Quantae was fantastic. He was able to help us find parts we didn’t know the names of, contacted tech support who was also amazing. This kind of customer service is decreasing, but we experienced it today.

We recently had a problem with our shower not draining and we were getting tired of standing in two inches of water every day. Reluctantly, we called a plumber. After three tries he managed to snake it out, but recommended we go to Grainger and buy a gallon of “Nu-Calgon Drain Cleaner” (Item 10C739, Mfr. Model 4134-08). After driving several miles to Grainger, they took a gallon off the shelf and tried to ring it up. The register indicated this product was “exempt [or prohibited] from sale”. The salesperson called their company help line who confirmed it was prohibited from being sold and could not complete the sale. She even tried to set up a business account so we could purchase it for ‘commercial’ use, but the register once again prohibited the sale. The salesperson even acquired names of two other substitutes Grainger carried, but they also were prohibited for sale. We had confirmed on the computer before we left that they had 5 gallons of the cleaner in stock. The salesperson stated that it could not even be sold to a licensed plumber! Really?! Then why would Grainger advertise the product, show it in stock, and even place it on their shelves causing us to drive there and waste our time if it’s not for sale? This certainly does not reflect positively on Grainger.

I come here all the time and I spent thousands at this store and just today his name was Simon and another guy stayed over to help to make sure I got my product so I can help a customer out they are the real reason why I will never leave Grainger. Thank you Granger for employing them. I will never use another company other than Grainger. Thank you Simon you and the other guy are the best at the Dayton needmore road location

Really nice park that happens to have a wonderful Museum attached to it. They also have the original Wright flyer 3. The one actually flown by the Wright brothers.

Ordered a portable hand washing station. First delivery was in terrible condition. Box was torn, moldy and filthy, had been saturated with water and was still damp. heavily taped just to get it to hold together. Wash station was damaged (parts broken by hard impacts) in places where the box wasn't, and speckled in orange dirt. First replacement was in similar condition, not as severe, but the box was dirty, wet and torn, wash station was damaged (more broken parts) and covered with dirt. Second replacement was also in water-soaked box, but not damaged. However, the item had a small amount of water in the supply tank, suggesting that it had been used. All 3 boxes looked like they had been used as tackling dummies for a football team practicing on a wet field. If I had to guess, I would say these all went through the Memorial Day tornadoes, were written off as destroyed for the insurance money, then restocked to sell as new.
Not at all the kind of result I expected from Grainger. The only good part of the experience was the very apologetic customer service ladies I talked to each time. They seemed genuinely appalled that their company would ship such horrible product and expect us to accept it. Will think very hard before purchasing from Grainger again!
