I called them up to schedule a much needed maintenance and inspection of the AC system (basically to get it ready for summer) and intended another in the fall for the heating portion of my system. We had a set date/time and their technician showed up at an inopportune time before i was ready. Since I was home, I let them in. In summary, the technician did not do a complete job according to the report he left about the visit and what was requested. Technician lacked basic knowledge of hvac filters to make a decision with regard to my system/home, he did not open up the AC portion of my system inside to inspect its elements and clean dirty coils (which in researching later on can cause damage to the entire system if not addressed-have an older system that has worked fairly well so far); provided misinformation regarding those components that they were unimportant and required no attention; by all appearances he clipped electrical wires in the heating portion of my system with wire cutters, explained it as having been melted apart, identified an associated part as needing replaced for a good sum of money (lied that it had no part number on it to lookup), poured liquid on other wires that was supposed to be used for cleaning the part of the system he refused to open and was a primary component to inspect for the visit; he allegedly checked airflow and coolant line temperatures noting them on the report. By all appearances this company sent out an inexperienced person whose actions may have caused damage to my HVAC system had I not looked into his work a bit further. At a point, he complained of airflow being an issue but didn't clean dirty coils blocking air from flowing in the AC coils (last point before they enter the ducts in my system, apparently). A customer shouldn't have to secondguess the work they are paying people good money for. The visit seems like a ripoff due to a very important component of the system being overlooked that was supposed to be prepared for summer properly. I requested a BBB resolution of the visit being fulfilled to completion if not redone (due to misinformation presented in it) to which payment would be given as intended (currently a charge back to CC has occured), fixing the electrical wiring in the heating block (the employee has caused suspicion of sabatgue by stating misinformation in several regards) and a credit of some sort for the fall inspection. Photos of the AC coils are included with this review along with the electrical section in the heating block that was not up for inspection until the fall (the employee should have closed this back up and focused on the AC portion as the company told me AC and heating checkups are separate). Homeowner was only interested in knowing generalities of his system, expected this company to excersize expertise in the down in the weeds stuff. Homeowner tried to get just enough information to be informed but not interfere in technicians work. Homeowner was provoked into wasting time and energy trying to resolve an issue of rework created by employees' actions/statements.
Nolan was prompt and professional. He explained everything in a personable way and gave the advice I needed.
3/24/2023 Nolan came back to inspect and service my AC. The condenser looked pretty grubby before he came, and he got it spotless. I feel confident having prospective buyers see it. I appreciate Nolan's attention to my situation as a home seller.
Called on a Sunday because we had no heat. Got the answering service. No return call for 3 hours. Called again. When teck returned my call he told me it was after hours rate and he wouldn't have the part to fix it anyway so I should schedule Monday and I would get better time if I was one of there members. Monday they couldn't be here when anyone was home. Came Tuesday and the price for the repair was over 3 times the cost of the part I looked up on line. He seemed more interested and spent more time trying to sell us a new system. If I get a new system it won't be from them
Thomas and David were the technicians. They were here 11/2 hours. They did a tune up on my furnace and recommended surge protectors and renewing my membership totaling over $1200.00.I didn't do any of them. I had asked the cost of the service when I scheduled it and was told there would be no charge. The last time I received service from Drake they recommended the surge protectors and a new thermostat totaling $1000.00. I declined that time as well. I bought a new thermostat for $40.00 and my nephew installed it. I feel like your company is price gauging. I have a low income and struggle to pay my normal bills . It doesn't help that my gas, electric and water bill were $100.00 higher this month. I really like your company and your employees, but you need to understand I have to choose between paying my utility bill or get groceries. I can't afford anything else right now.
We really like Jake. He is very personable, smart and professional. He explains each step as he does them and answers any questions we have. He does his work throughly. He is kind to our animals. He arrives on time. We absolutely recommend Jake and look forward to seeing him in the fall.
We were super impressed with the technician and installation crew. We called on Monday to report that our furnace quit running and the technician came out right away. It was determined that we needed a new furnace to replace our 25 year old existing one. Because of the impending freezing temperatures, they ordered and installed the new furnace the next day. I can’t express enough how professional this team was. They all were so nice, so helpful, and walked us through the whole process. The technology was also impressive. I would recommend Drake Heating to anyone needing furnace or air conditioning service. They are top notch.
This was the first checkup/preventive maintenance from new install last year. I am highly confident and comfortable with this system and the professional that serviced today.
Josh gave an awesome quote on new A/c duct work with a free furnace which we needed due to base board heat. Tommy and his crew came up and did awesome work, was very clean about their work and informed us on everything they were doing if any changes. I would recommend Drake to anyone
David came well before expected which I liked. He was nice, courteous, professional and worked quickly. I’m not sure of the quality as I just received service today 1-30-23. But I have confidence I won’t need another repair for a while. I would use this company again.
Audra was so sweet on the call, willing to try getting me in asap while Casey the tech was amazing and explained everything! Arrived within 30 min and spent barely any time repairing something Logan’s ac and heat services was unable to do last week on their service call. Great Job Drake !!
