic to see? Of course, getting someone else to come out means that it is already September 20 and the job is not done.
I'm told I'll get the SEER certificate emailed to me. Apparently this taking 6 weeks. they might want to consider switching internet service providers. Nobody wants to address the $2000+ I have lost by taking off work repeatedly. This is something I had brought up from the start. That I needed enough notice to be home from work.

And then the absolute best icing on the cake is that I get the first bill. And I'm told, "Somehow the job was coded as done so...well, you can call the finance dept and ask them to consider your situation"

Now, Someone did come out last week to look in the attic and is supposed to be getting back to me about when they can come fix the missing duct. Meanwhile looking over my paperwork i realize i was supposed to have gotten all new vent covers.

At this point, I don't think I'm ever going to get the SEER certificate. I would bet it's not really a 14 SEER unit. I did speak with someone in finance and they said billing would be held till the job is actually done. I am waiting now to get the late notice in the mail

I literally was ready in June to go with a different company. Sears made promises and matched the other estimate. I went with Sears because i thought I could trust the name.

The only problem was an incorrect part. They have agreed to replace it with the correct par.
The contractors are polite, conscientious, clean and efficient. So glad I went with Sears HomePro!

Our kitchen renovation exceeded our expectations.
All involved in the project from the project manager(Pete) to our contractor(Sue and Heaven) were helpful, professional, always on time and did excellent work.

Overall it was a fair experience but when the linoleum flooring was laid down, a cut was made on the flooring that went almost diagonally across the patterned tiles instead of along the seams of the tile. It was an obvious error on cutting. The flooring is now being replace but it is an inconvenience.

The contractor Sears used, US Air Comfort, and the Sears salesman were both delightful and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I definitely recommend!

    * Your technicians did an excellent job. They were both courteous, efficient, and professional. Best of all, they cleaned up after themselves.

Quoted price was much higher than other people but paid anyway thought I would get better service with name brand. Big mistake. They don't answer calls or e-mail when there is a problem.

    Avoid at all cost,

I was very impressed with the installers and sales staff who worked on my house. The price was right, the installers excellent and the sales staff helpful. Overall an excellent experience.

Very poor. Technicians installed faulty equipment and did not return calls. Had to go to another HVAC company to fix problems. very poor service. They don't care about consumers.
