After paying other Plumbers to come to my house and not getting good responses, I called Mario at Action Plumbing. He immediately called me back and there was no bs. He gave me great advice and was determined to help me with my water line leak, which turned out to be on the city side of the curb stop valve. I can't say enough good things about his service. His knowledge is impeccable and true. He is a man who you can trust, and the job will get done right because he truly takes Action to make it happen. Thanks Mario !!!
Action Plumbing did an excellent job of refurbishing my obsolete radiant floor heating system controls. Mario was timely and professional. He offered an effective solution and completed the job in short time. Great to work with.
I have known Action Plumbing for many years - Action has done extensive work at my father’s house (replaced multiple radiators among other items) and just recently installed a pressure regulator on my new home. He was incredibly punctual, professional, and did excellent work. I couldn’t recommend Action enough!
Not a scam artist. You need to listen to what they are telling you. There is a call fee and yes he tells you about it before they come out. We had roots clogging our drainage pipes to the sewage system, and the water backed up into our house. We called numerous other "plumbers" and even had a a budget "plumber" come out and tell us that they couldn't clear the line because of "bends in pipes". Action Plumbing was recommended by a co-worker, and Mario returned my call immediately. He informed me that there is a service charge for coming out, but he was the only one who was willing to come out on a Saturday night. He cleaned out the pipe and got the drains working again. They charge by the job not by the time, so even if the job takes 5 minutes or 5 hours its still the same price, and its done right. Mario even called the city to have their lines checked, and the restoration company to have my carpeting and walls fixed. Definitely worth a call in an emergency.
The above mentioned root totally choked off the pipe a year later because trees grow and no matter how many times you snake the they find the sewer lines. We had them come out and replace the sewer line. Granted it took them a few weeks to get out but they covered the permits ahead of time and covered cost until they came out. Yes my front lawn is ripped to shreds but they had run trenches and dig out the old lines.
If I could score less than one star I would. I called about a full system replacement. The technician seemed annoyed right from the start and told me it would be $120 service fee just to come out for the estimate. When I said I would try someone else he got very irritated. I own and operate a small business in the construction industry. I will never use Action for anything and would advise everyone else to do the same. He was so unprofessional and just plain miserable.
Mario is probably the smartest problem solver you will meet, a great attribute for your plumber. Yes, you will pay what he is worth - and it will be done right.
Have used him for years. Once, he correctly surmised that a squirrel had jumped and fallen down our roof vent. Don't hesitate to use Action Plumbing.
Have a clogged drain, called Action Plumbing and they were not helpful at all. Very pushy and would not let me finish my sentences. I have a busy schedule and took time off from work to get the issue taken care of. I called another local plumber and they got back to me within the hour and were able to come out same day and provided me with a fixed price for a line cleaning. So simple and easy. Would not recommend these guys bases just on my conversation with them over the phone.
Mario came to fix my water heater which had broken upper/lower thermostats - I wasn't getting any hot water. Not only did he fix the thermostats but also gave me tips on how to maintain my water heater and what to look out for with my circuit breakers as they related to our water heater (potential fire hazards). I'm very happy with his service as he was professional and educated about what he was doing. He discussed what needed to be done and how much it would cost up front. There was no delay and he was able to fix it within his visit. Thanks Mario!
In each case, I have been 100% satisfied. The fees are known up front. The work is paid for by the job, not by the hour. The work is always top notch and any questions I have regarding what was done are answered (and, when possible, I was shown exactly what was done and how to handle it myself next time if needed).
After having used other services in the are and paying dearly for work that took longer than expected, I would definitely recommend Action Plumbing.
Update - I did receive a call back from Action. They reviewed the tape with their answering service. The woman hung up on me, yes but she did so when I said "I will call back......." click. She didn't hear me continue to say "Can you tell me when someone might be in the office." I can't truly hold that against Action Plumbing. I did request a time for an estimate but they will only come out on a service call and charge me for it. I don't need a service call, I need my furnace and hot water heater replaced. I understand they won't give me a price over the phone, although others did give me ballpark estimates. But to be charged a service call when this isn't a service call, it is an estimate on work, I don't like that idea either. Contractors are typically available to come over, look at a job and give an estimate for repairs. There aren't usually charges associated with that. So I will stick with the others that said without looking, I can say it could be between X and Y but we will come out and write up a full estimate for you.
Just called to ask about prices on hot water heaters and furnaces. I got told I was calling a paging service. Ok, I get that. I ask can you tell me when someone might be in the office so I can speak directly to them? The service hung up on me. Well, if that's who they want representing them, I don't think I'll be having them in my home. What a shame, the house I bought is literally 6 doors down from their office. They could walk to me. Oh well...
