Minter and Sons Heating & Air Conditioning

A technician from Miter & Sons came to my house on the day I called and fixed the problem. A bad fan motor on the compressor, which is what I told him the problem was.
What I have an issue with is how much he charged for fixing it. $865.00 (not including the $99. service fee I assume is charged for all visits) to replace the compressor fan motor. After paying for the service, I looked up the price of compressor fan motors. The most expensive one I found was no more than $200.00. That is being marked up by 400% (or more).
While it is nice to have cool air for me and my pets (the reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1star), I feel like I was definitely ripped off. These people are not cheap! I would hate to have seen how much they would have charged for a full compressor replacement.
I will find a different company with more reasonable rates next time.

I just read through other reviews again. I should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. Apparently super overpriced work is a common theme for these people.

My air conditioner quit working about 9 PM the night before. I sent an email request for an appointment at about 7 AM the next morning. They called me at 8 AM and let me know they could get somebody out there that morning. They arrived about 9:30 AM and I had cold air blowing within a few minutes. Hayden was the technician. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. They got me fixed up for a much better price than I was expecting. Would highly recommend them and can’t say enough about Hayden. Thank you.

They called and got me in several hours before the original appointment time. The house was cold so I was grateful. Dan was knowledgeable and very thorough. He even verified part compatibility for something that wasn’t related to the task he was performing. He took time to explain to me and answer questions. The company’s service call to show up was $60 less than their competitor I called. Thank you Minter & Sons for getting my house warm!

These folks are very reliable and trustworthy. They do a fantastic job at the best prices. I have been using them for over 10 years. The go to company for all my heat and air needs!

Minter and Sons were courteous and kind when we had them out to service our AC unit. Their attention to detail and ability to listen was impressive as well as appreciated. They were prompt for our appointment and checked our system with care and were transparent with what they found and had it fixed quickly at a very reasonable price. So much so that we feel comfortable recommending them to anyone. Way to go!

The serviceman, Jason was at my house within the hour of my call. He was very professional and polite, and took time to explain what he thought was wrong and why he thought that. Throughout the trouble shooting, he kept me up to date as to what was happening. He was able to get the heater running until the part came in and returned the next day to install the part. I feel he is a very honest serviceman and cares about taking care of people, and would highly recommend Minter & Sons. I was referred to them from several people.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Minter & Sons! Not only did they come out at 7PM to look at my AC unit that wasn't working, but they were at my house within 30 minutes of me calling. They replaced my entire HVAC system (AC and furnace) the next day, and had it up and running by 3PM. The techs were professional and friendly, and worked quickly to get my house cooled off! I will definitely use Minter & Sons for any HVAC maintenance/issues I have in the future! Highly recommend!!

I highly recommend this company. I own several rent homes in Edmond and have found the technicians to be quick, knowledgeable, and courteous. They responded very quickly on a call on a late Friday afternoon and had a tech there within minutes.

They also listened to a recommendation from my home warranty provider to replace the flue in one of my homes. This change was not covered by the warranty.

However, rather than simply do the recommended change, they suggested a much cheaper alternative which fixed the problem.

Their phone staff is also very courteous and efficient.
