Top Notch is fantastic. They are very reliable. Their customer service is outstanding! I had to have them out on Christmas Eve! I called and 20 minutes later they were there to fix my furnace. I would recommend Top Notch to anyone.

A tenant's furnace was only briefly kicking on and then shutting off, so I called a place the prior homeowner had used. Didn't get an answer after a day despite voicemails left, so I searched the internet for someone else. A couple did not answer, but when I called Top Notch I got through. He quoted me at $125 for him to come out (weekend rate, whereas weekdays are $87) and said he'd be over shortly. He showed up within a half hour, I told him the problem and he opened up the furnace. Instantly he said "I know what the problem is". It was a problem with how tubing was installed, so he cut it, flicked it off and on, and the furnace began to run properly. I checked the tenant's apartment and it was working.

In addition, I mentioned the other tenant I have was complaining of a lack of air getting out, so he opened that up and it had the same problem. Fixed it, and I will inquire with the tenants if their heating has improved. No extra charge for looking at the second furnace, I paid him what he quoted and we were done within twenty minutes.

They know what they are doing and were honest. The next time I have a problem I will go straight to him. Pretty standard rates, he instantly came out and he did not try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

My AC stopped working last week. Called Top Notch and they
diagnosed the issue over the phone. They thought that they knew what was wrong and they were correct.
I told them I would meet them right after I got off work and I got stuck in Pittsburgh 376 traffic and was 20 minutes late....
and they were there before me waiting and waited. Got the issue repaired in less
than 1 hr and the price was reasonable. Very pleased!

This was the first time I've ever had a boiler installed and Bill and his crew from Top Notch couldn't have made it any easier on me. They made sure that all of the costs were clear before they showed up. 6 hours later, I've got hot water again. They even showed me which pipes I should keep an eye on for the future to avoid leaks. I Will definitely be using these guys again for anything else that comes up.

Let me start this review by saying that the gentleman was very knowledgable. It only took him a second of hearing or AC unit running to diagnose the problem, which was really amazing.

However, punctuality was not his strong suit. I called him on Monday to schedule an appointment. He told me He would be here the next day between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. I left work to be home to wait for him but he didn't show up. I called him at 2:30 to ask what the problem was and he explained he was doing a bid on a job and would be there around 3:30. I told him that this was not possible as I was on my way back to work. I gave him (my stupidity) a chance to show up the next day, but explained that he needed to be there promptly at 1 (I don't think I should have to tell an adult business owner this).

The next day, he called me at 12:00 to see if he could come by then, and I had to explain again that we made an appointment for 1 and I would be there at 1. This time he showed up and, as stated above, diagnosed the issue without even looking at the unit (just hearing it run for a moment) which showed his knowledge.

Unfortunately, he charged me for parts 3 times what they cost (a simple google search provided a range of prices) and refused to provide me with a receipt for said parts when I asked him (he just went out to buy the parts, he definitely had the receipt). I will never be using this company again and would advise those who value their time and money to avoid this business.

On January 11th my home temperature fell to 52 degrees and my furnace would not kick on. I feared that my pipes would freeze. I called three different HVAC services in Pittsburgh and the third was a charm. Top Notch got my furnace up and running in less than an hour and did not kill me on the price. Thank you Top Notch!

A live person actually picked-up the phone when I called! Bill Reilly was friendly and courteous, both over the phone and in-person.
He called 15-30 minutes before he got there...I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. Fixed my furnace for a lot less than I thought it would cost. Great experience.

Top Notch was so helpful! When we got home last weekend the A/C was completely out. We called them saturday morning and they came within an hour! I talked to Bill and he could not have walked us through it any better. Now we've got a brand new system that works great. Thanks again!
