Disappointed. The work was acceptable and a bad thermostat was indentified.
Basically the outside compressor units were showered off, gas levels checked and the thermostat was replaced.
But filters were not checked nor was the main blower unit & drain lines for the primary compressor.
The seasonal service rate was high compared to others for the work that was done.
However, what prompted me to write this review was the replacement thermostat.
The cost was $169. After the fact, I find I can buy that same model all day long from Amazon for $60. Simply added insult to injury.

As pointed out above, they did an acceptable job.
I expect to get fleeced by local big advertiser HVAC companies, which is why I never use them.
But today to my surprise, I feel got fleeced by Minter.
Would use again if needed but will look at other choices for HVAC service next time.

It was Sunday morning. It was Hot. My daughter's home lost the AC. I called Minter and Son. I was told that technicians were booked, but if I wanted, they would make sure they got to me today. It was Hot. So I said please. Tech checked in several times during the day to update me on ETA. After what was certainly a long day for the tech, he called to say he was on the way. It was 9:30 PM. I suggested we wait until morning. I was 1st call for Monday morning. Technician was knowledgeable and professional. AC was back in service within the hour. Invoice was reasonable. Minter and Sons will be my go to HVAC company.

Wow! That's all I can say about this company. So let me explain I had two different companies to come out to fix my furnace but it didn't happen. So I call this company and Jason was concerned, patient and very professional. He found out what was wrong and fixed it. If anybody need the job done right this company is the truth.

I highly recommend double checking their work if you’ve used or currently use them. If you have a choice go with a more competent company. I have to rerun my whole duct system because of their lack of pride in work and attention to code. A word of advice, if you’re doing a job that you know for a fact the customer is in the same field don’t do a shade tree handyman job. They are going to double check your work. I can’t stress enough stay away from this sub par company.

I WAS a long-time, loyal customer for 16+ years in Edmond and also in a small town in the OKC metro area. We had a yearly contract w/ them in both towns to inspect heat/air to get ready for the upcoming season. Today (August 22, 2016) I find out that this company no longer will come to our small town. What?!?! We are only 26.5 miles away according to all the internet maps! I'm sure they drive farther than that in OKC &/or in Edmond in order to get to a customer's house or to get parts at a warehouse.
Furthermore, the owner talked to me twice within 4 days to schedule & then confirm the service appointment and yet took the coward's way out by not telling me on the phone either time that his company would not come to our small town anymore. He made his service technician tell me instead. Owner had ample opportunity to tell me on the phone that they were not going to come again, yet he did not.
I remind you that I had been a Minter's customer from the mid-1990's through 08-22-16 at 2 addresses in Edmond & now in our small town 26.5 miles from their business location.
I am angry, hurt, and disappointed and will never recommend them again to anyone. I felt as if they "fired" me as a customer today after over 16+ years!
If this is how they treat their long-term customers I pity any potential new customer.
If I could give a NO STAR rating after the way we were "fired" today by the owner, I would.

Excellent company and group of mens. My AC kept going off and gave them a call and they showed up when I need them in this heat. Great communication and customer service. I Would definitely recommend them! Thanks again!!!
