I have used Minter & Sons for the last 15 years at 2 different houses. I have bought maintenance agreement for both. I have had great service and would recommend to friends and family.

Jeff and his team did a excellent job! I called for a tune up cleaning and it was just in time. My drain was clogged and potentially could have leaked creating a bigger problem. Much appreciation for you and your team.

Our old unit's compressor was out on 8/29/2018 and we were looking for estimates from many different HVAC companies, but Minter and Son tech came by on 8/31/2018 and offered us instead of giving us the estimate he would like to try to solve the problem and fix it. He seemed kind and earnest so we agreed and voila! He fixed it and charged only $140 which was way better than thousands of dollar to replace the AC unit or the compressor. And he said that everything looks good. But it went down again in less than three weeks (9/19/2018)! We called and he said that everything looked great when he checked it last time (8/31/2018). And then he didn't offer to put the $140 toward the replacement cost at all, even after we asked about it. He offered to replace the compressor and fill the freon for $3,450. After we researched properly, actually our refrigerant from the old AC was still the R-22 which was supposed to be replaced with the new standard R410 since it's not produced or imported anymore, so the price will keep going up like crazy! And other HVAC companies offered the same price with better warranty for replacing the whole AC unit (not only the compressor as the Minter and Son tech suggested)!! And what the tech guy did was actually palyed with the wiring so that he can "jumped" the compressor and it will run for a little while but then it will explode. It was just like jumping our car battery but the alternator was bad, it might work for a bit but then it will die! So he thought he could pinch more money out of the customer before they replace the whole unit in less than three weeks! We should have never agreed for him to try to fix it, because he only "jumped" it and made us pay the extra $140 and in two weeks they can charge us again with their overpriced estimate. Luckily, we learned and never use them again. Plus, sharing this bad experience so that others won't have to experience the same scamming technic. They seemed genuine and offered to "fix" it but actually they try to make the customer spend more and more whenever they seem nice and try to "help" us out just only paying a few hundred buck instead of thousands but they smart enough to know how many more times they can "help" and charge us until we finally have to replace the whole system which cost thousands of dollars soon! So beware home owners!

Prompt service on a furnace problem. They were out to the house within an hour of my call on a Saturday. Have used them for years and highly recommend them.

on Tuesday, august, 26, I had your tech come out after the storm and check my a/c condenser for damage. as he looked at the voltage to the unit it was 120v. and he told me that it seemed that I had lost one leg of my electric service from OGE. which, after that on friday , august 30, OGE repaired the break in their line. Your tech rates a "10" in my view. very professional, and knowledgable,. thank you for your quick response to my call.

I had a service call to my house 6-19-17 to replace a worn fan capacitor on my A/C unit. The technician, Jason, showed up on time and was very professional, courteous, and friendly. He checked the unit and verified the capacitor as being weak (about 1.5 MF out of the rated 45 MF) and replaced it with one off his truck. Jason also thoroughly checked my unit as part of his service call. The entire repair process from the time Jason arrived at my home until he left did not exceed 20 minutes. The issue I have, however, was what I was charged -- $260.95; $89.95 for the service charge and $171.00 for a 40/440 dual capacitor. Jeff, the person currently answering the telephone and dispatching technicians, informed me that this was "flat rate." Even though I can buy the part for $19.10 (plus tax) from the local Grainger Supply as a walk-in retail customer. A capacitor is not a difficult item to diagnose with a multimeter or replace (remove the service cover and unplug the old capacitor and plug in the new one). I have a hard time understanding how a $20 part becomes $171 through any "flat rate" process, particularly when I had the entire fan and capacitor replaced on my old A/C unit a few years ago -- ON A WEEKEND -- for less than this charge today. All attempts to get an explanation from Jeff have been met by insults and condescension. So how about it, Minter and Sons, why is a $20 part upcharged by $150? The $89.95 service charge should've covered my convenience to have someone come to my house, but $171 for a basic part that you all carry on your trucks is a little hard to accept as fair. You all have my telephone number. (Invoice number 50383.) Please call.
